[Black was getting competitive too, tail twitching as he watched the race on the screen. It was going to be close!

Well, let's see if Keith could continue with the race when they suddenly had another observer. Another figure had just walked in and stood within easy eyesight. Black even spotted it, turning his attention to figure, perking up.

And Shiro saw it too, but was fairly used to it being there now]

Hello, Ulaz.

[Yup. That got Keith's attention. It wasn't really surprising that he would come when they were together, considering both of them had interactions with Ulaz. But, the whole ghosts thing was definitely weird.

In the game, Keith's car sort of slid off the track and crashed into the wall.]

What the quiznak?

[Red stared, agitated, but silent.]

[Oop. Keith just crashed and Shiro was still going. He didn't seem too phased by the fact that Ulaz had just walked in]

Ulaz has been showing up for him for over a week.

[Surprise... Yes, Black was alert, but didn't seem upset by Ulaz there]

Because of the... ghost thing... yeah?

[He watched as the specter kept going and eventually left the room, juuuuuust in case.

Once Ulaz was gone, Keith glanced back at the screen, and noticed he'd fallen pretty far behind. He started up again, hoping to catch up before the end of the race, but the odds were against him.]

Yeah, the ghost thing. He seems to have been following me.

[Well, Ulaz didn't seem to hang around, at least for the moment. Shiro had only barely been distracted by the ghost so he was definitely in the lead now]

[Keith did his best to catch up, and he got close, but Shiro ended up winning.]

Oh, man... stupid ghost stuff.

[He grumped a little, and Red growled softly in response. Keith turned to put his hand on her nose for a moment. No worries, Red. He was fine. It was just a game.]

Yeah really.

[He looked over at Keith. He seemed to be doing better. More confident in the way he was moving. He still looked like he hadn't slept in days, which he probably hadn't]

Another?

[Keith glanced back at him and blinked. Well, that was a good sign, at least. He nodded.]

Sure. Best two out of three?

[He smirked.]

Sounds good. Should I pick the course for this one? Or did you want to?

[Yep, it was definitely a good sign. Also Black has left the couch area and wandered over to where Ulaz disappeared through the wall. When nothing seems to come back out, Black steps away then sits down, like he was daring the ghost to show itself again]

[Offering to pick? Definitely a good sign. Keith smirked.]

You pick.

[He was just going to ignore the fact that the ghost of someone who had saved all their lives (Shiro's twice, even) and sacrificed himself for it had walked past them in their living room.]

[Yeah, probably best they ignore there was a ghost in their house. ~~They can't even go a foreign dimension without being haunted by the Galra~~.

Shiro started flipping through the levels and finally found one that looked interesting]

How about this one?

[Keith shrugged, giving Shiro a small smile.]

It's your pick.

[Go for it.]

Then we'll do this one.

[There! Decision made! Shiro pressed the start button so they could start picking their vehicles]

[Keith nodded, and then started working on his car. It was a twistier track than the last one, so he toned it down on the speed points, and put some of them towards maneuverability this time.]

[Shiro also worked to balance his car out more. While he left more speed, he also took other steps to help it on the course, like maneuverability and weight, since both would help it stay on the winder course. Picking a slightly heavier car also meant he could leave the speed higher because it would need it]

[Once he was all set, Keith settled in and waited for the race to start.]

You're in for it this time.

We'll see about that.

[Shiro waits patiently for the race to start and then he hit the button make his car go]

Is that a challenge?

[Keith did the same, hitting the accelerator button as soon as he could. He definitely had more control this time. And, while it was super fast off the starting line, he could get it moving pretty well in the straightaways. He smirked, chewing on his lower lip in concentration.]

Of course it is.

[Shiro could definitely get some speed on the straightaways, but it was the curves that he was hoping that he had the advantage on. If Keith's car had trouble on the turns, this would work out for him because of the number of turns]

[That got a bigger smirk from Keith and- surprise, Shiro! Keith learned from the last one! His car could handle turns! He still had a bit more points in the speed category than the handling category, but he wasn't crashing into walls!]

Ah ha! You're learning. You've realized you can't just use the speed.

[Shiro was actually pleased to see that even if it meant that he was effectively losing to Keith now. His own car handled the turns well, but he'd taken maybe too much of the speed for the stability so he wasn't quite keeping up with Keith this time]

Uh, yeah.

[Keith sounded mildly insulted.]

You say that like it's a big deal for me to do that.

[He smirked, though. He wasn't really insulted.]

[Sorry, Shiro's a brat sometimes. Besides he is the leader of the team]

It's not like its a bad thing, but crashing into things is not how to win the race.

[He's definitely feeling better now]

I didn't crash into that many things!

[Okay, Keith... no. Really. You did.]

Really? You didn't?

[Oh yeah... you did. But he's doing better now]
