Okay. But I guess what I mean is, why that name? It seems to be a logical leap from the letters DRN, but there was more thought into it than that?

Not all of us are called Dorian. If there was more thought involved, I'm not aware of it.

Whether my name has significance or not, only the people who made me can say.

[ And Dorian doubts they knew. It just felt right to be Dorian. ]

Names only gain significance by what you do with them. I'm a good example of that.

[he did manage to turn "Frankenstein" into a pretty damn significant name, even if it became known as something other than his original intention]

That comes from action and consequence. I'm afraid I'm not quite there yet in terms of memorability.

Surely you've performed actions that would make you memorable, Dorian. Hopefully in a more positive light than me, but still.

Well, I know fairies and a giant and like I told you, I have a friend who's a werewolf. So it's all relative.

Being both adds to my experience. I don't want to pretend I'm one over another.

I can understand that. So Dorian, anything you want to ask me? Seems fair.

[ Dorian pauses, mulling it over carefully before speaking. ]

Your . . . creations. What happened to them?

[jolting]

I don't know what happened to the first one. The second was destroyed, though.

[sentiences]

Did the first one run away?

[ It's a little baffling to lose track. ]

[jolting]

I really don’t know. I haven’t seen him in a long time. Anything could’ve happened to him.

[sentiences]

That sounds rather peculiar.

[ Dorian gets why his creator would lose track. There were hundreds of DRN models out there long ago. ]

[jolting]

Yeah, well, no that like I had a choice. I’m hoping he found peace, wherever he is now.

[sentiences]

You didn't have a choice?

I was forced to go to another land, far away from him.

[sentiences]

Another land?

[jolting]

You know how this is a different land from the one you came from? Same thing. I was taken from my land and made to live in another, and like here, it’s very difficult to go back.

[sentiences]

[ Ah. His expression clears up. ]

Magic, I assume?

You assume correctly. I was cursed to this other land and was trapped there for thirty years. I did go back to my own land, but of course after all that time, there was no way of tracking him down.
