july catch-all (open)!
who: Steve Rogers and You. (OTA).
what: July catch-all.
when: All throughout July!
where: All over the place.
warnings: Mentions of sadness and feeling displaced. Will edit this as needed.
A. THE GREAT OUTDOORS.
[ There were a lot of reasons Steve preferred to be outdoors than inside but one of the main ones happened to be because he breathed easier. He felt less closed in and trapped, something that always brought back too many fouler memories. So, he can often be found hiking around and exploring everything possible. He can also be found camping and maybe even cloud watching. The latter reminding him of the simpler times of his childhood.
Plenty of nostalgia. ]
B. NEVER BACK DOWN.
[ With the gym being practically a second home, Steve can be found there often enough. Punching and kicking at the sandbags, running on the treadmills and sparring with anyone who feels up to the task. Maybe even a few secret yoga classes. But hey flexibility is important and hot yoga is something else. ]
C. NETWORK.
[ Given his past few years in the more modern era Steve knew of technology but generally preferred to not really use it, unless it had to do with art. He loved the drawing tablets and how he could make things appear 3D with the printer thing Tony set up for him before things went quickly downhill.
Always such troubling thoughts. Pushing it aside, he grabbed for the current device in his possession and with only a slight look of distaste, he fired it up to connect with the network. He needed to make an introduction and not isolate himself as much as he did the last time he wound up in some unknown place. ]
Is this -- okay, yes, it appears on and working. Hey there, I'm Steve Rogers and -- new here. [ Not at all awkward in the least bit. ] If anyone needs help with anything, I'd be happy to lend a hand. I can lift really heavy things. [ Seriously? ]
I'm looking for a couple of running partners. I can warn that I run really early but I'm gladly spring for breakfast afterwards.
D. WILDCARD.
[ catch steve exploring around and feel free to throw whatever scenarios my way. if anyone wants to discuss or wants a starter, catch me at
snowflakecrowns.
a few possibilities - grocery shopping, watching films, early morning jogs, so not looking for danger, getting a drink. and so on. ]

Really? That's what you think is going to solve all of our problems?
[How very Steve of him. To just decide there was a right answer to everything.]
no subject
I didn't say it would solve all of our problems but it would sure help us coexistence better. We're always so hyper-aware and that's because we haven't really - there are a lot of things we haven't talked about. A lot of things that we haven't dealt with - not together or individually.
[ While he never wanted to actively pursue his issues or deal with them, he still knew he had them. ]
no subject
We don't trust each other. [Might as well be blunt about it.] Well, mostly you don't trust me, but the point stands. You really think we can fix that?
no subject
Talking and trying to be open with each other will help that. It isn't just about - you didn't believe in me, Tony. That hurt worse than any of the other parts of it.
[ He looked down for a moment. ]
I always thought you'd get it - understand and when I realized you didn't, well, it really hurt.
But yeah, I think we can. We just got to start from the ground up again. I don't want to give up or not try. Do you?
no subject
[Okay maybe their communications problems were worse than he even knew. It made Tony shift a little uncomfortably, and then finally shrug.]
I wouldn't be here if I didn't.
no subject
The Accords. If we all opposed it, they might have given time for stipulations. We could have worked on that together but you just accepted their side.
[ Falling silent, he gave a jerky nod of his head. ]
no subject
Let me ask you something. [It was quiet, but even.] And I mean this sincerely, I'm not trying to make a dig.
But what did you think would happen? After you said no.
no subject
[ He let out a sigh, looking off in the distance but not really seeing anything. ]
With your influence, Tony, it would have been easier to make happen. It could have been held by Stark Industries and turned all around to be a humanitarian effort to make the world safer for all - those super powered or not.
no subject
Yeah. That's what it was supposed to be.
[But Tony had panicked and jumped the gun and Steve had panicked and bulldozed through everything and here they were.]
Not that it matters now, I guess.
