Just like old times? [closed]

who: Link and Zelda
what: Zelda's doing some investigating beyond the wall. Link's tagging along as her knight bodyguard
when: Sometime after the Sampremi festivities begin
where: Abandoned City
warnings: They might run into a monster or something, but otherwise nothing.

The weather had warmed up quite a bit, and they sky was clear and sunny as Link and Zelda set out to investigate some ruins beyond the wall. The air was filled with the fresh clean scent of young plant life beginning to poke through the earth or budding on the trees. It was the kind of weather that made you want to just go out and enjoy the sunshine.

Link might not be relaxing in a park, but he was still glad to be outside. He was also glad to be with the princess as she did her research for the Magical Institute. Link wasn't completely sure what she was looking for, something to do with magical artifacts or the such that might be salvageable from the ruins. In any case, he was glad to be able to spend more time with her, even if it meant just being her bodyguard and keeping her safe from the possible threats that lurked in the uninhabited parts of the city.

Just like in Hyrule before the Calamity, Zelda led the way to wherever she needed to go with Link following close behind. The main difference here was that there was no heavy cloud of anxiety hanging over them since there was no threat of Ganon here, and they were free to focus on the task at hand and enjoy each other's company. As they walked, Link couldn't help but ask, "It just like back in Hyrule, isn't it?" Of course, he hadn't recovered all of his memories, but he remembered enough to know that this was what he had done then.

Following quietly behind Link, she nods her understanding as he describes what he can see. Now that they're here the sense of possible danger is a little heightened. Who knows what could be inside? Inside is where they need to be, though.

Zelda stares up at the windows, noting several of them are missing glass. A better entry point, possibly.

"According to the notes," she replies softly, "There should be a storage room at the back of the building. I think that's where anything important would be."
