[ Slip on your swimsuit, grab your towel, put on a pair of sunglasses, and come on over— it's time for a pool party! Maybe you were invited by Jim, Victor or Lucy— they do have a bunch of friends, after all. Well, mostly Jim. What's that? You don't know any of them? Well, that's no problem! They've made sure to tell their friends they can invite whoever they want. Friends of friends, distant acquaintances, coworkers, what have you. All are welcome! There's a sweet as hell pool in their backyard now, a new addition to the house, so it's kind of like a debut. There's music playing, a wide range of styles that go from dance music to classical rock, and there are chairs, a covered seating area, and a few extra towels near the pathway to the pool just in case you forgot to bring your own. There are a bunch of floats both in the water and along the edge of the pool for everyone to help themselves to as they wish, and in addition to that there are a number of fun pool party games you can take up— water balloon fighting, balls available for some playful water polo, and whatever other game you can come up with. Feeling hungry or thirsty? Not a problem! There are several drinks and cocktails (anything alcoholic safely kept away from kids), and a bunch of snacks and sweets. To add to that, there's a nice barbecue set up near the grassy patch next to the pool, and a supply of ribs, burgers, sausages and corn is made available throughout the party. (Oh, and there's also a tiny porg and a water-loving dog.) So what are you waiting for? Come on in and have a blast! ]

Well, you cracked that virus thing eventually, so I'm sure you'll get to the bottom of the cult. Wish could help out, but all I have is a dead body. While what we're learning is interesting to me and Harry, I doubt it's going to help you much.

[There were a lot of reasons why Alex liked Victor as much as she did, and his being encouraging was definitely one of the ones that she considered his best, honestly. Giving him a grateful smile for a minute about the compliment, Alex couldn't help but have her reporter senses pick up into a tingle when he mentioned the body. That wasn't something that Alex had heard before, and now she was entirely focused on it.]

One of the cultists bodies?

[jolting]

Yeah. One I ran across while trying to help all the kidnap victims, actually. They have multiple arms and eyes and some of the organs are in unusual places...

[He trailed off] You know what? If you're curious, you should drop by the coroner's office and ask Harry about it.

[Okay, this is Alex making both of a face of interest and also a face of ew because she does not ever want to see another body again. That said...]

Harry's a friend too, actually. Maybe I will. But I didn't know that the natives had things like that in general.

[jolting]

He's a fascinating guy, and was nice enough to let me join him on the autopsy. Like I said, I don't know if anything we discovered would be useful for you, but then I'm not a reporter.

[11calls]

I honestly wouldn't know what I'm looking for, I think. [Alex just considered for a moment, her serious face at odds with the silliness of her bathing suit and hat.]

Maybe I'll just ask Harry if there was anything weird with it. Well, more weird than extra arms and out of place organs anyway.

[jolting]

[He nods] I shouldn't be talking shop with you. This is a fun gathering. Go jump in the pool for a while or something.
