It's normal in that they generally have celebrations, large festival type celebrations that its, about every month. One holiday or another to celebrate. Some louder than others.

And pay no attention to his leaning into Sam's touch still, because god damn but did that feel good.

"Seems like I do. Could just head off without any real stumbling around with the shift in stance and being on four feet instead of two for example. Most of it seems pretty easy to push aside, but seems like the whole package is there. Probably good for needing to really fake being a normal dog, I'd know just what to do instead of relying on questionable acting skills."

I would hardly dub these as literature. Though I will grant that they are enjoyably worded smut.

[Grinning, she shrugs.] As well as anyone else here.

Would you like company for your coronation and feast, Prince Thor? Or do you have attendants enough to keep you entertained?

[She has no where else to be, and Thor is easy company. Direct, open, and honest. Never once has she had to worry that he doesn't mean what he ways, that he'll say something and think something else entirely. It's something she's come to appreciate more and more as her handling of her powers grows.]

[It's a bad combination, Wanda can see that at once. Shaking her head she takes half a step away from the main crowds, over toward the wall of a bakery nearby. There, they're out of the way.]

If you're not good with crowds you're best off staying away from the downtown area during holidays. They're good about announcing where celebrations are held, but it's a bad time to try to learn a city layout if you don't like weaving through people.

[When Wanda had arrived it hadn't been quite so chaotic, not until the storm arrived anyway. But a storm is a very different thing from a festival or Carnivale. By Riverview standards even, Carnivale is pretty spectacular.]

I'm headed out of here myself. I can lead you somewhere quieter on the way if you want.

[Kate follows Wanda and moves so that her back is pressed gently against the bakery wall. Her back still feels weird, wrong almost, but she's trying to ignore it.]

I don't know if it's just the crowd. I'm new and I don't know my way around either. [It's everything.] Thanks. Maybe to the common housing? I have a room there.

How much warning were you given about the festival?

[Watching Alec and Magnus together feels like intruding on something he didn't realize he wanted until he'd met Clary. Now it seems like his father was right all along. Except he can't believe that it's true. Not for Magnus and Alec. Alec feels happier, more confident in ways he hadn't been free to be before. The kiss changed everything and he is happy Alec chose to jump instead of going through with the wedding.

The bachelor party Izzy made up just to get them in the same room together. The one Alec doesn't remember. He decides not to upset Alec again and follows his and Magnus's lead.]

Bachelor party is more a Mundane tradition. A party sounds nice. Something small with Izzy and Max. I could cook.

[Jace offers Magnus and Alec a easy smile, watching them now because how he feels doesn't matter. He will not say or do anything to hurt Alec. Not again. Love just isn't for him. And he's also decided as of right now that he's okay with that.]

[ Hana tries very, very hard not to put too much thought into the fact that she'd just fired a shot at a person nor into the way her palms feel sweaty and hands shaky or the way it feels like it's harder to breathe all of a sudden.

But she's actively avoiding all of that, so much to the point that she almost misses that twitch of movement and what would have come after it, only now— the woman who would have been the victim of this situation was now all the more threatening. She has to shake herself out of the surprise and take a deep breath before she zones back in. But seriously?

What the hell. ]

[ Hana was chewing dutifully on the sweet she had picked up as she listened to him. She could only assume that he must have been like her— one of the "displaced." He certainly didn't strike her as someone who's always lived here but it was a pleasant surprise to meet someone from an alternate reality who was also a pilot. She couldn't say that she'd been one "for quite a while," like he had, but she couldn't imagine herself being anything other than what she was now.

She leaned back in the bench a little, back against the alley wall, and drew one of her knees up to rest her chin on it as she looked at him. ]

What's it like, being a pilot in space? I've never been out to space before. Well— [ she chuckled. ] I have now, I guess.

[ Seeing as Quarantine was on a moon of an entirely different planet in an entirely different plane of reality, and all. ]

[ She gives a rather enthusiastic nod to his reaction. A part of her is thankful they assigned her to a position that, on a very basic level, isn't too different from what she's used to. Except that just about everything else about it, and about all of this, is so very different that she's honestly had some trouble wrapping her head around it. But all her answer shows is a young woman who's ready for duty. ]

Search & Rescue. Now c'mon, I need to get out of this heat!

[ She eases off of the car she had been standing on with a bit of a bunny hop, landing back onto the sidewalk beside Genji, whose very... cybernetic appearance is suddenly all the more intense and maybe even intimidating now that they're next to each other. And then without really thinking, she blurts out— ]

[THAT sort of answer actually makes him stare at the other from behind that cold, dark mask again. A quiet sort of stare that's unreadable due to him not being able to be seen--but also unreadable because that answer...]

That's even less of a reason for me to punish you, you realise.

[That stare just gets a lazy grin out of him - it's been a while since he's gotten a response out of Reaper that really makes him smile.]

You wanted me to get my shit together, right? So here's what I got - you're fucking beautiful and I'll do anything I need to to make you keep me around. If that means playing nice, I'll play nice - I already know how far I can push before you push back.

[The comfort is welcome, and it's only with an exercise in self-control that she doesn't let her expression slip to show something too real to the people around them. It's better, if not easier, to hold what she's feeling in rather than let it out.]

Sounds good. Breakfast is always better when someone else makes it anyway.

[Which is more or less a request from Bryn. She doesn't ask for much from people, not when she's used to just taking care of herself. Tonight is just one of those exceptions.]

Everything is better when Taako makes it.

[Talking about himself in third person is clearly super cool, but mostly his voice is gentle, just a confirmation that he's hearing what she isn't staying.]

We're sleeping in 'til like ten and having breakfast in bed, it's decided.

[Ten is Very Late for him, but there's nothing wrong with the occasional sleep-in]
