Shiro didn't make him move, letting him come down from that in his own time. He had to be exhausted after that. He'd lost nearly three years of memories and then they had all come rushing back, just like that. Yes, Shiro would say after going through that, a hug was not an inappropriate thing to want. He had been worried when Keith had lost those memories and worried again when he had suddenly flung himself to the corner of the couch in pain.

He could gradually feel Keith's shaking going away. Still he didn't let him go, waiting for Keith to make the move that he was okay now.

It wasn't until a little while after the shaking stopped that Keith finally sat up and away from Shiro. He rubbed his face again, just taking a bit to feel things out. He was pretty sure he felt nauseous, but he figured that was just from the shock, so he didn't bother mentioning it.

"Thanks..." His voice was quiet. Keith didn't seem to notice that his face was a little flushed, but he did feel oddly warm. He pulled off his sweatshirt, leaving just the t-shirt from underneath on.

"No problem. It's good to have you back, Keith."

Well at least have him remember everything. He had still been Keith before, but without as many memories.

But Shiro frowned when Keith suddenly took off his sweatshirt after that. Also his face looked redder than it had before.

"You feeling all right?"

"I guess?" Keith said. "I mean... that was a lot to deal with." He rubbed his forehead, closing his eyes for a moment. "I don't know. I don't exactly know how something like that is supposed to feel."

"I'm not sure how that is supposed to feel either so if you're not feeling like yourself, I need to be able to tell someone to find out if it normal."

He reached over and put his left hand on Keith's forehead, back of his hand against Keith's skin.

"You do feel warm. Let me get you some water."

And barring objections from Keith, Shiro would get up to get him a glass of ice water.

Now that he thought about it, Keith did feel a little feverish. His initial thought was that it was too hot in the room, but Shiro's touch felt cooler than he expected.

"Well, I guess we know how long it takes to kick in..." he muttered. He took the offered glass of water, and curled up back into the corner of the couch. "I mean... I don't feel great, but I'm not sure." Other than the apparent fever he'd suddenly developed. "I guess I'm a little nauseous, and I've got something of a headache..."

"Yeah, we know how long it takes now."

Shiro handed him the glass of ice water and watched as Keith pressed himself into the corner of the couch, holding onto the water. He frowned, listening to what Keith said.

"It sounds like there are some side effects with this. Take it easy. Hopefully this will only last a few hours or so." He got up after a moment, going back to his room. He came back out with a small bottle of pain killers. "If you want see if it will help."

Keith nodded, watching Shiro head out. He took a sip of the water and then pressed the cool glass against his face for a moment. He looked up at Shiro when he returned, and then nodded again.

"Yeah... it might help with the fever, too." Sometimes that was a thing, so he was willing to give anything a try at this point to get past this discomfort.

He could definitely see that Keith wasn't feeling well when he came back in to find the teen holding the glass against his face. He sat back down beside Keith, shaking a couple of the pills from the bottle out into his hand before carefully passing them to Keith.

"Want me to check and see if they have any information about this?"

Since he's fairly certain this is the side effect of the tea.

"If you want." Frankly, Keith didn't care so much about that at this point. He just wanted to stop feeling crappy. He took the pills, and then worked on stopping himself from guzzling that glass of water. The game was completely forgotten, too.

The game was still on; Shiro hadn't turned it off yet. But he did turn off the television so it wasn't taunting Keith with how well he had been a few minutes ago.

"I don't think there's much point to it now." Keith would still be feeling bad whether he checked or not.

After a moment, Shiro was up again, walking down the hall. He wasn't gone that long, returning with a damp towel, putting that against the back of Keith's neck. It was cool so it should help him feel better.

"Mm." Keith looked up when Shiro headed out, watching him in curiosity. He figured it out when Shiro came back with the towel, and it did help, even if it gave him a slight chill at first. It didn't feel bad, though. In fact, it felt nice, so he left it there, only adjusting it enough to pull his hair out from underneath it.

"Man, this stinks..."

Shiro sat down beside Keith, putting his hand on his shoulder. "I know it does. Try to rest. That should help. You can stay up here until you feel better."

