MAY 12TH (closed to Osomatsu and/or Ichimatsu)
Anyway, he's jarred from his sleep, sweating and running a huge fever. It's in the dead middle of the night and going into morning when he rolls over and shakes one of his brothers. This was bad-- he was going to sleep out on the couch the next night for sure. ]
O-oi, wake up, I don't feel so good.
[ He shouldn't feel the need to tell one of them this, but he's feeling extra needy. ]

he's shaken, his head flopping back and forth while he sports a porcupine bedhead. and he reaches up to grab Karamatsu's wrists.
he was going to scold him, but the moment he feels those clammy wrists, he freaks out]
Gross, dude! You're all wet!
no subject
[ An instant apology as soon as he is taken by the wrists, a worried expression crossing his flushed face. Man, he's burning up. He was nothing like this when they all settled down to rest! ]
What if.. my soul is on its melancholic way out of my wretched body? Oh Death, I am ready for your eager embrace...
[ whyyyyy gooooooddddd ]

[This, of course, meant absolutely nothing when it came to being roused from sleep by a damp sweaty sick blob vaguely resembling Karamatsu. He grumbled, curling away from him until the shaking became too incessant to ignore, sitting up and rubbing his face.]
So? You're a grown-ass man, what do you want me to do about it...?
[All right, so he really hadn't made much progress when it came to putting up with Karamatsu in the mornings.]
no subject
I-I don't know.. it feels very unnatural.. I didn't feel this sick when I went to bed!
[ then, very casually but inquisitively: ]
Ichimatsu, am I dying?
no subject
...eugh, you're all sweaty. It's just a fever, there's medicine in the cabinet in the bathroom, take some of that and maybe a cold shower. Can I go back to sleep now?
[He smacks one knuckle against his forehead before curling away again, cringing as he wipes the sweat off his hand.] And no, you're not dying. You're being dramatic.

MAY 18TH (OTA)
He's been sleeping on the sofa as his sickness worsens, refusing to be hospitalized for the time being. As of now, he's using one of Ichimatsu's masks over his face to attempt prevention from spreading to anyone. He's sitting across someone on the other side of the kotatsu they have, enjoying a simple lunch of rice and yakitori chicken. ]
Ah, I suppose it cannot be helped.. I wish someone would at least try harder for a cure.
[ Who knew that in a matter of moments he would be experiencing the virus attacking his brain even more and rid him of eye sight until he falls into his coma. ]
MAY 20TH (OTA)
An automatic nervous habit for him to do is to brush or comb his hair when he's taking a break and he goes for his comb in his back pocket but realizes.. ]
O-oh, right.. I will not be able to see my beautiful face!
[ TRAGIC. ]
MAY 22ND (closed to Osomatsu and Ichimatsu)
Now, which one is going to be the one who discovers this? Maybe you both should, cause I can't really write anything after this starter. ]
i actually meant to tag this when you first put up the log also now niisan can tag it too
[It was three days before their birthday, he realized, wandering out to the couch where Karamatsu had swaddled himself in half the house's blankets with two mugs of tea and a fresh cloth mask for the older-- he had no fucking idea how to use them, and how to change them out every day so he didn't just continue to breathe in his own bacteria. He sat down on the couch beside him, figuring him asleep, and reached out to pull the old mask off him and replace it. Usually, he'd have assumed this action would wake his brother up, but Karamatsu didn't even shift. Old mask off and tossed aside, he put the new one on, and then tugged on his earlobe.]
Hey. Hey, I said.
[Tug. Tug, tug tug. He switches to the other earlobe, and then sits back on the couch to stare in alarm at him. People were saying the sickness tended to end in a comatose state--]
[He all but threw the mugs of tea on the coffee table and staggered toward the doorway.]
Osomatsu--!!
no subject
but he dreaded what was to come, knowing, eventually, the other two would fall into that same coma. and he would probably have to take care of them.
he's in the bedroom right next to the living room, typing away on his tablet, telling people that he's well enough to go outside, but probably not ready to go back to work yet. he has to watch the brood. then he hears Ichimatsu, and he sounds distressed. Osomatsu jumps up, and over to the doorway]
What's wrong?
no subject
[He finally looks up after what feels like ages of trying to catch his breath, and points with a vague gesture out toward the couch.]
Kuh... Karamatsu, he won't wake up.
[He'd texted Reaper, remembering that he had made specific mention of this illness because it was based around nanites, and kept anxiously checking his
phonetablet.](no subject)

