[Kate nods her head softly. It's something else that she'll probably look into.

She's used to dangerous areas and while the forest and the creatures living in it might not be in the city, people are and people can be just as dangerous.]

Would it be crazy to carry a gun with me. [It's probably an odd question considering the silver cross around her neck.] I'm from Texas. Ain't to sure about other states but most have a gun of some sort. [Usually hunting riffles though Kate's more skilled with hand guns.]

[Wanda hesitates, not because the question alarms her but because she's just not certain.]

I don't think it would be crazy. The likelihood of needing to use it within the perimeter walls are slim, but I couldn't say that you would never need it. I'm not certain what the laws are however, so you're best investigating that before starting to carry one around town.

[She gives the other girl a curious look.]

Did you have cause to carry a gun on you back home? Or was it just...habit?

[Kate shakes her head.]

I haven't really. [Any time she ends up with a weapon it's by accident or necessity. Out of those she knows, she's the only one who doesn't carry a gun. Maybe it's better that way.]

I was just thinking about it. It probably isn't a good idea.

[She's never needed help protecting herself, why would she need more now?]

It's something to think about perhaps, but nothing to rush into if you're not used to it. Not experienced with it.

[Wanda tries to give Kate a reassuring smile, though it doesn't reach her eyes and really isn't very warm.]

There are more people here with powers and training than we even have back home. The streets are fairly safe and if they're ever not, there are many people who can and will jump into action to help. I wouldn't worry overmuch.
