(wonders what it is he's doing to make gladio balk like that, but when he looks down it's made clear enough. this place has a distinct lack of chakra — and no wonder in a dimension like this, cut off from its roots. suigetsu tries not to think about it too hard, but stands to address him.)

Chakra control. (matter-of-factly, motioning down to bare feet.) You focus chakra to the part of you touching the water, adjust accordingly to the currents, ripples, or waves, and then — walk, run...

(a sudden leap, half a metre over the surface, before landing on his toes like the water's made of cement.)

Chakra...? [ Chakra isn't a thing that he's aware of, although maybe it ranked up there with things that don't actually do anything to protect the King and thus not included as a part of his education. It doesn't mean it doesn't exist, but it's just not much of a thing where he's from.

And then Suigetsu surprises him with another impressive trick -- which is quickly ruined by things that SHOULD HAVE REMAINED UNSEEN. ]

[ Gladio sucks in a breath and makes an annoyed tsk sound between his teeth. He had been wondering why he was suddenly barechested and there was a decided back of clothing on the beach, and now he knows why. His clothes are just gone. ]

H-Hey! Put on some pants when you talk to me! [ Running around naked is what little toddlers who don't know better do! ]

(oh, there's a suspicious lack of clothing on the beach as well, another one of the oddest talents gladio will witness in his lifetime.

but as for right now— suigetsu slowly looks down, despite knowing what the fuss is about, staring at his naked body with a plain look. he never could quite understand what the big deal was; sasuke tries to tell him time and time again that clothing is a societal standard. he listens, yet here he is... and yes he fucking forgot. the expression on him is soured, planting his hands on narrow hips)

Don't be such a baby. It's just a body. (starting forward, aiming for the shoreline.) You walk around shirtless all the time and no one tells you what to do, so what's the big deal here? You come into my territory, where I can do what I like and you guys still try to tell me different...

(stopping just short of the bank.)

What, you scared of a dick? Is that it?

[ Gladiolus gives him a stern, unimpressed stare. Shirtless isn't the same thing, but sometimes he wonders if this guy knows the difference. ]

Only babies and perverts roll around naked, so if you're not either then dress like an adult.

[ Mouth tightening to a flat, unimpressed line, Gladio takes a deliberate stare down and then back up again. No, he's not scared, certainly not over something so puny. ]

Now if you're done tryin' to provoke me, I've brought you something.

(suigetsu looks UNFAZED when gladio makes it obvious he's taking a good look. he does, however, roll his eyes.)

I'm not trying to provoke you. I'd get in trouble if I was, so don't provoke me.

(but he does like gifts, head tilting with a skeptical narrowing of his eyes.)

If it's pants, I already got a pair.

[ Suigetsu is... such an odd guy. Everything about him feels alien. But innocent. It's kinda weird. ]

Tsk -- As if I'd come with something like that! Dress yourself.

[ Gladio pulls out of his jacket an apple and a tube of dairy product -- banana flavored yogurt. ]

Here. If you want coffee, it's at camp.

(the second gladio reveals the yogurt, he knows what it is. he's never seen tube-style yogurt before this second, but he knows it's yogurt, he can sense it like it's the most useless seventh sense anyone's ever heard of. and suigetsu can't remember the last time he had something like that — and in such a convenient form?!

it's the most beautiful thing he's seen yet, since finding sasuke and the aquarium and this lake, and the surface he's standing on seems to upheave and bump him towards the shore with a light step onto sand.

You brought me something good, Gladiooo, look at this! (immediately reaching out for the yogurt tube, more cheerful than he's been since arriving at that campsite and signing up for this odd mission, eyes creasing.) What's this say? What kind is it? I've never had this one before!
