[ The options for who might have given her the snowglobe are very few, and once Sif has received her gifts from both Thor and Val, proving neither of them to be the giver... well, only one person really remains.

So she seeks him out, because this is making very little sense to her. ]

[ Loki is outside the ice maze, tending to its walls. At the very least, he is not blue when he turns around to greet Sif with a raised eyebrow. ]

Is something the matter?

[ It wouldn't matter much if he were, Loki is Loki no matter what he looks like and so the complications remain the same. ]

The snowglobe. Was it you?

[ He frowns lightly. Is he going to get stabbed over a gift? ]

It was. What of it?

[ Well, the temptation is always sort of there, but he will probably get out of this encounter unscathed even if Sif is currently glaring daggers at him. ]

Why?

[It's Christmas? Who knew? Certainly not Damian, for while normal kids tend to get excited for Santa and presents, without Pennyworth here to force the Christmas spirit or the Wayne gala looming over his head, Damian has all but forgotten about Christmas. It's fine. The Holidays were always such an inconvenience for him anyway.

Instead, Damian is treating this like every morning, starting with a 4 am work out that Jon is invited to. Rise and shine super friend! He kicks Jon's bedroom door open.]

I told you we start at 4am, Jon! You had better be putting your jogging shoes on because training begins now!

[He shouts and walks towards the bed, ready to drag your lazy super bum out of it. Kryptonians don't even need sleep! Get up, Jon!]

[supersweet]

[ Why are you like this? Jon groans, covering his head with his pillow. It's Christmas and he's been hyperaware of that fact and trying not to mope about it. It's harder than it looks, but he seemed to be managing until now. ]

It's Christmas day, Damian! Give me a break.

[sonofab]

[But Jon, you have received the greatest gift so close to the yuletide. Damian Wayne's mere presence within your home. How could you ever find the time to mope? If you have found it, then obviously he has not been training you hard enough. Worry not, this mistake will be rectified.]

Excuses-- Oh, Christmas...? [Todd invited them to a party for that and that terrible Die hard movie last night... you mean that wasn't Christmas?] Tt, you mean it hasn't passed yet?

[He pauses for a moment to think over Jon's request for a break. Nope, still not good enough!] Get up! It's Christmas morning and you need to train! [He starts to tug on Jon's pillow.]

[supersweet]

[ Jon throws the pillow in Damian's face. ]

I'm not training on Christmas! C'mon, Damian. Even you know that.

[sonofab]

[Damian just barely manages to duck that one, then pops up again in Jon's face.] We are on another planet, Jon, the usual laws of Christmas don't apply.

Besides, what else is there to do? [Not like he had time to get a gift or anything this year since he just arrived a few days ago. Tugging at Kent's blankets now, still not ready to call quits.]

STEVE

[dothelokimotion]

[ Since the departure of his sister, Loki has taken to lingering in Steve's room. He even brings a few of his things like his comb and a few other necessities. Steve doesn't seem to mind Loki's constant presence around which Loki is grateful for. Crashing at Thor's would be uncomfortable, especially since Thor has finally moved in with Bryn.

It feels awkward, trying to find a space for yourself and feeling alone when you want others around it. Still, Loki feels at his best when he's around Steve. When he arrives, Loki immediately goes to Steve, curling his arms around the man's waist with a quiet purr. ]

[ Having Loki around is soothing for Steve, who is still trying to get used to settling in Riverview. He's happy to see him, and when Loki comes to visit, Steve smiles and wraps his arms around him, pulling him close. They haven't talked about sharing space yet, but Steve thinks that this is better for both of them. ]

Have you eaten yet?

[ Because he's always going to ask that. It seems wrong not to now. ]

Are you okay, Loki?

[ The only reason Loki hasn't put forward that suggestion is that he's still mindful of Steve's reputation. Loki doesn't want to ruin their perception of Steve. He imagines it would be the same if he stayed with Thor. He can't afford to do that to either of them. Loki hums softly, running his hands down Steve's sides. ]

I am well. It is merely a little quiet at home without Angela.

[ Steve stops to look at Loki, like he's double checking to see if his words match his eyes. Just a little quiet means a lot more than the words mean on their own, and he frowns slightly, with a hand on either of Loki's arms as he looks him over. ]

You can stay as long as you like. We can go out. If you want to.

