When you're sworn to protect someone - duty bound - it's at any cost. Not every threat can be neutralized by a direct assault, ya know?

No, it can't be. It just depends on what level you're willing to go to before your actions are viewed as irredeemable.

"King"? [ There's a word he hasn't heard many times, and certainly not within the context of his own world's politics.

He looks Gladio over, however, pausing for far too long before dark grey eyes suddenly lighten to red. And then he stares even longer. ]

[ Wow who the hell are you, kid? Gilgamesh? Anyway, he looks back at him and answers with a confidence he wouldn't have had if you caught him... well, a few scars short from what he's sporting now. ]

Yeah... pretty sure I am. [ Ever since he got Gilgamesh's approval, he's been feeling pretty fucking great on that front, thank you. ]

[ Well, this is an interesting development. His advice is rarely requested, merely his aid. At least this isn't someone just asking him to fix his problems. ]

Many, though I doubt our bodies work the same way. [ Whatever that means. ] Train until you can't move. Hit your limit every day. And take advantage of all the different people brought here by using them to show you new ways of fighting.
