003 🐺 Flowers, Wolves, Robots... All in the name of Fun! [OPEN]
who: Freya Vaughn & YOU!
what: April Catch-All
when: April
where: Many places.
warnings: Currently None.
1.0 - Robot Flail – April 2nd
[Freya can be found early on in the month with her cute little robot at her side. It's currently smoking and not moving with its creator bend over it, a worried expression pulled across her features.]
Come on Prom. You can do it. Don't- [Her voice cut and her expression fell.] Please don't-
[A small explosion goes off in Freya's face and she sits down on the sidewalk to wipe the soot from her eyes.] Don't do that.
Damn it. [It's a total bust.
Freya looks up and down the street before spinning around and facing her little robot. She beings tinkering with her small robotic child, pulling bits and pieces from the many pockets of her black pants. She doesn't look very concerned about sitting in the middle of the sidewalk or that Prom is still releasing thick plums of black smoke.]
2.0 - Flower Exchange: De-aging (Baby Blue Eyes) – April 4th thru April 9th
[Freya isn't sure what happened but she's twelve years old and standing in the middle of a park with a blue flower pinched between her thumb and forefinger. Her older brother is going to kill her for wandering so far from home. Freya takes a moment to let the panic wash over her and then go on its way. She can worry about details later. She's in a beautiful park with amazing trees.
There is fun to be had.
After making sure she was dressed for max acrobatics, Freya grabs a bit of rope and begins inspecting the trees. She's looking for the perfect one to hang her rope and then proceed to perform crazy stunts that only a twelve year old would think of.]
Not this tree.
[She proclaims her opinion a loud before moving on to the next tree. This one has a thick branch that's about five yards off the ground. It's perfect! Freya's smile widened as she wraps the rope around her waist and takes a few steps back from the tree. There is a momentary pause as Freya glances around the park. She then runs, sprinting up the tree to the branch that's fifteen feet off the ground.]
3.0 - I am a wolf – Around & Ed's Place
[There is at least one blessing to Freya's current situation; it isn't that strange for a pristine white wolf to be wandering around the city. People either notice that she's domesticated or they don't realize that she's a wolf and see a dog instead. It's perfect and it gives her the freedom to wander in, out and around the city on four legs.
Freya goes wherever she wants, though she sometimes follows her nose and whines at those who have food. She knows that she is adorable and she uses her adorableness without shame.
After filling up on food, she winds her way towards the park. It's a nice day, that is, it isn't raining. Freya runs in a circle a few times before she finds a particularly impressive throwing stick. Now she has to find someone willing to play fetch with her!
It takes Freya awhile to get tired but eventually she goes to her human's home to see what's for dinner and to check on Ed. She doesn't know the complete details of Ed's life but his home is losing residence and he's taking it hard. Puppy cuddles are the best solution to a pouty metal limbed boy, or, if someone else is home, she'll bother them for a few hours.]
4.0 - The Rain Sucks...w/Trolling - Around
[She really hates the rain and she hates that this moon is the rainiest moon ever.
Freya is sitting on a stoop under an awning, watching the rain drizzle from the sky. She can smell the faint aroma of freshly baked bread wafting from the bakery across the street. She balances her hunger to how much she wants to sit there and watch the water thicken at the edge of the awning, drop to the street and then be swept into the currents that took the rain towards the gutter.
There is something poetic there.
Too bad Freya wasn't much of a writer.
She pulls out her phone and begins to go through the Friendr app. If she sees someone passing by she might be tempted to look up their Friendr and send them creepy messages like 'I see you' or 'You want to buy the girl sitting on the stoop a cookie'. It doesn't usually work but it is fun.]

