[ A Loki that fell to Earth is a Loki that still enjoying living. Earth gave him opportunities to step away from Thor's shadow and be his own person. True, he wasn't much of a prince or a god as he drifts among mere mortals without a blink of an eye, but it is preferable to the treatment of the Nine Realms. When he awoke, changed by the chalice, Loki was smart enough not to panic even as the doubts crept in. Instead, he devoted himself to the work. He weaved in and out of the Gramayre Institute, the Communal Housing and wanders around Riverview. His manner is polite if not a little distant. His clothes range towards more casual shirts and slacks, and his hair is much shorter.

You might also spot him sitting near the fountain, casting small illusions for the group of children nearby, of green dragons and golden heroes or at the market, eyeing their selection of jeweled daggers. ]

[ ii - can you feel the love tonight? ]

[ Loki can deflect magic and bullets with ease. His physical prowess is nothing to scoff at, despite his slighter frame. So when the repellent drifts over, Loki was certainly not prepared to fight the very air itself. By the time he realized what had happened, it was too late. He had inhaled it too sharply and felt his limbs loosen. The tension that's always hung over him like a heavy aura has all but dissipated and Loki is all twinkling smiles and calm demeanor. You might have bumped into him accidentally as he stands there and he turns, contrite. ]

[With a gesture of the staff, three nearby boulders and two fallen trees lift into the air, hovering gently a few feet above the ground.]

I'll get 'em moving when you're ready.

[He hooks the staff back on his arm, freeing up his hand to move the objects as if he's some sort of conductor.]

[ Magical light spills from his hand as he watches the formations move with an observant gaze. With a disdainful flick, they explode. His lip curls in satisfaction. ]

I suppose Asgard had the right idea with its battles and warmongering.

[Taako has them make a valiant effort at evading Loki's magic, but only for the sake of a challenge.]

It's not the only way to cut loose.

[ And sex, while never a particular interest to Loki, was out. He would not subject the lowest of creatures to his proclivities. ]

Not all of 'em are breakable. [Mostly, well, Clark, but he's not about to volunteer Clark as a sparring partner for a pissed off Loki.] But I mean, most people are pretty into sex. Or partying, there's gotta be something in the place that'll hit you. [He shrugs.] We could go hustle some dipshits and take their wallets, I dunno if you're into that kinda shit.

[ Loki hums quietly. ]

Sex is no longer an option. I have never tried a . . . hustle, I believe they are called.

[He immediately realizes that he sounded far too a) curious and b) disappointed so he's just going to very quickly move on.]

All that illusion magic and you've never fucked with someone for shits and giggles? C'mon, that's just a waste.

[ It's an arbitrary line, especially considering the extent of Loki's crimes. But Loki's self-loathing knows no bounds and a relationship isn't feasible when he knows deep down, his very touch can kill whoever he lays with. A monster. He glances at Taako, quizzically. ]

I lived in a golden palace. Messing with people is enjoyable, but robbing them served me no purpose.

Little bit on the dramatic side there, my fella. No one needs to know your life story if you just wanna get laid.

[Something tells him he might need a generous swig of that vodka for this, so he does that real quick.]

But that's fair, last night on our planet Lup and I just took some thugs shoes cause we didn't need their cash. It's about making your own fun.

[ Loki grimaces. He's never been that interested in casual encounters, though he has done plenty of experimentation. It no longer has the appeal it once did. ]

I spent most of my time with my brother and our ideas of fun did not coincide. He would lead and I would . . . know my place.

[spellslots]

[Something tells him the whole sex thing is better off left alone, for now.]

Okay, well, that sounds awful! [He says it very lightly, as if that will somehow make it a little easier to swallow.

Taako has decided he doesn't like the sound of Loki's brother, much, even if Bryn seems to like the guy.] Do you wanna go do some low key crime or do you wanna keep blowing shit up, cause cha boy's down for either?

[dothelokimotion]

[ It would be nice to summon up an illusion of Odin so that Loki could wring its neck. Or cry on it. He shakes his head, shooting Taako a faint smile. ]

I am all for crime. It would be interesting to see how you work.

[spellslots]

All of the good shit is two people, so you better know how to act.

[He has no doubt in Loki's abilities on this front, he's just being a shit.]

Real talk, though, can you teleport, or are we walking back to the city?

[He can only do his long range teleport once a day :( ]

[ With a flicker he vanishes, appearing at the gate of the city with a chuckle. ]

[Taako opens his mouth to say something, only to promptly shut it when Loki disappears.

Is that what it feels like when he does it to other people???

With a huff, he casts sending; Loki is about to get a message in his head.]

I'm out of spell slots to teleport! Don't be a dick!

[ He gets a low chuckle in reply with a tinge of confusion over what is a spell slot, people have that? lol ]

[Loki is officially The Worst, although secretly Taako is pleased that at least he seems to have lost some of the tension that this whole thing started with. Right now, though, he needs to focus on the problem at hand.

With a sigh, Taako takes one last swig of the vodka before setting it on the ground and transmuting the glass into sand, so that he's not like, littering. Then he casts polymorph, shifting himself to a giant wolf, picks up the umbra staff in his jaws, and starts running towards the city.

It's definitely not as speedy as teleportation, but on the plus side he can just find Loki by scent rather than casting another spell, so after a couple of minutes, wolf-shaped Taako lopes up towards Loki and growls at him, because Loki is a bitch.]

[ Huh. Loki raises an eyebrow, surveying the form with curiosity. He hasn't seen animal shapeshifting in a long time. ]

Not bad.

[spellslots]

[The downside to this is that he can't talk, while a wolf, though somehow he still manages to exude an aura of smugness at that very slight praise.

He pads closer under the guise of letting Loki take a better look, before dropping the umbra staff and making an attempt to lick Loki's face. Because revenge.]

[ Loki splutters, batting the wolf away, looking completely frazzled. ]

Do you mind.

[spellslots]

[Wolves can't laugh, but Taako wags his tail in a good impression of an amused dog, before deciding that there's only so far he can push this, and changes back.]

That's what you get, sweetheart.

[ Loki wipes some of the slobber off, still looking a little lost before he manages to school his expression. ]

[In a gesture of good will (and showing off) Taako casts prestidigitation to clean Loki off.]

You're the one who left me in the forest, I could've died.

[He doesn't sound worried.]

Nonsense. Who would risk trying to kill you?

He's delighted, there's probably even a skip in his step as he picks up the umbra staff and starts towards the closest seedy bar.]

There's a lot of monsters out there, some of them would be too stupid to know better, and I'm pretty fucking breakable.
