Lucretia: A small book on portal magic written by Loki himself.
Lup: A small mason jar with an everlasting flame that changes with her mood.
Alex: A card with an enchanted cat drawn on it

All of Jon's CR gets a custom-made action figure of themselves (badly painted) and a stocking full of candy canes

I was considering a pet since Angela has left.

[ And Loki, who prefers his solitude, finds it very unnerving to come back to a quiet apartment. No sound of Angela sharpening her swords, leaning over the counter while Loki makes breakfast . . . he swallows tightly, putting it aside. He blinks quizzically, touching his own hair subconsciously. ]

My hair?

[worldsaway]

A tree can be a pet. [Thor answers, almost defensively, as if he needs to protect the honor of his present.

He might be avoiding the sad elephant in the room, even if Loki has brought it up.]

I had one in my hair for you, for a little while. [And then he figured out Loki was alive.]

And it is the time of year for tradition. [A beat.] Apparently.

[dothelokimotion]

Of course, Thor.

[ It's an unusual tradition. But not an unwelcome one. Loki rarely let other people touch his hair, while he used to do Thor's long ago. Finally he nods. ]

All right. Try not to pull my hair.

[worldsaway]

Well now that you've told me not to, it's all I want to do. [Thor points out, moving to sit on the couch. He pats the space next to him for Loki and he sets about separating a lock of his hair.

He's not as deft or gentle as some people are, but he's dexterous enough. He knows what he's doing, that much is obvious.]

So, a pet? What sort of pet? Do you know people have dragons here?

I know. I met and did a little study on them briefly. But I doubt a dragon is the best pet to have indoors.

[ He closes his eyes, lulled by Thor's fingers in his hair. ]

Perhaps something small. A snake or a lizard.

[worldsaway]

Maybe you should move out, get a bigger place with a yard. For the dragon.

[Thor won't let it go.

Occasionally, he tugs a little too hard, but his braid is going to be tightly wound.]

You know how I feel about snakes.

[dothelokimotion]

[ Loki rolls his eyes. ]

You're practically transparent. But I'm not getting a dragon. What if we leave this place? Who will care for it? It's irresponsible and I rather not leave fractures in my wake.

[worldsaway]

Oh, and a snake is disposable then? [Thor gives Loki's braid a little tug.]

We're going to leave imprints on this place, no matter how careful we are. It's not like I'm going to bring a goat back home with me. [He pauses.] Unless I'm planning on eating it.

[dothelokimotion]

Well, I don't want to.

[ His tone is petulant and Loki frowns at himself when he catches that, annoyed at his slip. ]

Being here just — It's hard to tell if we can move forward when everything here stays the same.

[worldsaway]

Easy now, it hasn't even been a year. That's like peanuts to us. [Thor shrugs.]

I suppose it's true. Not a lot changes, there are a lot of parties and then in between the parties there's bugs or lizards or mind-altering events. But you know what does change? People.

[dothelokimotion]

[ Loki still looks skeptical. ]

Isn't that worse?

[worldsaway]

Not necessarily. Sometimes people change for the better. [Thor shrugs.] Sometimes they get bored and start smashing things. It's hard to say what the future holds here.

[dothelokimotion]

It feels so uncertain.

[ But that's the point, isn't it? Loki's doubts were no longer real fears, real threats looming over him. ]

I suppose it will take some getting used to.
