I'm comfortable. [What did they say about protesting too hard? He'd read it in a book somewhere and normally he had near perfect memory for details, especially lines from books, but at the moment his brain felt a bit too mushy. Hormones were usually fun.

He caught Alec's hand.

He didn't really want to go. He also didn't want Alec and Magnus to know he was turned on by the exhibition. And not the one going on around them.

Fighting back a small humorless smile, Jace was sure of one thing. He didn't want to leave and let Alec think he had a problem with him or with Magnus. Or him and Magnus.]

You came here to enjoy yourselves. Don't stop because of me. [He hesitated a moment before asking Magnus:] You're sure you don't mind me tagging along?

[Raising an eyebrow at Jace's insistence, Magnus keeps his mouth shut rather than replying with more questions. His side feels cold without Alec's body warm fitted beneath his arm, but he tries to focus instead on the importance of letting the parabatai rebuild their relationship. Magnus had moments of jealousy, both of the history the two shared as well as the bond between their souls, but he knew it was childish and pointless.

He watched the two with sharp eyes, the way that Jace caught onto Alec's hand and gripped it. Obviously he didn't want to leave Alec, so Magnus would just have to keep a little distance for now as to not drive him away. Waving a hand, he walked past them and towards something else, pretending anything could be more eye-catching than the pair.] Of course not. You're a part of Alec's life, and that makes you a part of mine.

[He feels slightly guilty that his date with Magnus is being sidetracked but the festival is for a few days. They could spend an hour or two with Jace, couldn't they?

Would Magnus be okay with it? He'd been jealous of Jace before, hating even the smallest gesture of affection that Alec shared with his parabatai. They seemed to be getting along now that they were rooming together, but Alec doesn't want to push and have that good will ruined. It doesn't help that Jace is sending mixed messages, saying he should leave while clinging to Alec like he expects him to disappear forever if he lets go. For months, he barely existed to Jace and now this. As Magnus pretends to look at one of the displays, Alec knows what his husband is doing and gives him a grateful smile as he walks by.]

Magnus has been around parabatai before. He knows that where one goes, the others follows. He knew we're a package deal when he started dating me.

If you're really worried about it, keep an eye on Max later so we can sneak out. [Maybe if he added that 'incentive' for their date to be postponed, Jace won't feel like he's intruding.]

[Jace watched Magnus as he passed. He had never shared Alec with anyone before, but considering the whole mess with Alec being forced to share him with Clary he honestly didn't blame Magnus if he didn't feel like sharing.

It seemed inevitable that their relationship would change with their hearts. Alec loved Magnus. Jace couldn't help thinking he'd missed his chance.

Chance for what he wasn't sure. Everything was a huge mess in his head.]

I'll stay with Max. [And then more quietly, turning back to Alec.] I doubt the parabatai Magnus knew crashed intimate date night.

[Standing apart from the two, he realized that the display he'd gravitated towards was for a series of novelty sex toys that were sure to make Alec blush. While Magnus didn't care much, and really had been around too long to be shocked by anything, he couldn't help thinking it wasn't exactly going to calm Jace down, either. Whirling around, his eyes rested on Alec for a moment before flicking over to Jace.]

It's true, I've known a few over the years. The two of you are definitely the most handsome package I've seen, though. [His lips quirked at the corner, unable to keep a totally straight face at the innuendo.

Snorting softly, he rolled his eyes and continued to walk along the aisle and towards the exit.] Some of the parabatai were the intimate date night. At least I assume. [He glanced back at the two in order to assure they were following him.] Why don't the three of us have some lunch?
