[Illya pauses for a moment, to process the random gift of a semi stranger. This place is... weird, in many many different ways. He doubts he will ever find it in himself to adapt fully, and he will never stop wishing he were home.

He can also guess at Illya's thought process, so he pops one of the macarons into his mouth and making sure to like, chew and swallow his food before he talks again.]

[Illya relaxes when Taako confirms he was being truthful- but only for a split second, before the fact that Taako was flirting with him hits him. He truly isn’t sure how he’s supposed to react to that. He’s not stupid, and he pays attention: he’s talked to enough people by now to know the gender thing is not an issue, no matter what Illya had been taught. But he wouldn’t even know how to react if a woman flirted with him.

[Illya’s used to people trying to get a rise out of him. He has his berserk buttons but Taako is obviously joking and trying to get a rise out of him, so he will do his best not to raise to the bait. Doesn’t make him any less obviously embarrassed.
He takes the phone, looking at Bryn’s picture and profile and frowning to himself.]
