[Even with being told to look for a non-human individual, and his own experience with animal-human hybrids... He wasn't expecting what he found. Not that it mattered at all to him, but this place was pretty constantly surprising him. He waves as he gets closer.]

[He takes a look around, hoping to spot a perimeter guard to ask about housing, but it looks like they might have all decided to avoid the area for now.]

["Lost" isn't merely restricted to being unable to find a place, but daydreaming, thinking, etc. Garrus doesn't say it mostly because he's more interested in getting to wherever they are going to be heading.

He feels like he hasn't slept in a long time.]

Garrus Vakarian, by the way. [Since there were no introductions.] It's not like we're on a timetable either.

Oh. Right. Badou Nails. I'd normally say it's nice to meet you but, well... This isn't really the best situation to meet people in.

That's a fair point. But I have no idea when it'll be dark, or what might come out at night.

Point, but it's also not the worst.

[He has met a lot of people under unsavory conditions. Some of them have become his friends over the years. Others? Well he'd prefer to shoot them or break their limbs and then leave them to deal with their own messes. Takes all kinds to make up a galaxy, but it won't fall apart if a few blocks are taken out, right?]

Someone mentioned monsters on the other side of the wall. Going where we need to be is probably a good idea.

Yeah, that's what I've been hearing too. The people in charge seem to insist that they don't usually get inside, but... Best to be safe.

By the way, I hope you're okay with sharing a room with a bunch of strangers, because that's where all newcomers apparently get shoved.

It's been a while since I've had to share with a group of people, but I'm not uncomfortable with the idea.

[That's what being in the military and being Turian in general gets you.]

Luckily, most of the people here seem to be okay. There is at least one person that is definitely not, though.

Oh, actually, that reminds me of another thing you may not have been told yet. You'll get a month of free board in the building, but after that you're expected to get a job.

[Usually Garrus will be the judge of that. However, there's nothing wrong with taking advice from others. Suspicion is a healthy thing that keeps people from making stupid mistakes.]

Yeah, probably. His name is Giovanni, has blonde hair, usually wearing sunglasses and a suit. He's a real smug piece of work, so you'll know if you run into him. And he's also uh... A little unkillable, so don't let him goad you into a fight.

[He almost didn't say anything about Giovanni's stupid powers, but he figured what the hell. It would probably keep more people safe to be liberal with spreading that information.]

Well, that's one thing out of the way then. Apparently you can also get your name on a list of people to go back home, if you didn't get to that point in the conversation.

Unkillable? That sounds pretty far-fetched.

[Everything dies. It's just a matter of finding out how much the thing in question can take. Everything has a breaking point. Everything.]

I had gotten to that point, yeah. That's where those people and I had a bit of a disagreement.

And I know a person that came back from the dead. Literally. You'd be surprised what a guy can live through.

[And he's far from unkillable. Might be nice to think of in some situations. But really, it's neither here nor there.]
