[ Loki purrs, turning to face Steve with a grin. ]

Then I shall endeavor to be loud and vocal in my pleasure. Think you can manage that? I am not easy to break and each cry can be a victory mark.

[ Steve ducks his head almost guiltily, like he's already completely forgotten that he won't be recognized talking about his sexual fantasies in public. He steps away from the exhibition entrance and stands with Loki, responding quietly, almost secretively. ]

I'd like that.

Then it shall be done.

[ Pleased that Steve can voice that much at least, he turns to pick up some silk rope, running his fingers over it. ]

[ The promise is quiet and simple. Loki says it without any pause at all and Steve is a little jealous at the comfort the god portrays. He watches slender fingers hold the line of rope, heart speeding up a bit even though there's no danger or rush to really be had. ]

You like things like that? It doesn't look like it would hold you.

It can't. But as I said, it is a fantasy. Imagine it could hold me down, keep me there. At the mercy of being teased instead of me doing the teasing.

[ For Loki, it's easy to talk about his desire. He has no shame and his approach to such things is light-hearted and genuine. Societal structures can't define someone who has lived as long as he has. Pleasure is one of the simpler things he can manage without judgement or fuss. ]

Leave me aching until I beg for it, beg for you. I would not be able to do a thing without your express permission and command.

[ Steve tries to come up with a response of some kind, but he can't manage to think of anything that would help him escape the heat rising on his face and creeping down his neck. He opens his mouth, makes a short, stifled noise, and aborts the half-formed word, looking back at the table where Loki found the rope. He's never really fantasized about controlling anyone. The lovers he's been with have mostly been in control, and pushing that boundary was a bit too much like abusing his physical strength to even consider. Loki paints the picture for him as if it's easy, and Steve has to clear his throat to find his voice again. ]

That would definitely be a different angle. Haven't seen you do that before.

[ Loki watches the flush with unabashed delight, but he does not laugh at Steve. His eyes continue to twinkle as he sets the rope down for now and he moves to look at the ball gags. ]

For you, it can be a possibility.

[ Loki may not have shame, but that does not mean he's easy. He can be particular about who he likes and chooses and once he's chosen, he's more than willing to make things as smooth as possible. Steve's reticence is understandable and charming. Loki enjoys being the first to put such thoughts in his mind. ]

Or we could try it the other way around.

[ Steve goes still, caught by warring thoughts on how to react to that easy suggestion. Too smooth and relaxed, it sounds like teasing, but Steve can't shake off the warmth that creeps under his skin and slips all the way to his stomach as Loki offers him things that Steve wouldn't admit to having considered before. He swallows, partly just to prove to himself he still can, and clears his throat. ]

Is that your way of saying that you want to try those out?

[ His voice is soft, but his gaze is sharp, fixed on Loki with all of his attention. ]

I am saying I would do that with you.

[ The distinction there is important to Loki. He squeezes Steve's arm lightly, a considerate touch. ]

I am not playing games.

[ Loki hopes Steve will understand that. He did not bring Steve along to make fun or to mock. ]

[ The answer is surprisingly sweet for being so suggestive. The way Loki says it makes the suggestion more about Steve than about trying out sex toys, and he can't help but smile at the god when he says he isn't playing games. From Loki, that sincere gesture is affectionate rather than teasing. It gives him a warm feeling beneath the thrill. ]

What if I want you to?

[ Loki merely smiles, trailing a finger down Steve's cheek in appreciation. ]

Then I'm sure it can be arranged.

[ Steve looks over at Loki through half-lidded eyes, taking in the way Loki smiles and touches him with one teasing motion, innocent compared to what lies unspoken between them. He reaches across him, picking up one of the gags lying out on the table for examination. A half smile makes its way onto his lips. ]

Mm. I dunno. You might have to find something tougher than this. It looks like it might come loose.

[ Loki shrugs as he watches Steve hold up the gags with undisguised amusement. ]

It depends on how hard you fight. I can fashion something stronger. With gold thread against your skin.

[ It's clear by the way he looks them over that Steve is wondering how long any of these things would last if really tested. The slight raise of one eyebrow when he tugs at a leather strap says he doubts they could hold up that long, but he's visualizing a scene more work than play. He looks over his latest discovery at Loki, head tilted in question and a sarcastic comment locked behind his casual stance. ]

You're going to hold me down with some string? That really would be a trick.

[ The gag is set aside, forgotten, as Steve folds his arms and stands up straighter. He doesn't always show off his size -- there's no real need to -- but he's aware of his strength and occasionally does like to remind others that he knows how to use it. In disguise, it probably just looks silly. ]

Show me.