[ Loki considers it. Time away from Riverview, or at least the people sounds tempting. He feels he is changing too fast. There are too many people in his periphery, people he actually cares for. People that he feels comfortable with, almost even safe. It was strange and beautiful, as they say and Loki is still finding his footing. Instead he presses a kiss to Steve's lips. ]

I rather be with you.

[Ava disappears from the city more or less completely for five days, probably missed one of her training sessions, and for a while after she doesn't even go by the house. So it takes a while before she gets her gift, and relatedly, until she turns up to find Loki.

She's wearing them when she does, skittish, but in a strange way she feels a little bit safer here than she does in most places. She still doesn't let her guard down, but she's a little less tense.

It's also easier to let herself be angry that Loki of all people didn't even leave his name, than it is to be all steel and worry.]

Loki?

[ He straightens unconsciously at the sound of his name before he notices who it is. ]

Ava. What brings you here?

[Christmas is one of the first days Thor spends in his new home, but it's also a day he's spent out and about more than most. After his rude/generous awakening from Tony and a debriefing, he's ready to commence gift giving. He starts with Bryn, of course, then Tony and then Loki is the obvious progression for him.

Thor is severely tempted to tamper with the settings of his eye and surprise Loki, but he's mature and he knows better than to mess around with something he doesn't fully have the hang of yet.

Which is why he detects Loki's movements with his heat seeking vision and calls through his apartment door.]

How many cups of coffee are you going to have?

[ Loki stops abruptly, caught by surprise. Thor shouldn't have the ability to see him through doors. He wavers before opening the door, dangling his gift in a small bag. ]

One.

What fool thing have you done now?

[Thor's gift doesn't fit in a bag, because it's a god damn tree. He's just brought it in a nice pot, with a very nice, red ribbon wrapped around it.

He blinks, owlishly, as if he has no possible idea what Loki could be referring to.]

I got you a present, obviously. [What else could he be referring to?]

No, not — [ He frowns, looking Thor over. ]

What is that on your face?

Natasha has spent a stupidly long amount of time staring at the little action figure. The paint isn't restricted to where it should actually be, but the level of care that has gone into this is touching none the less. She doesn't have much in the way of decoration in her apartment, but the figure goes on a shelf with nothing else around it, a shelf that she can easily see from her table, couch, or bed when the curtain isn't drawn.

She misses Christmas on the farm so much it's a physical ache in her chest.

Which is probably a big part of the reason that she turns up on Jon's stoop instead of just sending his gift. She'll rationalize it to herself as a cost issue. Having something this heavy brought over through a service would no doubt be very expensive. A ten gallon bucket full of legos is not exactly easy to transport. Natasha, for example, has wheeled it across half the city on a skateboard. Cause that makes total sense.

[ Damian leaves for a while after he stopped burning down Jon's kitchen. At the most, he tidies the place up a bit, checks on their mismanaged tree with haphazard decorations thrown on there and watches movies with Annie curled up at his feet. It doesn't feel the same as his usual Christmases, but it's a start and he doesn't feel too bad about the change.

Or at least he's trying to. When he hears a knock on the door, Jon pads over in his pajamas. Because it's Christmas. He opens the door and beams when he sees who it is. ]

Miss Natasha! Merry Christmas.

Natasha is more or less eye level with Jon, sitting on the massive bucket of legos, her feet resting on the skateboard in front of her and her elbows resting on her knees. She smiles to see his reaction, because his happiness is always infectious. "Merry Christmas." Adorable young child still in their pajamas. Yup. This is Christmas. She already feels a tiny bit better. Also somehow over-dressed and under-dressed at the same time.

Whatever this place really is, whatever the flaws and whatever her personal punishments, it's not all bad. This is a bright spot. "Do me a favour, huh?" She stands up, rocking herself slightly to the side so the board rolls her out of the way. "If you're too old for these, don't tell me until after New Year's." She knows that it would go over well with Cooper and Lila, but they're hardly normal children. Of course, Jon isn't normal, either. That's probably part of the reason this feels so comfortable.

[ Jon beams, super pleased that he's getting something and he likes Legos. Still his eyes bulge at how large the bucket was. Not that Jon has any problem carrying it as he picks it up and brings it into the house, expecting her to follow after him. ]

We don't have any food right now. At least nothing good. Damian almost burned down the kitchen trying to make pie.
