It's funny how Marinette, rather, Ladybug will fuss at other people to get rest and relax a while, but rarely takes her own advice. She's not put that many hours in with the Perimeter Guard since she only works with the search and rescue team part time, but it wouldn't hurt to pop in during her free time now and then. So the lady superhero makes her appearance, all red and black spots, complete with mask -naturally. Usually she goes out exploring around this time since she needs to see if she can find something interesting to spark her thoughts, but this time she's hanging around the guard station, either chatting with those present or idly training. Right now? It's training. She's been lucky enough to not have her memories leaked out or peeked in on - thank god(s). Or goddess. She's not picky. Swing by, chat her up or engage her in a friendly spar? ... be gentle.

"People who... yuou mean pedophiles? That's..." Heavy. Sick. That's ... it's like she's fought diet crime, or zero calorie crime even. She's never had to deal with murderers, drug runners or...anything else. ...

We need to do something fun together this month, do you think?

"Yeah. Like I said, Bug. Bad people out there. You handle what you handle, but there's stuff out there that's dangerous. Especially for someone like you."

Hmph! Well fine, Spots will do. She'll still remind him of her name though, because she's a persistent thing!

"... yeah that's... I know you can't really pick and choose a crime when it happens right in front of you but... still." If she could pick and choose, she.. isn't sure she'd want to deal with pedophiles or murderers. But she knows THAT is a naïve outlook. "How do you deal with them?" Does he just... y'know... kill 'em?

*chinscratch* We could pick an open mission?

"Depends. But they don't hurt anyone after I'm done with them." Sometimes he shoots them, but he doesn't always have a gun. He can get creative.

"That's why you shouldn't go out on your own." Dadvoice again.

She... yeah no don't tell her how creative he can get. She likes being able to sleep at night. Ladybug heaved the sigh that all teenage girls use when 'dads are being uncool or embarrassing them. "Okay Okay, I'll send you a message when I go out on patrols." She'll probably remember, she's good at keeping promises.

He won't tell her, then. Though, rumor has it, at least at one point in his life, he was pretty good at bedtime stories.

And he was also a teenager once, so don't even try that voice with him. "See, now that was easy, right?" He wins. As usual.

She was too old for bedtime stories anyway. And! She'll use that voice anytime she wants he's not the boss of her! HE'S NOT HER REAL DAD. Ahem. She giggles a bit at how smug he was about that response - oh boy. How about some humility Frank? "As pie." She answered with a grin. Even thoughs he still thought it wasn't necessary, at least it only applied to if she went out alone, and not if she went out on patrol with someone else right?

"I guess it at least is better than being lost out there with no one having an idea of where I went anyway." MAYBE.

She can use teenager voice all she wants. He is so ready.

"You guess? Try that again." It's definitely better than being lost with no one having a clue where you were. "Am I going to have to put a damn tracking device on you?" Don't make him do it. The choice is yours, Buggy.

Don't you do it Mr. Man! Don't you do it! That's a blatant invasion of privacy! BAD NOT!DAD. "WHAT?" Fun how her voice just shoots up several octaves at that too. "You CANNOT be serious!" TEENAGER TONE, 100%. Like he just told her she was grounded and couldn't go to the latest concert.

"All right all right! It's better!" Keep your tracking stuff away from her ;.;

"Good." Spoiler, Buggy: Frank's not a good man. Not really. Exhibit A, the smile of victory he gives when she gives in.

"I don't actually have any tracking devices, though." For the record. But if he did, he'd totally have stuck one on one of those silly dots on her costume.

"Oh sure, NOW you tell me." She SIGHED, making an extra show of the dramatics. Though she grins. "You win THIS round." And probably the others too since it just wasn't worth legitimately fussing over.

Don't get mad at him--he doesn't get many laughs in his life. He'll take them where he can find them. "I tend to do that." Because when he loses, it goes really, really bad.

ONly not. She grinned in spite of herself, facepalming and shaking her head. "All right, I'd better get out of here for the time being." Not out on patrol though, she only came in to do a little training, and chatting with new people, and succeeded that.