[ He blinks, surprised by Steve's request. He glances around them, noting the crowd before turning back to Steve with a bemused tilt to his lips. ]

Here? Or should I carry you back and ravish you in your room?

[ Steve watches Loki glance around. He's not expecting that question, and the smug expression on his face melts into surprise at the thought of Loki carrying him to his room. It's too ridiculous for Steve to take seriously, and he laughs softly, unable to take it all down. ]

They have places here, right? That's what this festival is all about?

[ Unsolicited, one of the vendors agrees, taking the exchange as a normal one had during the Carnivale activities. There are always places for people to go to indulge in the pleasures of the celebration. ]

[ Loki's eyes widen slightly before his smile unfurls, full of mirth. He had not expected Steve to take him up on his offer so soon. With a tug on his arm, Loki pulls Steve towards one of the private rooms. On the table lay an assortment of toys and tools to be used. Quality was . . . debatable. Loki pushes Steve onto the bed, his gaze predatory but assessing at the same time. ]

Do we need a word in case I overstep myself?

[ He'd only been half-serious when he responded. Interested, but not intending on doing anything about it. But when Loki pulls him along, Steve doesn't fight it. He lets Loki lead him to a private room, remaining slightly reserved because he's not sure what he's supposed to be doing yet, and raises an eyebrow at the display of toys on the table. For a moment, he does hesitate, but when Loki pushes him onto the bed, his eyes go back to meet the green gaze and he finds himself staring the god down almost instinctively. ]

Mm. Are you going to be playing rough?

[ And that question is actually honest, without any sarcasm or expectation in it. ]

[ His grin is sharp, even if its playfulness is clearly present. He weaves a little magic in the restraints, testing them with a tug. Finding them acceptable, he swings the rope in a frisky manner. Loki is excited about this, despite himself. It has been a while and Loki rarely bothers unless he can trust the person or they're on the same page.

This is not quite like that (trust is difficult even now, for Loki) but it is something new and Loki can taste the brightness on his tongue. ]

I might. Though that is not my intention today.

[ Steve watches Loki's playful show with interest, eyes on the rope as it swings and he considers what they are going to do. There is a little bit of trepidation and an awareness that things could go wrong, but Steve chooses not to indulge the doubts. Instead, he tilts his head and smiles with a relaxed calm. ]

Quinjet. I figure that probably won't come up.

[ There's a little challenge in his voice as he says that, putting on a show of being too comfortable on the bed. A part of him wants to taunt the god and push. After all, he can put up with a lot. ]

Give me your best.

[ A flash of bright teeth and Loki is on top of him like lightning, drawing Steve into a kiss as his hands grab Steve's, deftly looping the rope around his wrists and binding them quickly. He leans back with a satisfied smirk on his face, admiring his handiwork. ]

Try to break them.

[ He doesn't even attempt to fight the ropes being closed around his wrists, although as fast as Loki is, the way Steve deepens the kiss as he feels the cord on his skin shows he is well aware of his position. He could have fought if he wanted to. Instead he nips Loki's bottom lip as the god pulls back.

Looking at his wrists, Steve raises his eyebrow and then tightens his muscles. His neck and shoulders strain as he pulls his arms apart, putting a good amount of strength into breaking what should be simple ropes. And he's surprised when the loops don't tear against his pull. He's broken a lot tougher, and this trick is deserving of respect. ]

Huh. Well, it's stronger than the handcuffs they had. Good job.

[ Loki . . . well, it's hard to say he's beaming but his smile is far wider. He's still straddling Steve's waist, though he's not particularly heavy. With a luxuriant stretch, Loki bends to cover Steve, kissing him again deeply, his fingers curling around Steve's own, pressing them down. ]

Shall we play, Captain?

[ He almost laughs at the question delivered to him like he's being taunted. There's a familiar note in the way Loki purrs it out, not quite like he might offer a threat but in the same vein of implying more than he's actually asking. Steve eyes the god above him, then rolls his hips up, a sharp, short jerk of motion that's meant to rub the nerves conveniently positioned above his torso. ]

If you think you can keep up. A little magic thread isn't going to give you that much of an advantage. I hope that isn't your whole plan for me.

[ It is Loki's turn to chuckle, a low rich sound as he cups Steve's face. His hair falls over like a dark curtain, obscuring the rest of the view, save for his face. ]

It is not about the thread, it is about leaving yourself open.

[ Loki trails his finger down Steve's face, over his cheek and neck. Once he reaches the collar, he starts to pop the buttons open. ]

Vulnerable. Never knowing what may come next.
