Happy Halloween [ totally open ]
who: anyone ;
what: halloween party
when: October 31 - 6PM-11PM (or later~)
where: Element Nightclub
warnings: if needed - please post in individual threads.

Welcome to the Club
Outside of the club there's some decorations, but they remain minimal, so not to interfere with the glowing sign "Element" to let people know that this is the place to be. There's a bouncer, larger in stature, standing near the entrance of the club. He's there more to ensure that there's no trouble, rather than anything else. He's dressed as Frankenstein, to match the theme of the club's decorations. The only decorations outside, really are an array of neatly organized jack-o-lanterns with a variety of designs and shapes.
In the entranceway, there's fake cobwebs decorating the ceiling, and spiders and bugs decorating the entranceway and walls. Everything is neatly done. Perfectly organized, and details are definitely strongly considered in each and every step. This entranceway is quite dark, though. The only lighting is purple, turned down quite low so not to illuminate, but to keep it safe for people to walk through and get into the club.
The further one steps into the club, the more elaborate the decorations get. While it's still pretty dimly light, though there's more colorful lighting near the dancefloor.
There's so many things to see, including moving skeletons, thanks to a bit of magic courtesy of Nico. In parts of the room, there's ghostly figures in a variety of poses.
One of the corners is lit up completely with a blacklight, and there's some accessories near a shelf that glow in the blacklight.
Another of the corners is lit up a little more brightly, with curtains hanging and a camera. A photobooth with fun props, so that people can have fun capturing pictures of their costumes. Once they take pictures, they'll be given a ticket so that they can get the pictures taken the following day online.
In the center of the club, is the dance floor, off to the side - there's a bar, there's games, food tables, and all sorts of things to keep one entertained for the duration of the night.
Costumes are not required to enjoy the night, but they are certainly recommended and encouraged.

Dance Floor
The dance floor is more brightly lit than the rest of the club. The lights blink and strobe to the beat of the music. The music that is being played is a combination of remixes of songs from various horror movies, remixes of classic rock songs, and audience requests. The clear intention is to get people up, moving, and dancing. The music may be not quite so familiar to people who aren't from a more modern-day earth.
At the front of the dance floor, there's a platform where the DJ is working. Near it, there's a small table where people can write down requests for music that can be played later on in the evening. He's open to suggestions, since people from other worlds or times might want to hear something more familiar to them.
Towards the end of the night, he leaves the platform to participate in the party, and a playlist starts - featuring any music requested, as well as songs that he had picked out earlier in the month to be sure that he'd play for people to participate in.
The last few songs are definitely far less upbeat than the first, as it is meant to slow down the party, encourage people to leave, and get people to cool off from a night out.

Bar
The bar has red lighting above it. It's a long bar, and near one of the walls, opposite from the blacklight and photobooth. There's three bartenders. They're dressed as a vampire, zombie, and a werewolf. They seem happy and excited to be here. They're bouncing round, helping to serve guests as quickly as possible. The glasses come in a variety of designs for customer to get - depending on the drink they get.
The drinks themselves seem to be Halloween themed, with names like "Vampire Blood" and "Witch's Curse". There's both alcoholic and non-alcoholic versions of most of the drinks available to people to get.

Trick-or-Treat
The wall nearest to the entrance has several foods. All the food is finger food that people can pick up for themselves. So many different treats (and not really any tricks) to pick from. The treats seem to come from various places, as the people who prepared it are used to a variety of people eating the food. There seems to be something suitable for everyone who is attending.
Scattered among the foods are sweets that are particularly favored to Halloween. There's some caramel apples that can be found at the tables, as well as a variety of popcorns and other fun sweet treats.
There's two large bowls (one at either end of the tables) with a variety of sweets - from chocolates, hard candies, to gummies. Basically, if it is a Halloween favorite, it can be found there.
While the bar is always available to get drinks - there's options here for water bottles, and two punch bowls, one with a red concoction, which tastes like fruit punch, and the other is apple cider.

Relaxation & Games
There's so many options and places to hang out in the club. There's games in random spots hanging around - such as bobbing for applies, or pin the tail on the werewolf. Silly, fun things to do to keep people entertained when they're wanting to take a break from dancing.
Also, there's several places near the walls to sit and hang out next to the bar, and between the photobooth and blacklight - against the wall. Tables and with fun decorations, and centerpieces - jack-o-lanterns with lights inside, glowing a bright orange. The tablecloths are black and orange. The seating is comfortable.

Wildcard
If you have an idea of your own, please - feel free to go for it!

