[Open] Haven't seen the best of us yet~
who: Red Robin or Tim Drake-Wayne and You.
what: General open post and a few promised closed starters
when: 19th - 30th
where: All over!
warnings: No content warnings yet. Spoilers for DC Rebirth.
Red Robin:
There's a new vigilante running a nighttime patrol of the city. He's caped, decked out in red and green light armor He doesn't seem to have special abilities because he uses gear to swing between vantage points and rooftops. He does, however, appear to be highly trained and adept at disappearing into the shadows despite his uniform's coloring, which makes it difficult to watch him beyond a stray glance if you're not superhuman or equally trained.
If you're quick and careful you might catch him on a computer built into the armor of his forearm, sitting on the ledge of a rooftop. Riverview, even taking the monsters into account, is much more peaceful than his home. The police aren't corrupt, they do their jobs and it leaves a significantly lesser need for vigilantism. Red Robin knows this is the ideal. The whole goal of their mission is to make themselves unnecessary. He just didn't bank on how boring it might end up.
University:
There's a new student around campus who may be inciting some whispers. He's got over a full course load at six classes, but he isn't showing any of the usual symptoms of overworked stress over achieving students have been known to. He's a freshman with a load of programming and engineering courses at as high of a level as he could get into without pre-requisite. Tim had grabbed as many as he could, to keep busy, but also because he wanted to learn as much as he could about this world's technologies and how to better work with them with his job. If he was working for the guard, he didn't want lives to depend on work he didn't understand.
He can be found coming out of a class or studying in the library, even going through the stacks or computer accessible files for more about the city and the moon itself. If you've met Tim before and you see him now, there's a marked change. He's still tired, and worn, but he's not the bland polite teenager he usual is in public. He looks enthused, and possibly even happy.
Open/Wild Card/TDM Prompts:
If you live on Floor 12, work with the Perimeter Guard, or just want to meet Tim and the above situations don't work, ping me

