( open ) get on board for perimeter guard shenanigans
who: Perimeter Guard members & visitors
what: a catch-all for routine Perimeter Guard stuff and shenanigans
when: throughout September
where: Perimeter Guard, beyond the wall, etc.
warnings: put any warnings in comment headers if need be!
[ This is a mingle log, so everyone feel free to write up your own starters, or just vaguely list out things your character might be up to, so other people know how they'd encounter them and where/how to engage. Some ideas for Perimeter Guard stuff:
• studying maps and working on map expansion;
• compiling wild animal data, reading/writing reports, other boring paperwork stuff;
• checking weaponry and devices, making repairs, etc.;
• going beyond the wall for a bit of surveying and exploration;
• checking out the shuttle currently being repaired (only Poe and Jim would actually be able to take it out for a test flight of any kind, but feel free to poke either of us if you'd like to thread that out!).
Go forth and have fun! ]

the part about people disappearing doesn't help.
for a few moments, they stand shoulder to shoulder, firing bullets into the targets. when that's done, she turns to him. she tries. ]
How did you do?
no subject
[he glances over at her when she speak up, making sure the gun is pointed out and away from them both.]
I hit what I wanted to. And you?

[ she's been using a variety of weapons since arriving at the city but guns have and will always be peggy's weapon of choice. it's been like this before and after the war, modernity has done little to change it.
she puts away her gun and offers a hand. ]
Peggy Carter.

[he feels like he's been using guns and blasters for more of his life than not. they're very familiar to him and also his default choice here even if they're not the only weapon he's skilled with.]
[he shakes it, grip firm and palm more calloused than smooth.] Cassian Andor.

[ professional and prim and ever so proper. ]
Have you been with us long? I fear that working for two agencies takes away some of my time. I won't pretend I've been here long enough as of late to introduce myself to everyone.

A few weeks, just over a month. The guard is the only place I work for here, and it already keeps me fairly busy. [is he maybe fishing towards what other agency she's at?? maybe.] The numbers are high enough and spread out among units that I am not surprised to find new faces all the time.

[ huff ]
nice of them to read my resume.

[besides, surveying seemed easier than any sort of enforcement. he likes doing salvage and repair right now.]
It's good to know now there are more options should I want a change, but I am still fine here. Do you have a preference between the two?
no subject
[ meaning, she has interest in both organizations. but then again, peggy carter is so used to being assigned coffee and lunch orders that being given responsibilities made her favour both her jobs. ]
I started with the Police Force, it's interesting work but this.
[ she looks around them. ]
Out-of-office duties. It's been a while since I had these.
[ not since the war and if she's truthful, she had missed field work. ]

What, not a fan of the paperwork part? [he is half teasing. cassian doesn't do well when he has to sit still for longer periods of time, but that's less to do with paperwork and more to do with his thoughts.] Even the field work requires data collection.
