Too bad. By the time he's up the stairs, the cloak has settled at least a little, Stephen freed up enough to put an arm out, catching him around the shoulders in a quick but tight one-armed hug.]

After this he releases Loki, instead heading to push the door open, leading the way in.]

[Wong is continuing the affection train though, wiggling for pats and trying to lavish Loki with doggy kisses. He'd been gone practically forever in Lillipup time!]

[ Maybe, just possibly, he leans into that hug for a moment and turns uncharacteristically pink on the ears. Straightening as he follows Stephen inside, he cradles Wong like a baby and gives him all the bellyrubs he could want. ]

I knew you'd missed me, the muffins confirm it beyond a shadow of a doubt. Tell me, on a scale of one to ten, how hard did you weep for my company to return?

As if it could be measured by simple numbers. [While his tone was amused, he was honest. He liked having Loki around.] The Sanctum is far too quiet without you around.

[Wong is happy to soak up all the affection ever, spoiled thing that he was. He did however side-eye the hell out of the black lab that came trotting into the front room to see what was up and to mug Stephen for some pats while snuffling curiously at the cloak.]

[ It's nice to be missed. This hasn't happened before except with Verity and he follows along in Stephen's wake with a small smile in place that can't be shaken off. Welcomed home with a hug? Truly an outstanding experience.
