[ Dorian pauses, mulling it over carefully before speaking. ]

Your . . . creations. What happened to them?

I don't know what happened to the first one. The second was destroyed, though.

Did the first one run away?

[ It's a little baffling to lose track. ]

I really don’t know. I haven’t seen him in a long time. Anything could’ve happened to him.

That sounds rather peculiar.

[ Dorian gets why his creator would lose track. There were hundreds of DRN models out there long ago. ]

Yeah, well, no that like I had a choice. I’m hoping he found peace, wherever he is now.

You didn't have a choice?

I was forced to go to another land, far away from him.

Another land?

You know how this is a different land from the one you came from? Same thing. I was taken from my land and made to live in another, and like here, it’s very difficult to go back.

[ Ah. His expression clears up. ]

Magic, I assume?

You assume correctly. I was cursed to this other land and was trapped there for thirty years. I did go back to my own land, but of course after all that time, there was no way of tracking him down.

[ Dorian nods. ]

What would you do if you ever saw him again?

I don't know. I always thought I would go back and get it right, but after so long, I'm not sure that's possible. Or if it would even work.

I think . . . it would still matter. If you tried.

Of course I'd still try, but... I'd have to go back to that world first.

[ Dorian nods in understanding. He's not sure if he wants to see Nigel again. Whether it would help. But he knows that it matters. ]

[he frowns a bit. Is it bad that he doesn't want to leave this place? He'll have to ponder this later. He stands and offers his hand]
