1} Troubles moving in:

After adopting a cat, Yu had spent some time looking for a new place to move into. It wasn’t an abrupt decision- he had spent a lot of time thinking about this. Felix keeps shedding everywhere and he didn’t want to be a nuisance to other people with him. Especially since it was an open communal floor. Cats just take ownership of everything. Also, living closer to the Perimeter would be perfect.

He had spent an entire afternoon wandering around the Riverview, looking for a potential place to move in. Probably rent some small place since he lives by himself. Eventually, he finds a small, half-furnished house, snuggled in between two taller buildings. The grocery shop is near, as well as a laundromat.

On the day of moving in, the things got a little busy in front of the new home. Yu had to buy a low wooden table and comfortable zaisu chairs to go with it to the living room. In all that commotion, Felix, the orange kitten, had slipped past the entrance door and disappeared. And Yu noticed that after bringing in the box with Felix’s stuff.

“Felix?”

The cat didn’t come. In a slight panic, Yu ran onto the sidewalk, almost tripping on one of the patrolling bots, looking around frantically for the orange furball.

“Felix!”

2} On the Guard:

Yu was familiar with the vicinity of the Wall. He did all the morning patrols close to it, knew every nook and cranny, every stone was familiar to him. And, usually, there wasn’t any trouble at all. If there were any enemies and creatures lurking around, Yu’s Personas were more than strong to dispatch them.

This morning was calm too. Yu had a brawl with a centipede earlier but that was over fairly soon- Izanagi only had a trouble hitting its slimy body with his sword. It just didn’t want to go through. In the end, Yu just struck it down with his thunder spell and went on his way.

But on his way back, he spots one other person near the gate to the city. Putting katana back into its sheaths, he quickly makes his way over. Are they injured? Lost? Or maybe someone they know is injured or lost? Better be safe than sorry.

“Hey. Are you alright?”

Yu felt bad whenever he dragged other people into his problems. This was definitively his fault- he shouldn't have left the door open when he knew how playful Felix is during the day. But he's too freaked out about it to think through it because Felix is a kitten and they are fast. Who knows where he could've zoomed off in a matter of ten seconds.

"Can you? Please?" It's been a while since Yu was beside himself from fear.

"He's small and orange and has different colored eyes. I just moved here today and-" and he's panicking and rambling and holding back from just dashing down the street.

Otabek didn't mind. While a year ago he would have stayed out of anything that wasn't his problem, he certainly didn't mind now. Maybe it was because it involved someone and their cat. He could consider this an exception. Otabek's eyes shift away, down the street. "I can." He'd remember exactly what Yu told him about the way his cat looked.

He was even keen to give him the unique features - like different colored eyes - that would help him be sure that it truly was Felix and not a random small, orange cat.

"I have a feeling. This way," he pointed down the street where he was looking.

Otabek opted to walk down the street, opting to walk instead of run. He knew kittens could move, but he also knew if he were to sneak up on him running, that would probably make the kitten take off running again. He didn't want to scare him.

Well, Yu is not sure that there are other orange cats- big or small- in this neighborhood, but he knows that the more information there is, the better chances are for them to find him.

Yu looks over down the street and nods. While his entire being wants to dash around in search for him, he follows the other guy's plan because it is strictly better than his.

"...I hope nothing ran into him..." Yu mumbles as he peers over one of the fences.

Otabek keeps an easy pace, but he's sure to start at the ground, and search up higher in places where a kitten could easily climb, like trees and onto places on buildings. This helps him make sure to check everything he could. Of course there were always small spaces. So, that's why he's calling out "Felix." He hopes the kitten responds to his name.

Otabek glances towards the fence. "Hopefully not. But he'll probably come if we all him and he slipped out."

He looks forward. "Felix."

Yu calls as well, calling the cat's name and walking slowly. They have been looking for him for good ten minutes now and Yu is on the brink of giving up, feeling really down.

But when the guy approached one of the fences and called for Felix, the orange kitten just jumped out from the bushes, in the completely playful mood, "chasing" some pebble on the street.

