003 🐺 Flowers, Wolves, Robots... All in the name of Fun! [OPEN]
who: Freya Vaughn & YOU!
what: April Catch-All
when: April
where: Many places.
warnings: Currently None.
1.0 - Robot Flail – April 2nd
[Freya can be found early on in the month with her cute little robot at her side. It's currently smoking and not moving with its creator bend over it, a worried expression pulled across her features.]
Come on Prom. You can do it. Don't- [Her voice cut and her expression fell.] Please don't-
[A small explosion goes off in Freya's face and she sits down on the sidewalk to wipe the soot from her eyes.] Don't do that.
Damn it. [It's a total bust.
Freya looks up and down the street before spinning around and facing her little robot. She beings tinkering with her small robotic child, pulling bits and pieces from the many pockets of her black pants. She doesn't look very concerned about sitting in the middle of the sidewalk or that Prom is still releasing thick plums of black smoke.]
2.0 - Flower Exchange: De-aging (Baby Blue Eyes) – April 4th thru April 9th
[Freya isn't sure what happened but she's twelve years old and standing in the middle of a park with a blue flower pinched between her thumb and forefinger. Her older brother is going to kill her for wandering so far from home. Freya takes a moment to let the panic wash over her and then go on its way. She can worry about details later. She's in a beautiful park with amazing trees.
There is fun to be had.
After making sure she was dressed for max acrobatics, Freya grabs a bit of rope and begins inspecting the trees. She's looking for the perfect one to hang her rope and then proceed to perform crazy stunts that only a twelve year old would think of.]
Not this tree.
[She proclaims her opinion a loud before moving on to the next tree. This one has a thick branch that's about five yards off the ground. It's perfect! Freya's smile widened as she wraps the rope around her waist and takes a few steps back from the tree. There is a momentary pause as Freya glances around the park. She then runs, sprinting up the tree to the branch that's fifteen feet off the ground.]
3.0 - I am a wolf – Around & Ed's Place
[There is at least one blessing to Freya's current situation; it isn't that strange for a pristine white wolf to be wandering around the city. People either notice that she's domesticated or they don't realize that she's a wolf and see a dog instead. It's perfect and it gives her the freedom to wander in, out and around the city on four legs.
Freya goes wherever she wants, though she sometimes follows her nose and whines at those who have food. She knows that she is adorable and she uses her adorableness without shame.
After filling up on food, she winds her way towards the park. It's a nice day, that is, it isn't raining. Freya runs in a circle a few times before she finds a particularly impressive throwing stick. Now she has to find someone willing to play fetch with her!
It takes Freya awhile to get tired but eventually she goes to her human's home to see what's for dinner and to check on Ed. She doesn't know the complete details of Ed's life but his home is losing residence and he's taking it hard. Puppy cuddles are the best solution to a pouty metal limbed boy, or, if someone else is home, she'll bother them for a few hours.]
4.0 - The Rain Sucks...w/Trolling - Around
[She really hates the rain and she hates that this moon is the rainiest moon ever.
Freya is sitting on a stoop under an awning, watching the rain drizzle from the sky. She can smell the faint aroma of freshly baked bread wafting from the bakery across the street. She balances her hunger to how much she wants to sit there and watch the water thicken at the edge of the awning, drop to the street and then be swept into the currents that took the rain towards the gutter.
There is something poetic there.
Too bad Freya wasn't much of a writer.
She pulls out her phone and begins to go through the Friendr app. If she sees someone passing by she might be tempted to look up their Friendr and send them creepy messages like 'I see you' or 'You want to buy the girl sitting on the stoop a cookie'. It doesn't usually work but it is fun.]

2.0 → 3.0
She looked familiar. Ed knew Freya as a human, but in that moment he didn't exactly make the connection. He doesn't say anything, golden eyes narrowing curiously from the doorway to the kitchen. He had made that space for Laura with the arcade games, but if this girl had been invited there she'd gotten lost on the way or wandered further than she should have. Giving a bunch of kids access to one room that wasn't connected to his house was one thing, but finding a complete stranger inside? That was something else entirely.
"You looking for someone?"
2.0 → 3.0
'This place smells like me.' The words echoed through her head as she looked up at Ed. He didn't look familiar but she could smell herself on him too.
"Do I live here? I can't find where I live." There were too many locations that held her scent.

He frowned when Freya stopped at the blanket, knowing Misty was the only pet in the house that seemed to come and go as she pleased. Carefully, he watched her for a reaction as he answered. "Not unless you're some kind of shapeshifter." Would a kid her age transform into a full grown wolf? It wasn't something he was exactly an expert on. If she said that she was he'd start asking questions, but he was more or less expecting her to call such a suggestion ridiculous.

