Oh— come on, [ He laughs, swatting a hand lightly at him. ] Now I don't know if I want a whole life with you, if you're gonna keep making lame jokes like that.

[ He does like Victor’s sense of humor, terrible jokes and all. ]
Mm, you could... sing to me. Or recite me a poem. Some kind of romantic gesture like that.
no subject
Which he very well might drag James into, though he still keeps them close enough to hear the words]

I don't know that one, [ He speaks quietly once Victor finishes, looking up and kissing him slowly. ] I love it.
no subject
[He cups the other man's face in his hands to return the kiss, letting their noses brush before pulling away. His fingers slid down, gently scratching the back of James's neck before going down farther and looping around his hips]
I'm curious: did you have a planned end to the evening?
no subject
Not really. Thought we could dance a little, maybe order some food here if we were hungry, set up an impromptu romantic picnic out here... Nothing beyond that. [ Raising an eyebrow. ] Why? Got any ideas?

While we're waiting, want to pick out constellations? [Stargazing is a pretty standard romantic moment, but why mess with a classic?]

[ Still, he shifts on the seat, lying down with his head resting on Victor's lap. This way he can get a nice view of the night sky— as well as the doctor himself, of course. ]

Mmm, those look like... a fish. And there— a boat? What can you see?
no subject
Hm. Yeah, I see the boat, too. And that could be a deer or a horse.
no subject
Definitely a deer. You can see the antlers.

[ His arm leans to the side, fingers brushing down Victor's nose, then across his lips. ] You're cute.
no subject
[His smile warms, his own fingers weaving through James's hair. Not so worried about messing up the style anymore]
You're not so bad yourself, captain.
no subject
Yes, I know.
[ Winking at Victor, he reaches for the doctor's hand, threading their fingers together. ]
no subject
I don't suppose you brought a blanket or something, did you?
no subject
[ He sits up, stealing a quick peck from Victor's lips before he heads back inside to retrieve a nice warm blanket, large enough for the both of them. ]
no subject
You do the toast this time.
no subject
I'll toast to... improbabilities. And multidimensional wormholes.
no subject
Wow. You are such a nerd. I love it. [He clicks their glasses together and takes a sip]
no subject
What? They're both things that brought me to you. Or you to me, whatever.
[ After clinking their glasses together he takes a sip, setting the glass down on a smooth rock nearby so he won't knock it down while they eat. ]