[Closed] (616) STEVE - Race Date!
Plus, she's totally going to kick his ass.
The spot she found is just outside the wall. It's close enough to be safe and their path is marked by the towering wall itself. There is no way that this isn't only fair but easy to find. Freya shoots Steve a text with the location and a time before disappearing to get changed.
When she arrives she's wearing a pair of yoga paints, a light gray sports bra and her now red hair is tied up into a pony tail. She eyes Steve with a playful smile while a cocky glint shines in her stormy gray eyes.]
Let's do this!
My black backpack is the finish mark. You'll see it on the ground about two yards from the wall.
no subject
Just a straight shot?
[He looks down the path that Freya has picked out, standing relaxed as he gets a feel for the situation before committing to it. She really is going for a test of speed, just the two of them running at full speed with no turns or obstacles to see just how fast they can sprint.]
All right. On your mark.
[He smirks, getting into a running position to take off as soon as they're both ready.]
Get set.
[And he leaves that hanging for Freya to decide when they go.]
no subject
She listens to his mark and begins counting in her head. 3... 2... 1...]
GO!
[The word tears from her throat as she presses her heel into the ground and takes off. She doesn't go at full speed right away but watches Steve out of the corner of her eye. What she doesn't expect is for him to not only meet her speed but begin to run pass her.
What. The. Hell!
No, that isn't supposed to happen. Freya feels the tension in her muscles yelling at her as she pushes more force down into the ground beneath her feet. She isn't going to loose to him.]

3.0
As it was such a nice day, Roy had decided to eat lunch in the park. The air was filled with the soft scent of newly blooming flowers, and the sunshine was bright and uplifting. He sat on a bench, quietly enjoying his sandwich as he watched others enjoy the good weather by having picnics or playing games.
It was when he was almost finished that he noticed a fluffy white beast heading towards him with a large stick in its mouth. Roy looked around, expecting its owner to be nearby, but no one seemed around. The large dog wasn't wearing a collar either. He popped the rest of the sandwich in his mouth before getting up and slowly approaching. She seemed friendly enough.]
3.0
As Roy steps closer she gently presses her cold black nose against his hand, and then nudges the stick closer.
She knows him, even if he doesn't know her, and she's expecting some quality fetch time. It is the best game ever and number 1 in her all time favorite games list.]

Haro of course immediately rolled over, investigating the other robot as Lyle jogged over]
Okay? Okay?
[Yes, Haro was asking Freya if the other robot was okay]
Need a hand there?
1.0
Such as the smoking robot in front of her.]
I don't know. [She admits to Haro second before Lyle comes to stand next to her.] Maybe. [Freya doesn't sound too sure.]
I think the diode I used was bad but that wouldn't have made him explode. [She can't help but feel a little worried. Prom has become something like a son to her and she wants him to be fully operational... even if he's only a prototype.]
no subject
Hmm... it's possible that was part of it, but that probably wouldn't have triggered something to go off like that.
[He looked at the smoking robot for a second before turning back to her]
Maybe Haro can take a quick look. They are used to making repairs on ships. He might be able to see if something looks off.
[Haro flaps. Ready and willing to help!]

Her phone buzzes in her pocket.
She stares at the message, swiping her thumb across the wet screen, then looks about suspiciously for a good couple seconds before she spots Freya sitting underneath of her stoop. She approaches, fighting a grin.)
Creep.
4
It's only creepy if you don't like it and judging from that smile, I think you liiiike it.
[She flips her phone between her fingers as she leans back on her free palm. She has more or less claimed this stoop as her own. She'd rent out this seat if she knew who owned the building behind her.]
I'm also not a liar. I did see you.
no subject
I'm smiling because you're being so stupid.
(She's gonna come and sit, too.) Why are you sitting out here all alone in the rain.