May 24 open to anyone
currently only one Matsu is awake on this day. having gotten over his weird virus a few days ago, Osomatsu now sits alone in their dwelling, making sure his brothers are comfortable. his coma lasted one day, 24 hours, so he figured that Karamatsu and Ichimatsu would suffer the same fate.
but they'd been out for days, and Osomatsu's seriously worried. he's wondering if he should take them to a hospital, but eventually decides against it, because he figures the hospitals are probably full of people.
so, here he is, sitting on the couch alone, while his comatose brothers have been moved to the bedroom. he's been playing on his tablet, checking in with work, texting people like Lyle and Aoba and possibly Reaper to let them know what is going on. he texted Gintoki too, only to get a message fired back saying that the user is no longer available. what?? Chibita and Gintoki are gone, too?
what a horrible 25th birthday!]

I'm back~
[ It's just the sort of thing one might say to a roommate, but that's definitely not the case. He's just been trying to make a habit of dropping in to check on them ever since illness struck. That, and well, when his Coil lit up with a message from Osomatsu, Aoba was eager to respond. Whether there's an answer or none at all, Aoba will enter further into the home and start to unpack his burden in the kitchen. Various pre-made meals, a thermos of curry and some of milder soup. Comfort food. And, of course, a few other small boxes that are less utilitarian in nature, tied up with colored ribbons -- red, blue, purple.
Poking his head into the living room, Aoba sees Osomatsu awake. Awake, and looking gloomy. ]
...Hey.
[ A pause and Aoba enters the room and puts a bag down next to him as he sits at the small table, looking up at the eldest sextuplet on the couch. ]
How are you feeling?
no subject
so when he pops into the living room, Osomatsu acknowledges him. he looks up from where he's been slumped, letting out a sigh]
Lousy. [he responds, though he's not sick at all. he doesn't appear to be running a fever. he just looks depressed] I'm so lonely!
1.2
Honestly, it breaks his heart to see it. He's concerned of course for Karamatsu and Ichimatsu, one more than the other for reasons of closeness and regard but he can't imagine how hard this must be on Osomatsu right now, particularly today of all days. ]
I'm sorry. Your house seems so dark and quiet, it must be difficult for you.
2.2
I mean, you're the only brother responsible enough to wake up for his own birthday, so...
[ Leaning over, Aoba hoists up a bag containing a long gift-wrapped box with a red ribbon on it. It makes a dull thunk when he sets it on the table and pushes it in front of his face. ]
This is for you.

They're unaccompanied by the sound of their owner. In fact, if Osomatsu doesn't remember Repede at all, this might seem like a random dog from the shelter coming to visit and chasing the scent of their sickly caregiver. What does matter is this dog will gruffly bark until he is answered or shooed away.
If he is remembered, he will spend some time going in a circle, trying to unzip the satchel on his shoulder harness before out spill what almost look like candy and medicine in little wrappers. Gummy-type things, small bottles written with a foreign language that Riverview inevitably translates to 'Holy Bottle.' ]
no subject
he is hanging around inside, after his visit with Aoba. so he's pretty full and happy, slightly tipsy. and when the dog barking persists, he'll go to the window to look outside]
Huh?
[he watches the familiar-looking dog wander around in circles, watches the things spill out of the pack. then Osomatsu just... crawls out the window instead of using the door. well, he's used to using a window for an exit. he did back home]
What's all this? [he reaches down for a bottle to look at it]

!
[ It's to help Ichimatsu, who in turn helps the cheagle Repede (yes, Repede) prides himself on finding. It's all he has, but he understands it does something. ]

action!
So Lyle did what any good boyfriend would do. He put on his medical mask (because he hadn't gotten sick yet even with Tieria sick and damn if he was going to get it now!) and headed to Osomatsu's... after making a stop somewhere.
He knocked on the front door waiting for Osomatsu to answer the door]
no subject
he's completely fine, though. he's had a nice meal with Aoba and got a visit from a helpful dog, so he's far less gloomy than before.
the moment he answers the door and sees Lyle there, Osomatsu is attached to him and whining]
You caaaaame! I've been so lonely!
no subject
Of course I came. I'm glad to see you awake now.
I have something for you.
