[ This is a mingle log, so everyone feel free to write up your own starters, or just vaguely list out things your character might be up to, so other people know how they'd encounter them and where/how to engage. Some ideas for Perimeter Guard stuff:

• studying maps and working on map expansion;
• compiling wild animal data, reading/writing reports, other boring paperwork stuff;
• checking weaponry and devices, making repairs, etc.;
• going beyond the wall for a bit of surveying and exploration;
• checking out the shuttle currently being repaired (only Poe and Jim would actually be able to take it out for a test flight of any kind, but feel free to poke either of us if you'd like to thread that out!).

And you can do all of that . . . with a yoyo?

[ Cool. Jon doesn't know much about magic, since it is a sort of Kryptonite for him, but he's always been fascinated by it. ]

[ She grins. ]

Well, it's more with my magic than the yoyo itself. The yoyo is just a... a vessel that transforms into the charm with the magic of my Miraculous.

Why a yoyo though?

[ These are important questions. ]

[ The most important! ]

Well... Why not a yo-yo?

[ She giggled faintly. ]

But seriously, it wasn't my choice. At this point I don't question what the Miraculous wants to do, and the Yo-yo came as part of my power.

That's fair. Magic's weird like that. One of my dad's friends has an invisible jet.

[ Wonder Woman is great okay. ]

An invisible jet? That's really cool, but... I mean, how do they *find* it?

[ Maybe it's only invisible when it's flying? ]

[ Jon blinks. ]

Y'know, I never asked.

I bet they have some way of finding it, or it'd be pretty embarrassing bumping into it when they're trying to get in and fly.

It's magic, right? I bet that has something to do with it.

Yeah. I think the magic is pretty special too.

[ Something to do with gods and stuff. Jon doesn't remember much of it. ]

Do you have a lot of people who use magic where you're from?

[ Jon considers this thoughtfully. ]

I guess? We have all kinds of people. Magic, aliens, people from different dimensions. Science experiments. There's always someone special.

... Whoah. That's... WWWWWWWWAY more than we've got back home.

[ She kind of regrets the lack of variety, but at the same time, she probably should be glad since it's less confusing and chaotic that way. ]

Yeah, we have a lot of superheroes.

[ Jon glances at the training forlornly. ]

I guess that's why dad won't really let me do stuff.

Not even basic self defense? I mean.. sure you're young, but everyone should know how to protect themselves, at least. [ She thought she could understand a little but.. ]

[ Jon hangs his head. ]

It's . . . a little different in my case. My powers are a lot. Too much for people to handle.

[ Yeeah, super strength and the like... maybe he was still learning to hold back his punches. Or more likely, he couldn't. She was stronger as Ladybug, but she didn't think that would mean anything with his abilities. ]

I-- I see. [ Hrrm. ] That could be a little tricky... [ Hrrrrrm.... ]

You're telling me.

[ He slumps on the bench, looking at the training forlornly. ]

[ Aww. ]

.. have you ever tried training in a less... direct way?

What do you mean?

[ He's ten, he's not that subtle. ]

[ Ahaha, yeah that would probably be a bit out of his realm of ideas. ]

Well, I mean instead of training against someone directly, you could maybe use your abilities to say... you said you have super strength right? You could be a little creative, and maybe use your strength to make things, or test to see if you can find something that even you can't bend. Things like that. Within reason. [ Short of like. Juggling cars. ]

[ That's . . . not a bad idea. ]

Where can I find stuff like that?

Hmmm. That's a good question... there might be some here, or you could try this guy I was talking to a little while ago. He makes gadgets and things for superheroes. I haven't had time to swing by his shop yet though.

I could ask him if you want to give it a try sometime, or I can give you the address if you want to ask yourself. [ Paused. ] If you're allowed to, that is. [ She just figured it was at least a creative use for his abilities without getting him hurt. Somehow. ]

[ Gadgets? Sounds familiar. Probably that Iron Man person. ]

Yeah. That'd be great. Thanks Ms. Ladybug!

[ Different guy, actually, but on the right track! Ladybug grinned, shaking her head. ]

Just 'Ladybug'. No need for the "Ms." [ She glanced over her shoulder. ] Anyway I should get going - I have another appointment to keep. What's your contact? I'll let you know if I found anything. Or I could just let you know when I see you here, if you'd rather not tell me.

Oh, right. I'm not supposed to tell . . . [ Jon trails off as he mulls over it. ]

But if you just call out Superboy, I'll hear you and find you.