03 - Around
Baby steps, they happen.
However, since he isn't much of a cook, he has to rely on the establishments to either purchase easily made food back at the barracks or complete meals at restaurants. Today, since he's out already, he's sitting at a cafe, looking strangely content with a cup of coffee and a thick book as he waits for his meal to arrive.
He looks up at the sound of claws clicking on the stone pavement and spots a bright white animal approaching his table. He considers it, but it doesn't look like it wants to attack and he's not sure if he's ready to murder someone's pet.]
You look like you're a little far from home? Who is your owner?
03 - Around
Table = Food
Cullen = Friend
The math checks out.
She grabs his attention with a soft whine that rumbles through her throat. When it looks like he's not going to hit or swat her away, she gently rests her chin on his table. Her eyes are the same soft gray as when she's human though she's hamming up her hunger.
Cullen doesn't know her in this form but he's a good guy. She believes that he'll give her food.]
no subject
However, the assumptive stereotype actually applies to Cullen, as he happens to like animals of all kinds. It probably has to do with being raised in such a small village with more animals than people in the vicinity. Or, maybe it is because he's Ferelden. Who knows.
When the wolf whines he puts his book and coffee cup down on the table's surface and holds out his hand for it to sniff.]
I'm sorry, friend. I'm also waiting to be served. It should be here soon.
[And he's probably going to share it with the animal. Like 99% sure.]

Having a good time?
[ she asks, extending a hand for the female wolf to sniff if she'd like. ]

She tries to see if Rosa has food, sniffing at her hands and pockets. After a few seconds she presses her side against Rosa's legs in a friendly dog-like gesture.]
no subject
Definitely not just a wolf. As the canine sniffs at Rose, she holds out her empty palms and gives a little shrug. Sorry, Freya, she doesn't have much in the way of food. ]
I'll take that as a yes, [ she says, reaching to give the wolf a scritch behind her ears if she'll allow it. Rose knows some werewolves can be kind of weird about that, but- Then again, her world's werewolves were nothing like this. ]

2.0 → 3.0
She looked familiar. Ed knew Freya as a human, but in that moment he didn't exactly make the connection. He doesn't say anything, golden eyes narrowing curiously from the doorway to the kitchen. He had made that space for Laura with the arcade games, but if this girl had been invited there she'd gotten lost on the way or wandered further than she should have. Giving a bunch of kids access to one room that wasn't connected to his house was one thing, but finding a complete stranger inside? That was something else entirely.
"You looking for someone?"
2.0 → 3.0
'This place smells like me.' The words echoed through her head as she looked up at Ed. He didn't look familiar but she could smell herself on him too.
"Do I live here? I can't find where I live." There were too many locations that held her scent.
no subject
He frowned when Freya stopped at the blanket, knowing Misty was the only pet in the house that seemed to come and go as she pleased. Carefully, he watched her for a reaction as he answered. "Not unless you're some kind of shapeshifter." Would a kid her age transform into a full grown wolf? It wasn't something he was exactly an expert on. If she said that she was he'd start asking questions, but he was more or less expecting her to call such a suggestion ridiculous.

Instead, he wriggles on up to her and then flops over onto his back, showing his belly and tail tucked in a sign of submission. Maybe she's nice and they can play together?]
3.0
Dog but not a dog.
That's the easiest way for her to quantify the dogs scent though her nose isn't the only thing that's speaking to her. His actions aren't completely like an animal. It isn't obvious things but small ticks that make Freya curious about this new husky-like creature.
Freya snaps playfully at him when he rolls over before bounding over him. She pauses after a few yards, as if to see if the not-dog is going to come play with her.]
no subject
The wonderful part about this form that he doesn't have in his regular form is the ability to run for as long and as fast as he wants. He takes off like a shot, legs moving like pistons, looking to see if Freya is going to catch up with him or not.]

[ karaoke ]
And he is more than willing to share that with someone. Hands in his pockets, Dorian loiters outside until he spots Freya's approach. ]
Ready to go in?
[ karaoke ]
She jogs up in her usual dark pants. Her long blond hair is tied back in a braid and she's wearing a shirt that has a wolf picture on it.
Freya greats Dorian with a smile and a wave.]
I am ready! I wasn't late was I?
I didn't get lost but I absolutely got distracted. Someone was selling churros.
