[It was the third time that Lyle had circled the area where he first spotted the car, taking several days to do it. Yep, it was definitely the car that he thought it was, as he walked up and looked at the license plate. He stopped for a long moment, looking up and down the street as though expecting someone to suddenly come around the corner.

In a way, he was, but when that person didn't make an appearance and no one else seemed to as well in this quiet stretch of street, Lyle went into action, pulling out a lock jimmy from his trench coat. It didn't take long for him to actually get it open, opening the door and sitting down in the car. He immediately rifled through the glove box; the name on the registration said "Neil Dylandy"]

Jackpot.

[He continued to search the car for a few a moments, finally discovering under one of the seats a set of keys]

[Oh wow, there it goes again. Probably because they are still here talking about it]

Not too long. A couple of weeks. I had some experience with basic mechs so this was only slightly different. Besides, I had a good co-pilot.

[only a couple of weeks? Osomatsu continues to be impressed]

Oh, yeah? They as good a pilot as you?

[Lyle definitely likes it when people are impressed by what he does. Lyle has the opposite problem of Osomatsu; he's the youngest brother and feels like Neil was overshadowing him so someone being impressed by something he does is all good with him]

Sort of. It's that little orange robot there. [Because look there it is] They're called Haros. That one has been with me since I joined Celestial Being.

Yeah, I saw the Haros! [he somehow could guess what they are, thanks to their chat from before] Though... I was expecting a more human co-pilot! Heh.

Well might be a little tight in the cockpit for a human co-pilot. I wouldn't complain about it though. Having a cute co-pilot would be nice.

Not that the haros aren't cute, but in a different way.

Sure, sure. I get what you're sayin'. But, yeah. Those Haros are neat. Do you know how to make 'em?

They definitely are. I don't have a clue how to make them. They were already completed when I joined the team. Who knows though? Several people I know have been getting mech and stuff since arriving. Maybe I'll get a haro.

[ah, yay! even more than the giant robot, Osomatsu wants to see a Haro. they were just adorable]

You mean you can get stuff from home? Delivered here?

I don't think people are specifically asking for anything. It just shows up. Someone had her mech arrive here. Another pair had their robot lions show up. None of them were expecting it. So it seems to be random.

[oh, that's a little less exciting. Osomatsu rubs his cheek in thought]

I see... That's too bad. I really want a Haro, myself. I wanted to ask for one.

Well, maybe if I get one then I can figure out the programming for one. They are really advanced.

You know that would be interesting... if I could figure out how to make them for people.

[Osomatsu's face lights up again]

I bet you could, since you can pilot that mecha! [he has so much faith in Lyle] Then you could make 'em or have someone else make 'em, and get a lot of money!

Well, I do more the piloting side than the mechanics, but it's probably not too hard to figure out. Their AI system would be the hardest part of it. They are very smart little buggers.

That I would be a haro to be able to work with first.

[right, what it came down to was that Lyle needed a haro to make other haros! geez.

Well, if I ever get the chance to ask for something, I'll make sure t'ask for haros from your universe. Maybe if two of us asked, one of them would have to arrive!

[Lyle chuckled when he said that. It was oddly pleasant to have someone so excited about something from his world]

Deal. We'll both ask for haros if we get the chance to. Once I get the haro then the next time we can ask for something from your world.

Something from my world, huh? [HMMM... whatever would Osomatsu ask for...]

Oh! Maybe a pachinko machine! You ever play pachinko?

Pachinko? No can't say that I've ever seen one of those before. What is a pachinko machine?

[oh. oh no. Osomatsu mock gasps, then leans in to pat Lyle's arm sympathetically]

Maaaan, you poor soul. Pachinko's, like, the greatest thing ever! The machine is used to play.

[Okay, the reaction was the best part of it. Clearly pachinko was something that Osomatsu liked and the fact that Lyle didn't know anything about it was sad]

How do you play pachinko?

Hmmm! It's pretty easy, but there's a bit of strategy to it.

[it's too bad Osomatsu can't share his memory of him winning at pachinko now... or the many times he's lost]

It's kind of like a pinball machine? But it's used to win prizes. You send a bunch of metal balls into the playing field, and they bounce around on bumpers and pins, an' land in certain holes. Depending on where the balls land, they'll trigger a slot machine that can win you more balls to play with!

Wow... that sounds... simple and complicated at the same time. I'd be interested in trying it though to see how it works.

[He's trying to picture it and he's not sure if he's picturing it correctly. However, it was amusing what he was picturing]

Haros first, then pachinko machines! [he can't believe he's saying that. he's been wanting a pachinko machine for months] We'll be livin' right!

[He laughs at that] Sounds good. Haro then pachinko. Man, wouldn't it be weird to have a haro themed pachinko machine.

[Where is your mind, Lyle?]

[wow!]

Actually, pachinko machines are themed! I'm sure there are a bunch that are mecha-themed . [there were even pachinko machines with... well, never mind that, that is too meta!]

That would be crazy. Huh, wonder if I could start a mech themed business if we got haros and mech themed pachinko machine.