Mm, he and I are from the same reality, but different timelines.
...He's my boyfriend.
1/2
oh gosh now Osomatsu is stuck on perverted thoughts. but what about girls? don't they like girls?! no, obviously not! they're boyfriends!
BUT WHAT ABOUT TOUCHING BOOBS? do they toch boobs? man-boobs? no, they must touch dicks... yeah, that sounds pretty gay...!]
2/2
[he manages to finally get out, stamping down his thoughts for now. he looks a bit stiff and awkward anyway]
no subject
Aoba smirks at Osomatsu, underlining the awkward way he now holds himself by teasing him a little: ]
You look tense, Osomatsu-kun~
Are you disappointed to hear I'm not single? [ Aoba stop ]
no subject
N-naw, it's not that! I'm actually a bit jealous. [he leans forward, resting an arm on the table] It's like everyone's got someone, yanno? No matter who they are, or what they like.
no subject
[ Like... every time there seems to be people pairing off (or 2+) and he remembers Noiz is at home, his face lit by his screen and the data that flies across it. He sighs and smiles. ]
So...
Is there someone you like? Someone you'd like to ask out sometime?
no subject
Well, there's this girl back at home, Totoko-chan. [a sigh] I've asked 'er out plenty of times. [they all have?] But she's just not interested.
no subject
Does he know Karamatsu also has the hots for her? Suddenly Aoba regrets asking this question and wants to depart from it. Immediately. ]
No no no, I meant here. Someone you can talk to now!
no subject
Here? [Osomatsu blinks, then looks up at the ceiling in thought] I don't... know too many people here yet. The closest person I know is Lyle, but I'm not sure I'd ever ask 'im out.
no subject
Lyle? [ He blinks in surprise. That's... a man's name, isn't it? ] Are you the kind of guy who doesn't mind being with men and women?
no subject
...but then he'd spent a couple nights here cuddling guys. Lyle, and Dave... and those had been experiences. good ones. and, at first, Osomatsu had simply chalked it up as to being more comfortable around other guys, because he spent a lot of time around his brothers.
he thinks about it often, what it'd be like to have a girlfriend. he really likes breasts, okay? but then, he also wants to be taken care of, and he feels like only another guy would be able to do that.
the wheels in his head are obviously turning, and he takes a while to answer because, for some reason, his brain is fuzzy]
I... Don't know? I mean. Don't get me wrong. I like women, love women! But... If some guy said he liked me... I dunno if I'd say no to 'im. ..........Unless he was hideous. And weird. But, it'd be the same with a girl, too!
[stop him]
no subject
[ And that's hard, especially if Osomatsu is from a culture similar to his, where sexuality is already both deified and vilified, with stigmas attached to the frequency of and type of partner someone wants to be with. It's also hard to talk about. ]
Try not to rush into it, but I think asking Lyle if he's interested in going out to see a movie or grab a bite to eat sometime is a good idea.
I think asking to grab a cup of coffee is a good start. It's cheap, and you don't have to spend a lot of time together if it doesn't work out! But when it does, you can always go somewhere else.
no subject
Osomatsu is a loser. there are too many people out of his league]
...I guess it might be fun to hang out more.
no subject
Just don't try too hard. [ Easier said than done, Aoba, remember Karamatsu. ] If he's interested in a little more, he'll let you know. But you'll have at least made a friend, right?
no subject
Maaan, Aoba-kun is pretty smart about relationships! Do you, like, make it your business to help other people?
no subject
N-no, I mean... I just -- it'd really be disappointing if I just let you continue to feel bad if I didn't try to help...
[ Aoba feels like a busy-body now. Thanks, he hates this. ]
no subject
Well, whatever... Thanks a lot. For wanting to help me.
no subject
You just... well, you said it yourself. You don't want to be alone, right? All I'm saying is what you'd just come up with on your own, eventually.
...I hope I'm not overreaching.
no subject

You have family and this special someone who seems to have caught your eye.
[ Aoba's trying to encourage him, emboldened by the substances he's been taking that help him set aside his restraint in favor of embracing this funny, comforting feeling of being connected with others. It's nice, but with that comfort comes a lifting of that filter that sometimes should continue to be in place. ]
no subject
Special someone! You make it sound so serious... I said before that Lyle’s just a friend.
no subject
Some people think that if you think of things working out, the universe will conspire with you to see it happen. So wish hard, Osomatsu-kun!
...J-Just don't go overboard. [ Don't go full-on Karamatsu. ]
no subject
All right, all right! You n’me, then... wishin’ for good things! Good... things... [like wishing that he gets more friends, that people stop calling him Karamatsu...] I’ll wish for a pachinko machine!
