[open] How long will I slide?
who: Steve Rogers (616) and anyone!
what: Hopping rooftops and attempting relaxation. How does Steve "fun"?
when: June 12th-17th
where: Around Riverview in various places.
warnings: None
i. parkour like you mean it
[ Steve has made his own routine since coming to Riverview, and part of his exercise regimen is taking a run around the city near the housing building. He just happens to do it by taking the high road. If anyone happens to look up (or be on the rooftop of a building enjoying the sights) they could catch sight of the man running at full speed, using the balconies and awnings to create a path all his own. If they make eye contact, Steve will even wave!
They might also happen to see him fall. With the flying beasts still here and there and Steve certainly not about to let that deter him, he inevitably gets knocked off of a ledge as he's fending them off. Falling seems to be a constant in his life. ]
ii. Prijata time
[ Steve has given out some gifts to his friends, and if you happen to be one of them, he has handed those out in person whenever he can. He'll be tracking people down in order to check up with them as well, since that's his way of celebrating friendship on the weird moon.
For people that he doesn't know well, he's still going to do what he can to share some Prijata spirit. He's offering to do sketches for people of things and friends they miss from home, as well as some group shots of new friends they have met in the city. This is more practice he's gotten in art for a long time now, and he seems happy to get back to it. If he notices someone standing off by themselves, he goes up to them with a small bag of local candy or fried snack from a nearby vendor that he's gotten attached to. Making friends is a celebration he can get behind. ]
Are you hungry? I think I got too much.
iii. Hanging with friends
[ When he isn't playing building platformer, Steve goes jogging on the normal streets. He likes company, so if people have expressed interest in the past, he invites them to join him. He might wake the late sleepers up if he knows they are planning on an early morning jog with him, or he'll wave at other people out when he's taking his laps and head toward them.
Later in the day, he's training. Either at one of the gyms or in the park, enjoying the sunlight. If anyone around is up for sparring or a friendly competition, Steve will happily take them on. Even on their terms, because he likes learning new things. When he's actually taking a break, he finds people who are doing their own outdoor activities and having fun so he can watch them, maybe learn something about a new sport?
Or, if he's lucky, someone can show him a better way to get around besides running everywhere. The city is big. ]

i. because it is hilarious
today is one of those days.
it is still rather early for most, not that Tony is one to pay much attention to things like time, and he is coming back from buying more coffee and has with him a large bg of sweet (and savory) pastries that he plans on sharing with those on his floor, when he catching movement out of the corner of his eye.
very familiar movement.
the laugh that sputters from his lips when he realizes that Steve is parkouring his way across the housing complex. because clearly walking places (or regular workout routines) were too plebeian for him. Tony has his mouth open to call a hello when he notices the flying beasts. right in Steve's path.
honestly, nothing to really worry about, but Tony is setting his bag of pastries down, and pressing the button on his phone to summon the armour, just in case.
and it is a good thing, because between him setting the bag down and running over to where Steve is, the blond manages to lose the battle against gravity and fall from the ledge. Tony wants to catch him, but he also knows enough about physics that trying to do that without the suit would probably just end in more damage to him and that isn't a great idea and--
Tony moves to try and break Steve's fall anyway, irrational move or not. ]
freeeee freefalling
oh my god /cackles
I don't want to fall another moment into your gravity
hdu with that. rood.
I'll colour me blue anything it takes to
swore I'd never lose control [then I fell in love with a heart that beats so slow]

He's helping himself to a bit of everything, interested in the foods of other cultures and curious to see if anything will top the meals he had in Midgard. They aren't as grand as an Asgardian feast, but he's enjoying the new flavours and textures for the most part.
Some not so much.
Whatever he served himself a helping off has proven to be unsatisfactory for him. When he turns to look at Steve, his face is scrunched up in disgust and he's abandoning the bowl on a nearby table in favour of the candy Steve is offering him.]
I will be glad to unburden you. [He doesn't hesitate to pry open the bag and pop one into his mouth.]

[ That's a guy falling. Huh. How about that.
Cain's really just minding his own business nearby, futzing with a laptop and taking in the atmosphere (only slightly tense now that the bird creatures are fewer in number and people just get used to things way too quickly, it seems) when he notices something in his peripherals. Looking up, he catches someone darting across a rooftop and then darting off one. Well, he was pushed, really, and ain't that something.
There's not a lot he can actually do? He's a quick thinker but he just has a laptop and a good seat for the show. Maybe he should work on some kind of utility belt but that's really pushing it. So instead of being useful, he walks over to the eventual touchdown area, computer under his arm, and checks on him. He knows this guy, turns out, and there's some actual concern now. ]

she thinks about a warm shower and a light dinner and it's all pleasant and quiet and then, and then he falls.
just a few feet ahead of her. to add insult to injury, he actually startles her.
when he looks up, there's Peggy Carter, in a simple blouse thrown over what must be a training bra and slacks, hands on her hips. ]
Is this your way of saying 'good evening'?

Fate, of course, has other plans and whoops, there goes one Captain America and now Doom has to actually do something. He doesn't go swooping in to save him, oh no. Instead he snaps his fingers and summons something to catch his fall. Like a large landing mat. Good deed done, he starts to turn away before stopping. Right, he's a hero now. Time to walk over and see if he's okay.]
I hope you're aware that there's these things called sidewalks and streets you can use to traverse around this place.

Steve was easy to locate. Super soldier or not, he was the kind of person to spend most of his time training. Tony doesn't approach him in the park, merely watches him from a distance, occasionally rubbing at his red-rimmed eyes. Steve's fluid movements seems to remain the same no matter the universe so this way it almost feels like he's watching an Ultimates training session that he's excused himself from.]

616 has cried more than him!!!!!
BUT NOT SO MUCH AT STEVE!!! shhh shhh.
POINTS AT STEVE'S FUNERAL

NO MORE TONY TEARS.

Hey, Mister-!
[ He calls out a second too late, and the man is toppling before his eyes. Dick lunges for him, heart in his throat, tossing out his line in a last ditch effort to snag a foot. An arm. He's a big guy, but then Dick's pulled Batman out of a dead freefall before. He hopes, hopes it's enough. ]

If he takes steps forward, he should start as soon as possible and keep going.
He waves to Steve from the door, having brought something homemade along in his bag for him to try, after. It'll stay warm how he's packed it. ]
Hey. How're you doing?
(no subject)
BUT NOT SO MUCH AT STEVE!!! shhh shhh.
[ Wow, Tony, that's both troubling to hear and also enough to make Steve bristle. He sympathizes with the pain and scowls at the anger. Still taking in the emotions, Steve feels Tony push against him and stays put. ]
Is that why you avoid me?
