who: Lucifer and whomever
what: Setting up the bar, continuing to lease out floors, subtly moving Chloe's stuff over.
when: 11-16 August
where: Lux, the building, possibly all over town
warnings: Likely eventual smut in thread w/Chloe. Possible language in other threads. Will update if needed.
Getting the bar set up without Mazikeen there to do most of the heavy lifting for him, or barking at people to do the heavy lifting, was a new experience in itself. He hadn't realized how much he'd relied on her to do so much for him. The day to day things. The contracts. The bills. Even the hiring of staff had been left in her capable hands. Lucifer didn't have much of an inkling of what constituted as 'good' in terms of staff for his place other than 'wanted to be there and was legally allowed to be'. Finding out just how low the drinking age was in Quarantine was a bit of a surprise and he had to mandate that there'd be an age restriction on the club itself. Why? Because he was pro-sex, pro-drugs, and anti-child. Having fourteen year olds dancing around would just kill the mood for him, so Lux would have an 19+ age limit on who'd be allowed in as far as patronage.
He was also still leasing out the other floors that hadn't been rented, so far two taken up by one Stephen Strange and some pack of hooligans with odd markings all over them who he'd been told may not take too kindly to Satan being their landlord. Well, that was their problem, wasn't it?
In an attempt to fill the other floors, before Lux opened for good, he'd be hosting 'come meet your potential landlord' parties; hosting lunches and little shindigs to help get the new staff used to what he expected and to give the potential tenants an idea of what the building would be like when the bar was in swing. Lucifer was all about transparency.
He could also be found in town, looking at furniture and possibly trying to find places to recruit staff and tenants. Or possibly in Lux itself just idly playing with his piano, pleased to have it back and to be able to play as he liked.
[Please feel free to PM regarding any potential cr ideas if nothing here suits your interest. Lucifer can likely be found in a variety of places and I'm happy to have him be more accessible if needed.]

Well, I want you to.

That's a pretty big step, you know. Moving in together.

[All his talk about wanting her here and finding it so natural has her tilting her head, hair falling across her face like a curtain. Trying not to smile too broadly.]
Okay. I'll move in with you. Officially, anyhow.

[He leaned over and nudged her shoulder with his.]
Maybe you secretly didn't mind it?
no subject
[A pointed look.]

[She reaches a hand out, intending to gently grip his chin so she could hold his gaze with her own.]
But we're partners. And I want to be kept in the loop.
no subject
I honestly didn't think I was doing anything you minded or that needed confirmation. I apologize if you would have preferred otherwise.
no subject
[Being specifically told he would like her to move in as he just did now changed that, of course. She liked knowing exactly where they stood.]

I know that now. And I know it seems obvious to you. But sometimes it helps to hear you actually say it.
no subject
[He hadn't thought about it that way, and it showed in the surprise on his face. Then he smiled, looking down at her with a waggle of his brows.]
Would you like to hear all the obvious things I have in mind?
no subject
[She trailed off, eyes resting on his lips for a moment before rising to meet his gaze again.]
no subject
[One quirk of his brow, his own eyes traveling down her body before coming back up. He loved her lips, her face, her eyes. They were all so expressive.]
no subject
[A quirk of a brow right back at him, followed by her sliding off the bench again to stand. She slugs the bag back over her shoulder and tilts her head in the direction of the stairs leading up to the elevator.]
Well, I do need to finish moving in anyhow.
no subject
[He moved to join her, bending and scooping her up in a quick motion before heading to carry her over towards the stairs that led to the elevator.]
I get to carry you in.
no subject
[A surprised squawk of his name left her without her meaning to as he scooped her up, one arm practically flying to wrap around his neck for support while the other gripped uselessly at her bag. And yet he seemed so pleased with himself, which may have contributed to her not resisting to this sudden change in position.]
Carrying someone is generally part of a different human tradition, you know.
no subject
[He went up the stairs easily enough, nodding at her to press the call button for the elevator as his hands were clearly full.]
The specifics of it never really matter.
no subject
[She rolled her eyes good-naturedly at him before she pressed the call button, watching the display light up to alert them that it was coming down.]
I think you just like to have the excuse to carry me around.
