Life of an Adventurer
who: Link
bluechampion and YOU
what: Link's bumming around the city, asking forsidequests odd jobs to earn a bit of money while exploring the city. Feel free to bump into him.
when: A day or so after the celebrations die down. He'll be out and about all day and probably most of the night if he finds anything interesting.
where: All over the city
warnings: None
While it was only natural for people to want to take some time to rest up after such boisterous celebrations, Link found himself waking up bright and early like he always did, full of energy and restlessness. He took care not to wake his roommates and quietly geared up and slipped out of the commons.
His first day out was uneventful so far. There were cleaning crews out and about the first day after the celebrations had ended to get the city back to proper order. Link offered to help out if only to give him something to do and was surprised at the strange looks he was given by the workers. Was it not normal for people to offer help like that somehow?
The city slowly became more lively as the sun rose higher. Link mostly kept to himself, though he kept an active eye out for anyone who looked like they might have time to spare to chat or if they might need assistance with anything. Otherwise he strolled along, interested in seeing how everything was normally and checking out anything he found interesting.
i. Morning
Maybe your character is a morning person. Maybe not. Either way, it's certainly possible for them to run into a very curious teenaged boy who's both visibly armed and a little too interested in what they might be up to. Sorry if you haven't had your coffee yet.
ii. Afternoon
On your lunch break? Taking a stroll down the street for some ice cream to beat the heat? Maybe just running some errands? (Link can help you with that by the way.) You might have someone tagging along with you. He has only the best intentions, I promise.
iii. Evening/Night
Link's never seen a night life like this. For those going out on the town, it's very possible you might be accosted by someone who looks just a tad too young for most attractions that come alive at this time of night.

"What's it like where you're from?" She inquired curiously, knocking on the door for the next customer.

"Something from home?" This was the second time someone had mentioned that things were somehow sent to them from their home worlds. It sounded fishy to him. If the guys in charge could manipulate the portal for such things, then why couldn't they return to their home worlds whenever they wanted?
The knock on the door and Marinette's question brought Link back out of his troubled thoughts. "It's a lot different from this place," he started. But then the door was quickly answered, so he paused until the transaction was complete and the customer closed the door. "There aren't any big cities, just pockets of settlements here and there. The monsters make it hard for a lot of people to travel, but some manage ok." He glanced at Marinette. "How about your world?"
no subject
"Kind of the opposite." She answered after completing the next transaction and leading him along to the next house. She counted out the money she was given and handed him half, "There are loads of cities, busy nightlife, even other countries. It can be pretty crowded at times, but I still miss it. I mean, it -is- my home." She Linka obviously missed his home too. She quickly changed the topic, "We don't have... 'monsters' exactly. But there is a ..supervillain of sorts. He's targeted some of my classmates before - well, I say targeted, but it was bad luck being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Fortunately we have a pair of superheroes that protect our city from him."

Link tilted his head as he listened to Marinette describe her world. He wasn't sure what made someone a supervillain or hero, but it peaked his interest all the same. "That sounds pretty exciting. I'd like to meet those superheroes. You don't think they're here too, do you?"

Sorry for taking so long
"I guess this blog isn't available here. I wish I could see it!" This 'blog' thing reminded Link of the Rumor Mill. "There's an adventurer in Hyrule that does something kind of like a blog, I think. She writes about little secrets that you can find across Hyrule."
It's not a problem :D
"If my friend Alya was here, you'd see it all the time," Marinette remarked, smiling a little wistfully. Though she perked up when he mentioned about the Rumor Mill, "Really? That does sound a lot like Alya's blog." Her bestie was a little too obsessed with Ladybug sometimes, but she had it well in hand. Glancing at her basket, Marinette smiled, "Good, plenty left over. Just one more stop to make and we're done," she told Link, motioning at a house up a the hill.

He followed Marinette up the hill and waited as before. He couldn't help but wonder what he was going to do for the rest of the day.
XD
She took a little longer with her customer this third time, if only because they were elderly and took a very (almost agonizingly) long time counting out the money owed, even making Marinette wait a little long for something else before they were able to conclude the exchange. When Marinette rejoined Link, she looked rather bemused, "Sorry about that. I think they were lonely, they were pretty chatty and.. uh. He gave me candy." She paused, holding up a sticky ball of what is assumed to be candy. "I'm.. not sure this is still good though." Either that or it melted into a misshapen blob of assorted candies from the heat. "I didn't have the heart to turn him down." Ahaha, she's.. not going to eat it though. She'll have to dispose of it later... if she can get it to destock from her hand that is.

Link had started to fidget a bit during the exchange with the elderly customer and was glad to see the door finally close. He gave the 'candy' she held up a grossed-out look. It reminded him of his dubious cooking experiments he had accidentally concocted back in Hyrule. "I think I wouldv'e done the same." He looked thoughtful for a moment, trying to think of some use for the blob, but couldn't think of anything other than maybe using it for bait for monsters or something. It was probably best just to toss it.
"What now?"

"I don't know. I was just out to find my way around when I bumped into you. If there's a place you like around here I'm open to suggestions."
He then took a big bite from the muffin. It was delicious. He'd have to do his best to restrain himself to make these last as long as he could.

"Are you sure? You've given me a lot already." Not that he was complaining. He was very happy to have those muffins.
