We are living our lives~
who: Yu & Open || Yu & Noctis
what: Open: Yu Moving out; A day on the Wall; || Yu and Noctis hunting for elemental magic || Catch-all post
when: March
where: Yu's new place; The Wall; Beyond the Wall
warnings: Will add as needed
(date & time: middle of March, morning/afternoon)
After adopting a cat, Yu had spent some time looking for a new place to move into. It wasn’t an abrupt decision- he had spent a lot of time thinking about this. Felix keeps shedding everywhere and he didn’t want to be a nuisance to other people with him. Especially since it was an open communal floor. Cats just take ownership of everything. Also, living closer to the Perimeter would be perfect.
He had spent an entire afternoon wandering around the Riverview, looking for a potential place to move in. Probably rent some small place since he lives by himself. Eventually, he finds a small, half-furnished house, snuggled in between two taller buildings. The grocery shop is near, as well as a laundromat.
On the day of moving in, the things got a little busy in front of the new home. Yu had to buy a low wooden table and comfortable zaisu chairs to go with it to the living room. In all that commotion, Felix, the orange kitten, had slipped past the entrance door and disappeared. And Yu noticed that after bringing in the box with Felix’s stuff.
“Felix?”
The cat didn’t come. In a slight panic, Yu ran onto the sidewalk, almost tripping on one of the patrolling bots, looking around frantically for the orange furball.
“Felix!”
(date & time: any)
Yu was familiar with the vicinity of the Wall. He did all the morning patrols close to it, knew every nook and cranny, every stone was familiar to him. And, usually, there wasn’t any trouble at all. If there were any enemies and creatures lurking around, Yu’s Personas were more than strong to dispatch them.
This morning was calm too. Yu had a brawl with a centipede earlier but that was over fairly soon- Izanagi only had a trouble hitting its slimy body with his sword. It just didn’t want to go through. In the end, Yu just struck it down with his thunder spell and went on his way.
But on his way back, he spots one other person near the gate to the city. Putting katana back into its sheaths, he quickly makes his way over. Are they injured? Lost? Or maybe someone they know is injured or lost? Better be safe than sorry.
“Hey. Are you alright?”

@ brotrips;
He didn’t know how long they were going to be out there. Just the thought of it sent chills down Yu’s back. But he had a new Persona with him now, born from the bond he established and he couldn’t help but feel a bit confident.
Katana slung over his shoulder and postbag over his chest with some basic supplies (some bandages, some healing potions, a bottle of water and ton of energy bars), Yu waited for Noctis by the gate. Hopefully, their little trip won’t have them stuck outside for long.

"Hey."
Turning around, he nods to his friend.
"He'll make it easier on us." The Chocobo looks at Yu with curiosity shining in its eyes. "He was a gift from somebody who left."

Yu didn't expect that they will have company on their little excursion. Not that it is a problem at all- the bird is gorgeous!
"Hey! The feathery friend of yours- he's beautiful!" That's an understatement of the century. He wants to pet him. Can he pet him? "A gift?" Who gives a bird away as a gift?Slowly, he approaches the bird, trying not to give it a scare and gently pets its wing. So soft!
"Does he have a name?"
no subject
"Don't be so worried he'll run, Chocobos are used for riding in my world so he's friendly." True to Noctis' word, their feathery friend nustles into Yu's hand, welcoming the affection. "Gladio didn't say he had a name, but I've been calling him Apela. He's started to respond to it, too."
It was the best gift ever.
no subject
"Apela huh? You have a cool name, new friend."
Yu wants to ask about the person that left and gave the Chocobo to Noct but- he feels as if he shouldn't intrude on that. To leave a present like this, they were probably very close.
"Well, if you guys are ready, we can set out."
no subject
A lot of land stretches out before them. If he wants to find the stones, if it's even possible, they shouldn't waste time.
"You should take the first ride." Since Noctis had ridden Apela here, and Yu has never been on a Chocobo. The prince hesitates to have them riding at the same time for worry that the weight of two relatively-grown men (or teenager, in Yu's case) would be a bit too much.