Shiro's roommates were probably used to him being around by now. Not only had he visited before, but since losing his memory, Shiro hadn't wanted the teen to be wandering around on his own. Losing three years of memories and finding himself in a strange place would have been difficult. So another day or so wouldn't hurt anything.

Keith would honestly be surprised if they weren't used to him being there at this point. He finished the water and put the glass aside, then pulled his sweatshirt back on. The "fun" thing about fevers was feeling hot and then cold, almost at the same time. He leaned on Shiro, closing his eyes.

Shiro gave him a sympathetic smile seeing him put his sweatshirt back on. Now he was cold again. Shiro carefully put his arm around Keith again, letting the lean into him. He couldn't take this away from him, but he could be here to make Keith feel better until this was over. "Let me know if you need anything else."

Keith just nodded, curled up pretty tight against Shiro's side for the moment. It didn't take long like that for him to doze off quietly. Sorry, Shiro, but he wasn't waking up easily from this one. The fever would be gone by morning, anyway, but, until then, Keith was just going to sleep through it.

Shiro wasn't going to say anything, just let Keith sleep against him. Eventually when he did need move, he carefully shifted Keith to the couch and wrapped him up a blanket so he'd be comfortable. He wouldn't leave Keith's side for long though, checking on him to make sure he was okay.

Keith moved a bit with Shiro, but didn't wake up. Instead, he shifted to get comfortable on the couch, pulling the offered blanket tightly around himself. Sorry, Floor 15, but you've got a couch surfer for tonight. Keith was there until morning.

Shiro also stayed near by to make sure no one disturbed Keith and let him sleep. If he truly was this sick, he needed to sleep. When Keith woke up in the morning, he'd find Shiro sleeping in a chair, in what was probably an awkward position to be asleep in.

Keith actually slept a bit later than usual, too, but he did eventually wake up. He stretched his arms over his head with a yawn, and carefully sat up, blinking at the morning light. He still felt a little off, but the fever had broken, and the nausea was gone. He rubbed his eyes, definitely feeling like he needed a shower.

That was when he noticed Shiro.

"Shiro...?"

Shiro had actually been asleep, for actually some length of time, even if it was in a strange position. One of the unfortunate things he'd learned was to sleep whenever he had the chance and was able to, even if it wasn't in the most comfortable position. The chair was at least better than other options.

But when he heard his name, he opened his eyes.

"Hey. How are you feeling?"

"I uh... better...?" Keith didn't sound entirely sure of that, but he looked better, at least. His color was back to normal. "I still feel kind of weird, but not as bad as last night." He was definitely still tired, though, and he curled back up into the corner of the couch. "Thanks for sticking it out with me."

As Keith sat up, shifting to sit in the corner of the couch, Shiro got up and came over to sit beside him while he spoke. Same as the day before, Shiro put his hand on Keith's forehead, checking to see if he felt feverish. He wasn't sure if Keith felt too hot or not, but that in of itself was an improvement. Last night, he had been sure Keith was sick.

"No problem. I'm glad you're feeling a bit better. Want to try getting something down? If you need it, you can take some more pain meds."

Keith didn't move as Shiro put his hand on his forehead, only shifting his gaze enough to see his friend's reaction. He didn't feel like he was still feverish, so that was probably a good sign. He just felt... worn out. His body had definitely reacted to something in that tea, and, whatever it was, he was feeling the after-effects.

He shook his head a little.

"I'm alright as far as the headache goes," he said. "That's actually faded out a lot." It was still there, but really faint, and not enough to warrant taking anything else at this point. It was more annoying than actually painful. "But, yeah... I think I should probably try to eat something. It might help get rid of the rest of the weird feeling."

Shiro would have been foolish to think that it was anything but the tea. The illness had hit so quickly after Keith had drunk it that the chances of it being natural was almost impossible. At least he didn't feel sick anymore that Shiro could tell.

"All right. Let me know if you need something else for the headache." Since Keith was implying that it was still there. "Let me get you some more water and some toast. That may help."

Nothing exciting but if Keith was still ill, something light would be easier to keep down. Also he hadn't eaten for a good number of hours, having basically passed out and slept the entire evening so he wasn't at his best anyway.

Shiro got up, picking up Keith's glass and getting him some more ice water first before going back and getting him a couple pieces of toast.