"Ah! That's him."

"Oh!" Otabek looked down at the cat, and he knelt down towards him. It figures that this happened. Kittens were like this in his experience. Always causing trouble. He smiles, just a little, watching the small orange boy move about.

"He looks okay." He reached out his hand, offering nothing more than that to let the kitten sniff him and then gentle pets on his head. "Good job staying safe, Felix." When he feels the kitten isn't going to bolt when he goes for it, he grabs him and picks him up, to offer him to Yu.

"I live with several cats. I've figured out some of their favorite hiding places."

The cat, slowly and cautiously, walks over towards Otabek's hand, giving it a sniff and few pats with a paw. Because you're playing with him, right?

"Thank heavens," Yu says, standing close to the guy and watching his cat play around. He doesn't want to make any sudden moves because Felix might bolt. He's overexcited after all, he might think Yu is chasing him away or something.

"You do? No wonder Felix likes you," Yu smiles, watching his cat push his head against Otabek's hand.

"Six," Otabek answered. He did seem to attract cats, though nothing like Yuri did, in his opinion. He figures it is because he is calm around them. There's no quick or sudden movements. He takes it easy so he knows the kitten is comfortable before he even takes to petting him.

"You like to play, huh, little guy?" Otabek says. Of course he does, he's small. "If only I had a toy for you to play with. Good thing we found you before you got where it's dangerous."

It'd be awful if something happened to someone's pet.

"Six!? That's amazing!" Yu's eyes lit up at that, making him grin from ear to ear. Six cats! That's amazing! Cats usually don't run away from Yu, but they do tend to get really playful. And request food. A ton of it. He fed a cat next to a riverbank ten times in a row. Spoiled, beautiful felines.

Yu grins, watching Felix play around with guy's hand, sniffing it and playfully gnawing at it.

"Yeah, we got lucky. Thank you for helping me out." He was really panicked. "I'm Yu Narukami."

"My cat came with kittens." He was okay with the circumstances, though. He really loved them. They were sweet, good creatures - typically. And other times they were trouble. That's why he liked them. He's okay just sitting here playing with the cat. Okay with the momentary interruption.

"No problem. I'm Otabek Altin." He gently lifts a hand up to pet Felix gently on the head. Taking it slow.

Otabek might be taking it slowly but Felix isn't. He's all over that hand, looking for more attention and just generally playing with him. It makes Yu grin from ear to ear.

"Kittens are the cutest, aren't they?" Yu makes sure not to get the attention from Felix who looked preoccupied. "How old are yours? Do you have any pictures of them?" Cat fanatic always wants to see cat pictures.

Otabek seems fine with this. Then, he looks up towards Yu. Especially once his cats are asked about. Otabek's always eager to talk about the cats Yuri and himself are raising. "They turn one in in July." They were getting so big. It was like watching a child grow up. Well, by all technicalities, they were his children.

He scooped up Felix with one arm, so he could give him attention while still going through his phone.

He pulls up the oldest picture of Tazagul. "This is Tazagul. Or Taza." It's a picture of a calico cat, nice and fat cuddled up on his bed. "When she was still pregnant." He starts to go through them. After a few pictures of Taza, there's six little balls of fur - kittens. He moves until they start to look like they have separate personalities and have opened their eyes.

"These two were adopted." He shows two fluff balls that look similar to their mother.

He gets a recent picture of another. He's a mostly black cat with sharp eyes and looks like he's about to start trouble. "Atlas. He was a friend's for awhile before she left. He's one of Taza's babies, too."

The next, is a picture of a black and white cat, with a random small spot of orange, an all white cat with one black spot, and a solid black cat, as well. "This is Rostam. Inzhu. And Aiman."

The last cat he shows Yu is Yuri's. It's a picture of Potya cuddled up next to Yuri, both looking quite content. "This is Potya."

He felt like he talked Yu's ears off about his cats. He was always excited to talk about them, though.