@ fatedcontract;
Considering he has no clue where the movies are and Makoto does, it was a good decision to meet up here instead of Yu just aimlessly wandering around trying to find the place.
With the bag slung over his shoulder and in his light grey jacket, Yu was maybe too excited about this.
I'M SORRY I SUCK
Makoto stuffed his wallet into his pocket just as he left, evoker carefully tucked inside his jacket. He didn't expect to need it for anything but he preferred the safety of its presence. And, between the two of them, they could keep an eye on each other.
He knew he shouldn't worry about that though and tried shoving it all aside as he made his way to the Perimeter Center. And gave a wave as he spotted a familiar head of hair, smiling.
I suck too
But now, this was a great chance and Yu will not let it slip away from him.
"Hey! Good to see you!"
noooo, you are perfect <3
They had this at least!
"Good to see you too." He moved to Yu's side and placed a hand on one shoulder for a moment, friendly, and grinned. "Are we being good today or should we smuggle in sweets or something?"
Really, he could see Yu not wanting to but his reaction? Makoto wanted to see it either way.
no subject
Yu laughs happily and points at his back: "I brought the sweets that don't make any noise while you eat them. You don't mind marshmallows, right?"
Is that the reaction you wanted Makoto? He's not as straight-laced as people thought of him. He even skipped classes!
no subject
"Marshmallows?" He broke out in a grin. "Genius! I love them. Best when s'mored but still good no matter what." Something to possibly keep in mind for the summer. However summer worked here.
It was close enough though.

1, as good an excuse as any!
Even with her focus on exploring, however, there was no missing the plaintive mewl that caught her attention. Too young to really sound like Morgana, but perhaps there was a little of that sadness prompting her to look all the same.
Once she found the source of the noise she moved to crouch down, hoping to get a close enough look to see if there was anything that might indicate where the kitten came from. "Hey, little guy. Where did you come from?"
o/ sorry for the wait
How could he be so careless and leave the door open?
When he made sure the kitten wasn't in the vicinity, he could feel his heart fall through the ground. Did something run him over? The bots went crazy at one point, it could've been easy for them.
In his dazed state where he raked his brain where his kitten could be, he almost missed when someone called out to a 'little' guy. And it came from around the corner. Rushing over, Yu took a huge breath of relief when he spotted a girl talking to his cat.
"Thank goodness..."
no worries!
But then the kitten bolted anyway and Makoto was all set to give chase right up until she noticed the grey-haired boy that the kitten was making a bee-line for. She wasn't used to things resolving themselves so quickly but she certainly wasn't going to protest.
She moved close enough to address the kitten's apparent owner, smiling softly as she watched the kitten rub against him. "I suppose I don't really need to ask if he's yours."
no subject
"Yes, he is. Thank you so much," Yu chuckles sheepishly. "You distracted him from running out on the street.
no subject
Still, with the kitten still so small she had to wonder, even as she was aware that this might not be a polite question to ask a complete stranger. "I take it you don't live too far from here? Doesn't seem like he would have gotten too far from home before getting overwhelmed."
no subject
"Ah yes, I just moved in nearby. I have been bringing in the furniture when the devil slipped past me and just disappeared." It's as if he was waiting for the opportunity to do so.

He was taking it slow so that he could look around as he approached. He decided that it wouldn't help to hurt look. He knew that if one of his cats had gotten out, he'd appreciate any help that he was offered when looking for them, simply because he'd be devastated if he couldn't find them.
"Want some help?" he asked. His tone was serious. He meant that he'd help looking until found. Otabek never went halfway when he did things, after all.
no subject
"Can you? Please?" It's been a while since Yu was beside himself from fear.
"He's small and orange and has different colored eyes. I just moved here today and-" and he's panicking and rambling and holding back from just dashing down the street.
no subject
He was even keen to give him the unique features - like different colored eyes - that would help him be sure that it truly was Felix and not a random small, orange cat.
"I have a feeling. This way," he pointed down the street where he was looking.
Otabek opted to walk down the street, opting to walk instead of run. He knew kittens could move, but he also knew if he were to sneak up on him running, that would probably make the kitten take off running again. He didn't want to scare him.
no subject
Yu looks over down the street and nods. While his entire being wants to dash around in search for him, he follows the other guy's plan because it is strictly better than his.
"...I hope nothing ran into him..." Yu mumbles as he peers over one of the fences.
no subject
Otabek glances towards the fence. "Hopefully not. But he'll probably come if we all him and he slipped out."
He looks forward. "Felix."
no subject
But when the guy approached one of the fences and called for Felix, the orange kitten just jumped out from the bushes, in the completely playful mood, "chasing" some pebble on the street.
"Ah! That's him."
