Wait outside front doors. We'll be home soon.

[But sure, Stephen will be outside, Wong snuffling in the bushes on either side of the porch steps.]
no subject
When he makes eye-contact with Stephen the godling huffs and smirks tiredly, then pats the cloak to wake it up from its exhausted nap. It shakes itself awake and follows Loki's attention ... Stephen may want to try and catch the cloak as it jerks off Loki's shoulders, sewn-together and old yet somehow quick to fly at its master. ]
no subject
Wong of course came bounding out of the bushes to come greet Loki, stubby tail windmilling as he ran around the godling' ankles.]
no subject
[ He scoops up Wong for pettings, heavy feet taking Loki up the porch where he rambles on inanely so as not to involve himself in the touching moment between man-and-garment. ]
no subject
Too bad. By the time he's up the stairs, the cloak has settled at least a little, Stephen freed up enough to put an arm out, catching him around the shoulders in a quick but tight one-armed hug.]
Thanks.
[Eeeew, bad words!
After this he releases Loki, instead heading to push the door open, leading the way in.]
I can get some eggs going. Might even have some english muffins to go with.
[Wong is continuing the affection train though, wiggling for pats and trying to lavish Loki with doggy kisses. He'd been gone practically forever in Lillipup time!]
no subject
I knew you'd missed me, the muffins confirm it beyond a shadow of a doubt. Tell me, on a scale of one to ten, how hard did you weep for my company to return?
no subject
[Wong is happy to soak up all the affection ever, spoiled thing that he was. He did however side-eye the hell out of the black lab that came trotting into the front room to see what was up and to mug Stephen for some pats while snuffling curiously at the cloak.]
no subject
Keeping Wong tucked in place with one arm, he pats the black lab. ]
Were no wild parties hosted while I was away? I'm almost disappointed. I would have thought that, with me gone, more of your fellows from our universe would want to visit.

it's a quick trip down to the kitchen, stopping by the coffee pot first because fuck if he's going to function like a relatively normal person before downing caffeine. he downs the entire cup on the slow trek into the lounge, leans over the back of the sofa to wrap arms around loki's shoulders, empty mug against his chest. )
Welcome back, hero. ( with a soft kiss pressed to loki's cheek. )
no subject
Have many monuments been erected in my honour? Did the Avengers beg you not to tell me how much they appreciate my hard work?
no subject
( buttfaces, even if they're among billy's favorite buttfaces. he slouches down against the back of the sofa, leans his weight into loki's shoulders with his chin resting against a collarbone to watch the screen in front of them. )
How was your trip?
no subject
[ He runs his fingers through Billy's hair, giving a tug. ]
I have a perfectly good lap and it's witchless, could you fix that?
no subject
walking around the sofa to climb onto his lap is clearly much more effort than he needs to put into it, so billy instead moves one arm over loki's shoulder so they're both on the same side of his neck, gets up onto his toes and pushes himself up and over the side of it, sliding his way down and throwing legs off to a side to get himself comfortable.
because that's clearly a lot less hard than walking four steps. )
no subject
Maybe if he lived with Billy their whole house would smell so good. ]
I missed your hands. How weird is that? No one was out there in the jungle to take mine when I reached out at night.
no subject
I said I'd come keep you company if you wanted. ( but it's a little late for that. both hands free, billy raises them to cup loki's cheeks in between his fingers, traces over the lines of his cheeks with thumbs. ) I'll hold your hand extra to make up for it.

'Magical Pals dinner-date in 5 @ Trix, don't be late!!!'
And because he's extra, their table is near the fireplace with a candle between their drinks. The effort is fun and Stephen knows better than to assume this is a seduction scene: sometimes, as Loki is self-aware enough to pick up on, he just goes for more instead of less.
He stands beside the table in a clean white shirt, sleeves rolled up from his exploits in the kitchen. Whistling as he waits and hopes not to be stood up. ]

It's probably lucky he wasn't eyeballs deep in research at that point or he'd completely have missed the text in the first place. Only pausing to make sure he drank one of his potions and that the pups had food of their own before heading out.
He couldn't help the slight arch of a brow that accompanied a faint amused grin when he arrived at the sight of the setup, Cloak slipping from his shoulders to go bounding off for some exploration, pausing only to pat at Loki with a corner of fabric in a mute greeting before swishing past.]
So, what's the occasion?
no subject
I thought we could do with a talk, a catch-up, but coffee seemed too casual. We can do that any time. Would the Master of the Mystic Arts, AKA my landlord these months past with no demands of rent, please join me for dinner?
no subject
Gossip and food? I will absolutely join you. [Stephen couldn't help the low chuckle as he sits in the offered chair, thoroughly amused by the over-the-top presentation Loki was going for.]
no subject
So, to begin with something fairly relevant, what's in that potion you've been taking?
no subject
The one letting me eat? God, that's a hell of an ingredient list... lot of the same things that go into your average and not-so-average antitoxin potions for starters, seemed the most basic place to start. [He'll actually flick open the list on his phone to slide over for Loki to skim.]
Most obnoxious part is getting it all purified before mixing it up, if I futz it up, gotta start from square one.
no subject
That's a hefty number of additives. Sure you don't want to add some vitamin C in there just for good measure? [ He hums thoughtfully. ] You must be making this stuff by the barrel.
no subject
[Pausing to take a sip of wine while Loki was skimming the list.]
It doesn't take too much for a dose, surprisingly. About the same amount as an espresso shot goes for most of a day, so a batch goes pretty far.