[Closed for Wall Research & Development]
He'd never had to prove himself to an entire group of strangers as Tim Drake rather than Robin, or Red Robin. He's never had to serve as someone's assistant. He's got plans, the ideas from speaking with Bucky were the least of them, but he hoped they would be enough to earn the respect of his co-workers and not end up fetching coffee. He approached the door and used the access he'd been provided with to enter cautiously.
"Good afternoon? I'm Tim Drake-Wayne."
[Closed for Cisco Ramon]
So, Tim focused on an extra-curricular activity of sorts. Eventually, something would come along and require a massive network of people to solve. It was just the way the world worked where he was from. There was an ever escalating scale of danger. He wanted to be prepared if life held true with the same lemons in the Quarantine. Hence, his trip to see Cisco Ramon. He was starting with all the allies he could find from home. Hopefully, once he'd made contact with all of them they could find people they mutually trusted to begin expanding the network with.
Tim knocks politely and waits to see if Cisco is in his lab.
no subject
So when he hears a knock at the door, it's a surprise, but not a shock. Cisco pushes his safety goggles up onto his head and comes to the door to see who is there. It's not a face he recognizes, but he still greets Tim with a grin and says: ]
Hey, sup?
[ Formal and businesslike manners are not exactly Cisco's strong suit. ]
no subject
Hey, you're Cisco Ramon? I'm Tim. I was speaking to you anonymously about some work you've done with Barry Allen?
no subject
You're the vigilante?
[ It's only half a question. He'd only had one anonymous conversation that Tim could be referring to. A tiny furrow forms between Cisco's brows as he glances Tim over quickly. ]
No offense, but you seem kinda... young.
[ Sure, Thea isn't much older than this kid must be, but she wasn't working alone. She had a very scary very experienced big brother looking out for her while she was out keeping the city safe. ]
no subject
I'm a vigilante.
{His teeth flash in a sharp grin that's gone just as quick as it appears.}
Gotham picks us young.
{And while Tim works alone a lot more often than most of the heroes his age, he's not always alone, and he's almost always in reach of back-up nowadays with the ever expanding network of allies they've built.}
no subject
Gotham, huh?
[ Cisco's never been; he knows it's a rough city, though. As far as he knows, there aren't any vigilantes (of the masked variety, anyway) in Gotham. And that's the sort of thing that Cisco keeps tabs on, even in far-away cities he's never been to. Never know when it could become relevant. ]
Candy? [ He offers the container to Tim, to take some if he wants, and as he's holding it out, asks: ] So how do you know Barry Allen's the Flash?
[ Yeah, he caught that. When they'd been talking on the network, all Cisco had said was that he knows the Flash. It was Tim who'd come to the door and dropped Barry's secret identity. It's not the first time Cisco's met someone here who knows who the Flash is, but it's still weird and unnerving when it happens. ]
And how'd you know I know him?
no subject
He takes a piece of candy and the seat in the chair. He sits comfortably, but doesn't sprawl. There's a rigidity to his spine.}
Thanks. Because he's a founding member of the Justice League, and my former partner was also a founding member. Most of the founding members are known to the other capes.
{Tim shrugs, he's very careful about giving out the information Cisco's asking for without telling much about himself.}
Detective work. You're from Central. You worked for Star Labs. Central is the Flash family stomping ground, even if you hadn't worked closely with a Flash, you'd probably met one.
no subject
We haven't got a Justice League where I'm from. Or, at least, not yet.
[ Since that other Flash had mentioned the Justice League the first time, Cisco had remembered something. He doesn't even know how his brain had managed to dig it up, but back in the time vault, when Gideon had been talking about Barry's future, as director of the forensics division, she'd started to say something else. She'd said he was the founding member of... something. They'd cut her off before she could finish, and he wishes they hadn't.
But it makes sense. A future where there's a kind of Ocean's Eleven of superheroes, and Barry helps to found it. ]
Okay, yeah. Liiiiiittle stalker-y you know where I worked back home, but I'ma let it slide, because you're right.
[ Unlike Barry's secret identity, Cisco's affiliation with the Flash isn't something he's working too hard to keep hush hush here. He has other, more important secrets to keep. He doesn't mind if he lets that one go. ]
So... you know all this stuff about me, but I don't know anything about you. Except you're... Tim the- sorry, Tim a vigilante from Gotham, and you're thinking about keeping that up here, too.
I'm sorry I couldn't help myself :>
No apologies~ I've been waiting for this
He bides his time and then eventually lightly lands on a building just overlooking her own touch down spot. "Good evening." He says politely. There was no need to assume there was reason to start a fight. This wasn't Gotham and he wasn't chasing her out of Bat territory.
Aww yeahh :D
no subject
"Definitely not. There's a handful of us around, I think."
no subject
"That's good to know. If something big goes down, we can all coordinate and work together to keep people safe." Assumey much? Well she doesn't see any reason why people wouldn't want to work together. She offers a hand to shake, "I'm Ladybug."
no subject
"Yeah, I'm working up a panic button of sorts to give out if you'll carry one to alert others." He shakes her hand with his own, heavy in its gauntlet. "Red Robin."
no subject
"You said there were other ...e.r.. crime fighters here right? You haven't come across a blonde guy in a black catsuit that goes by the name of Cat Noir, have you? ... It's a long shot, since I'm sure he'd be looking for me first thing, but he's my partner.

When she saw Tim, she waved with a little smirk. She remembered him, and that weird gift she got given, the conversation was a little fuzzy. Probably nothing important in it. Her hair was a nice simple white, and her clothes were decidedly different from the cute and fashionable Lola. If he came over she wouldn't mind the company, she thought. If he didn't, well, his loss.
[ red robin ]
Boo.
no subject
Was that necessary?
{It was a scare, meant to startle and instigate, not an attack, so Tim doesn't press forward or draw a weapon.}
no subject
Yes, actually. You were asking for it, brooding on rooftops.
no subject
Which doesn't mean he won't try if he needs to.}
I wasn't brooding.
{He's smiling below the domino mask, almost laughing. If this guy thought that was brooding....well, it was unlikely he'd seen Nightwing in a sulk, and definitely not Batman even on a good day.}
no subject
Well, you certainly weren't being open. Is this a normal way to spend your time?
no subject
It's a lot busier at home. Lots of murder and mayhem to deter and shut down.
no subject
So this is you trying to feel validated in a world that needs no heroes?
[ Typical. ]

[ Clark's needed more in the forest to deal with any large or fast monsters. He prefers it there, as there's less sensory information to deal with.
He does come out to the city now and then, to be polite to the others around. He tries to make friends with whoever's around.
He didn't notice someone in the shadows, just Tim's familiar heartbeat. Clark drifts down towards him, cape fluttering slowly in the wind. ]
Slow night?
