[ Slip on your swimsuit, grab your towel, put on a pair of sunglasses, and come on over— it's time for a pool party!

Maybe you were invited by Jim, Victor or Lucy— they do have a bunch of friends, after all. Well, mostly Jim. What's that? You don't know any of them? Well, that's no problem! They've made sure to tell their friends they can invite whoever they want. Friends of friends, distant acquaintances, coworkers, what have you. All are welcome!

There's a sweet as hell pool in their backyard now, a new addition to the house, so it's kind of like a debut. There's music playing, a wide range of styles that go from dance music to classical rock, and there are chairs, a covered seating area, and a few extra towels near the pathway to the pool just in case you forgot to bring your own.

There are a bunch of floats both in the water and along the edge of the pool for everyone to help themselves to as they wish, and in addition to that there are a number of fun pool party games you can take up— water balloon fighting, balls available for some playful water polo, and whatever other game you can come up with.

Feeling hungry or thirsty? Not a problem! There are several drinks and cocktails (anything alcoholic safely kept away from kids), and a bunch of snacks and sweets. To add to that, there's a nice barbecue set up near the grassy patch next to the pool, and a supply of ribs, burgers, sausages and corn is made available throughout the party.

(Oh, and there's also a tiny porg and a water-loving dog.)

So what are you waiting for? Come on in and have a blast! ]

[ Jim still tries being a little careful, so Victor isn't caught too off-guard and ends up taking in water through his nose or something. Victor's laughter is enough to ease any worries before they even arise, though. ]

Serves you right! [ He laughs too, still sticking close with Victor's arms around him. In fact he wraps his own arms around Victor's neck, leaning in for a kiss. ]

Me? You were the one trying to throw me in the water. [Though he is clearly fine with this, and kisses James back]

But now that you've got me here, what would you like to do next?

Well, you're in the water now, so I'm counting this as a win.

[ He beams happily, floating closer to Victor. ]

I don't know. We could just stay right here and do nothing. Or play a game, if you feel like it.

Hmmm. I think I'll just swim for a while.

[He turns over on his back to do just that, doing a few lazy backstrokes to propel away from James while still keeping eyes on him. He's not a great swimmer for someone who lived in a seaside town for years, but he's not terrible either]

[ He smiles while watching Victor swim away, and a few seconds later he swims lazily after him. Not quite chasing him or anything, but he does want to enjoy the pool with him, and stick close by for a while. The pool also happens to be empty right now, so he'll take full advantage of that. ]

[He makes sure to not swim so far that James can't keep up. He stops after a while to take a little break. All that working out at the gym has helped him a lot lately: he's not too out of breath]

James, do you think we can do this in anti-gravity sometime? It's something I've always wanted to do.

[ Jim chuckles, moving closer to Victor in languid strokes. They've gotten closer to one of the edges of the pool, and he backs the doctor up against the wall, crowding his space a little, holding onto the edge with both hands next to each side of Victor's head. ]

We can do whatever you want, baby. [ He smiles playfully when he uses that term of endearment, winking at him. ]

[He smirks back, his eyes alight at James’s closeness. He slides his fingers along the other man’s arms]

Good. You do still have to fly me to the moon, after all. Or wherever. You know what I mean.

Let's make it our next month's adventure, then. [ He smiles brightly, sliding closer to steal a slow kiss from Victor's lips. ]

We could even make it a weekend thing. Spend the night up there, among the stars, no one else around... we could do whatever we want. [ And yes, he does mean that in a lot of ways— sex included. ] What do you say?

[He purrs a little at the kiss, leaning into James while he returns it]

You know I love our adventures. And the way you keep saying “whatever we want” appeals to the defiant rebel in me.

[ Jim laughs, one hand leaving the edge of the pool so he can brush his fingers through Victor's wet hair. ]

Mm, yeah, you're a total rebel. I think I might have to get you some hair gel and a leather jacket for Christmas and everything.

[Victor wrinkles his nose and gives James a poke in the chest]

You sure you wouldn't rather have that stuff for yourself?

[ Jim snorts, but then offers a vague shrug. ]

Does it matter? Couples share everything— or so I hear. [ A pause, ] Although I can't imagine why you'd think I would ever put gel on this amazing hair.

[Victor chuckles, running fingers through said amazing hair]

Hey, I bleached my hair for a while. People do crazy things sometimes. I might get a little crazy and go for a buzz cut next. Won't need hair gel then.

[ Jim pulled a shocked gasp, head leaning away a little. ]

If you go for a buzz cut, I swear I will shave my whole head. I'll do it!!

Well, that just makes me want to do it more. You with short hair... I'm honestly having a hard time picturing it, but I'd bet you'd still look sexy as hell.

If I had any pictures of myself back then, I'd show you.

[ Jim is not as curious as Victor, nor as convinced that he'd look, as Victor put it, 'sexy as hell'. So he's probably gonna skip on that, even if Victor does decide to cut his hair. ]

It looked alright, but I also looked more like a cocky brat.

You do realize that I was a cocky brat too, don't you? I can't say I've grown entirely out of it, either. [He shrugs, leaning in close] But why would I, when I'm a hell of a doctor?

[ Jim snorts, pinching the tip of Victor's nose. ]

Yeah, you're still cocky. That's really not attractive at all, you know?

[ Lies, he thinks it's totally attractive. ]

Oh, no, you're right. It's not at all. [He looks amused, curling his fingers into James's hair and tugging gently, sneaking a kiss]

Stop that. [ He gasps a little, leaning closer even as he reaches for Victor's wrist. He returns the kiss with a light nibble to Victor's lips, eyes narrowing slightly. ] I'm so going to make you pay for that later tonight.

[ Victor knows very well how Jim feels when he plays with his hair like that, after all. ]

[Yes. Yes he does, and he smirks mischievously at James. They really are gross in public]

Well, for right now, I think it's my turn to stare at your ass while you man the grill.

[ They're not strictly in public right now, at least. Plus, there aren't any people nearby to see them being gross in the pool. Jim doesn't linger close too long anyway— this is hardly the time or place to be teasing each other relentlessly. ]

Bet you love my cute ass in these tiny shorts. [ He winks with a grin, pushing off and swimming towards the stars so he can step out of the pool. He's dripping wet so Victor likely will enjoy the view when he puts on his tank top and it gets soaked through and sticks to his skin instantly. ]

Obviously. Isn't that why you're wearing them?

[He knows he wore more form-fitting swimming trunks so James could have an easier time checking out his ass.

And Victor's eyes are more than happy to sweep over James's body. He rests on the edge, content to stare and tread water for a bit. Dunking his head under wouldn't help much in cooling off with that image. Eventually he gets out and settles on a chair with a good angle]

[ Jim heads to the barbecue in the meantime, donning the apron this time around and getting ready to grill a few more sausages and ribs. A couple of people gather and by the time Victor takes a seat nearby, Jim's distributing some food around.

He also serves a bit onto a plate and takes it to Victor, offering it to him with a wink. ] Here. You'll need the strength, for... later.

[ Yep he's just going to keep being a tease for the rest of the day, Victor will have to live with that. ]
