Sure. [The agreement is easy, if a little doubtful. Privacy is not something Tony's great at, either his or anyone else's. But he's not looking to get on the government's bad side at the moment and he's not sure he wants to know badly enough, so. Something to think about.]

[The rest of it may not be things he particularly wants to deal with, but the fascination with his armor makes Tony smile slightly. It's always kind of nice to have someone take actual interest in the work, not just what it can do.

Besides, it's his armor. He feels absolutely zero shame in being smug about it. Which means it generally doesn't take much to get him to show off, but he's not about to let that out quite yet.

Not when his smile is upgrading to a smirk, anyway.]

[ Cisco almost, almost immediately quips back with "oh, various sexual favors," but he manages to restrain himself. That is a joke for friends, or at the very least acquaintances, not random strangers who he might make intensely uncomfortable (or worse, who might think he's being sincere). That was a close call, though. ]

I... can show you the tech I'm working on? You know, quid pro quo, Clarice, and all that? Or, uh, I can walk your dog for a week, if you've got a dog? Bake you some slightly substandard cookies? Um, buy you another drink?

[ He doesn't think Tony is actually looking for payment - not with the way he's smirking - which is why he doesn't just offer to actually give him money. ]

[ Jon blinks at the attention before unassumingly holding up his hot dog. ]

[Shiro definitely was one of the displaced, considering he had never seen this place before, even in their travels with Voltron. He had seen a lot of things, but not this. Though he did find something pleasant in finding another pilot here. He found himself wondering about the type of crafts she had in her world]

It's different than piloting in atmosphere. You don't have such things as wind resistance or weather to take into consideration. However, you also don't have resistance to slow down, turning can be harder, and there are much larger obstacles you could run into.

[He chuckled as he took a bite of the food that he had taken from the offered plates]

I don't know what it is, but this thing is really good. Also yeah, I guess you have been to space now. Even if you weren't quite expecting it.

I take it you don't do much piloting off world.

[Maybe someone else would have judged it questionable decision making, but she did trust Tony. He was safe to her, in ways almost no one else was.]

The rest is a mess. But Nat and I managed to fix things, just ended up with a few... side effects.

And he's not wrong-- She wanted someone to know. So that when something inevitably went wrong there was someone that would understand. And with Tony- well, he was good with this sort of stuff, if anyone was.]

[It seems he'd just sort of gone into a trance, because he sort of blinks back at Jon as if he hadn't noticed he was there. He shakes his head pointedly.]

Nah, you could use it more than me - you're skin and bones. [He glances around.] Running around without your parents again?

[ Jon glances at his arms quizzically. He eats well enough . . . The Kents have big appetites. ]

My dad's working.

[ His shoulders slump a little. ]

And mom left two months ago.

Oh. Shit.

[He'd been pretty troubled after a friend leaving, but... it must be much, much worse to be missing a mother.]

You get to talk to her before she left? Or was she just... gone?

We didn't say goodbye.

[ His cousin left too. Which also sucked, but Jon only spent a few days with Cousin Kara, even back at home. ]

But that's okay. Mom's important and busy.

[Dodger is silent for a moment, before patting the space beside him. If Jon takes a seat, he'll pull him into a loose hug.]

You seem like you're holding up pretty good, at least. [He tips his head to the side.] Bet she wouldn't want you hanging around the party crowd, though. You planning to steal some wallets or something?

[ Jon sits down and starts a little from the hug, but beams regardless. He's always liked physical contact. ]

No, I wanted to see all the costumes. I thought if I got through the crowd, I'd find a platform to climb on.

[ He could easily fly or jump on, but there were too many people around for that. ]

He awkwardly shifts his weight from one leg to the other, offering a quick nod in response. ]

[ And he struggles to say that blandly, too, but it's a struggle; a hint of bitterness still edges into his voice. He remembers all too well how Ego told him about the other children, showed him that weird diorama of how he bedded various women in the hopes of creating one worthy child. And he remembers, too, how quickly Peter's half-siblings were discarded as failures when they couldn't tap into the Light.

His jaw ticks at the thought, and he directs his dark look to the assembled crowd in an effort to avoid directing it at Mantis, who would probably take it personally – something he wants to avoid. Not her fault, after all.

(But he still wonders – how many of Ego's children did she meet before she finally put her foot down?

And if Drax hadn't been kind to her, would she have left Peter to whatever fate awaited him at Ego's hands?)

Her question draws a surprised look from him, and he blinks for a second. Then, he shrugs a shoulder, forcing himself to relax. ]

A few, yeah. The Ravagers liked big shindigs like this.

We had carnivals like this back on Earth, too. I mean, not exactly like this, but. Sort of.

I don't really keep a track of that, but there's always a lot of people coming in at the beginning of every month. Not at the same time, mind you, but on different intervals. At least that's what I've observed.

Ahaha, if only that were easy, Mr. Reaper. Eichi-kun does whatever he wants, unfortunately. I can only support him to a certain extent.

[ because that's... really all he's good for, isn't he? he keeps his mouth shut about that and instead brings a free hand to his mouth to stifle any more giggles. who knew that throwing eichi under the bus like this can make tsumugi feel more at ease in the presence of the Death cosplayer here? ]

[ tsumugi can't help but let out a light chuckle as well. he'd thought that the other boy might get pissed off with all the water, but he's glad that they're both taking this in stride. ]

Ahaha, this is less of a downpour and more of a sunshower, isn't it? At least we won't get a cold from this.

[ Loki still wants to leave, but he can't fully deny that Riverview has been . . . comforting. Particularly in ways he had not foreseen. Still, even though Loki has relaxed his guard of late, he is still looking for an out.

He admires some fine red rope, fingers running down the length. ]