"I can show you what I'm supposed to look like."
She didn't pause before she started to strip off her clothes.
no subject
"Woah, woah! Wait a minute. I don't think you're supposed to just do that in front of people." The stripping more than the shape changing, but he wasn't sure about either at this point. His gaze remained pointedly on her face, because she's a child, taking off her clothes in front of him, and none of that sounded like a good combination.
After a breath, when his brain finally caught up to the rest of him, Edward turned to face away from her, pointedly not looking at her. Luckily no one else really lived there to show up out of nowhere uninvited anymore. Not that it really made him any less nervous over the whole situation. "Shouldn't you... do that in the bathroom, or something?" Somewhere private, maybe?
no subject
"It's easier to show you." She sounded a little deflated, as if he wasn't as excited as she was. Notics was better, he wanted to see Freya turn into a wolf.
She paused and blinked.
"Why would I do it in a bathroom. I can't open doors." As an adult wolf, she's figured it out but as a baby Freya was all but useless against doors. "Just face that way-" It was the perfect solution and, before Ed could stop her, she finished tossing her pants and shirt to the side and shifted. Her skin glittered and stretched as she knelt to the ground. Her paws pressed against the carpet and in seconds there was a small snowy white wolf who looked more like a ball of fluff.
Freya barked out a strange sounding growl as she leaped forward and tugged at the hem of Ed's pants.
ITS PLAY TIME!

He rolled his eyes, even if she couldn't see it with his back to her, arms folding across his chest with a slight scowl. "I could open the door-" Not that it was important now, interrupted mid-thought by the bark and tugging sensation on his leg.
"Hey!" The tone was more surprised than upset as he turned, leaning down to scoop her up if only to stop her from doing that anymore. "I didn't say you could ruin my pants." He does smile though, and now that he wasn't trying to avoid looking at her so hard, he did notice something else.
Those eyes. The same eyes as- "Misty?" She wouldn't remember the name, not if she was a kid when she's normally an adult but that doesn't stop him from blurting it out in surprise. An eyebrow quirked in confusion, "I guess you do live here..." This whole thing was weird.

Freya's arms and legs wiggle in the air as Ed lifts her off the ground. She isn't very light but she's easy enough to pick up. A paw bats at his arm while her tail wags happily behind her. Her claws are retracted, making each playful attack feel like a soft warm pillowy strike. Another yelp echoes from her throat as she pushed her head forward to lick Ed's face.
She's a very energetic puppy.
Freya didn't recognize the name but he said she lived here! Ed smelled even more like her when she was in this form and, with a little too much energy, she wiggled out from Ed's hands and launched herself at him in an attempt to play.

Ed had been treating Freya like a dog, which meant doing things one wouldn't normally do around other people. He'd really let his guard down in front of her, and although she didn't remember it now when this whole stupid festival was over she would. It didn't matter to her, she already knew that she could understand him, but for him that changed things. It also made him wonder why she shared in his discomfort with rain, but he could always figure that out later.
It took him a moment to recover but when he did he just grinned at her, moving to grab some toys to pick from. "All right, which one?" There were balls, frisbees, antlers, sticks - Ed made sure she had plenty of choice even before realizing she had human intelligence because he'd already picked up on the fact that she was smarter than most animals in the house.

She ran over to the ball, capturing the soft sphere in her jaw and then running in a short circle. After a second or two she paused, stared at Ed and then dropped the ball and went running towards the Frisbee. This gaze her a little bit of trouble. The Frisbee continued to try and fit its way longways into her mouth which physically didn't fit. With a disgruntled snort she clapped her jaw around an antler and ran up to Ed.
Freya wiggled the toy in front of Ed to see if he'd grab it and attempt to wrestle it from the tight hold of her jaw. She wanted him to try but fail and walk off triumphantly with the antler as her prize.

Ed smirked when she waved the antler around in front of him before reaching with his right hand to swipe for it. He may not grasp it the first time, but that doesn't deter him from grabbing for it again and catching it in his fingers to tug the wolf pup toward himself. She was a wolf, but she was still a puppy so he didn't want to over do it with the rough housing and kept the pull light and easy for her to drag back from.
For all the protest he put into dealing with the fact that Freya had been standing before him as a little girl, he seemed to have forgotten all about that in the midst of the play fight, grinning as he relaxed his grip just enough to give her the upper hand before offering a firm tug again.

Her talents had always been geared towards her small size and speed. She could pull back quickly, watching as Ed's fingers missed the antler, and run but where was the fun in that? No, she wanted him to catch her and to fight her for dominance over the toy.
When he finally grasped the antler, Freya snarled. It wasn't an aggressive growl but a playful one that rumbled through her small chest. She tugged at the toy, wipping her head to the side in an effort to loosen his grip. Ed didn't seem to want to let go so she stepped towards him, hoping the change in direction would catch him off guard and cause him to drop the toy.
If that failed she could always jump on him. That was always fun.
All of her motions were dog like though with the mental capabilities of a husky over that of a golden retriever.

When she moved closer the slack was enough that he shifted to sit on the floor instead, resting his back against the edge of the sofa there as he watched her expectantly, prepared to release the antler if she tugged hard enough.
no subject
Her jaw opened and she headbutted his chest. She was quick to grab the antler again but had a little trouble finding the ground: two feet were firmly planted on Ed's chest, one was balanced on his thigh but her final leg was leaning on air and falling. Freya stumbled to his left, her jaw clamping down on the antler as she twisted up to her feet and pulled.
It wasn't graceful but it was a hard tug backwards in an attempt to pull the antler from Ed's hand.
She remembered playing tug of war with her brother but he had never let her win. In fact, he usually taunted her with their toys when he was able to pull them from her jaw. That was when she had started running. He was never able to catch up to her, as long as she got the toy first, she won the game.
