Makoto had spent a bit of time getting a few things done, got a sword, met new people, and made sure he had enough time to get out and about. Then he sent out a text to Yu and Akira:

Got some time between work and classes. Wanna train a bit?

They'd... hopefully be good with it? He knew Yu was looking to get some training in. And they should probably all get used to working together. Like the Investigation Team and SEES had.

Yu was still at the Perimeter Guard when he got the message from Makoto. He was just wrapping up his work. Training... he talked about this with Makoto earlier. He quickly returned to the armory to pick up the issued katana and slung it over his shoulder. He's not sure how useful it will be- he has been relying on his Personas for a long while now.

Strength training doesn't sound bad at all.

Sounds good to me! Where do you want to meet? I am still at the Perimeter.

Midway through the week, once Makoto has found speakers that were compatible with his little music player, even if he'd had to find a new cord for it to work it all out, he sent out a text to Wing:

Got some speakers. We could go train or something and set up my music so you can hear the music from my world. Up for it?

I can meet you there, no problem.

A jog over that way would be a good warm up anyway. Even if that was a very Akihiko kind of thought. He didn't mind that too much though, staying in shape was important. In fact, he headed over that way as he finished tapping SEND.

Ten minutes later, Yu will spot the blue haired teen approaching with a grin.

Train?

It could have meant quite a few things. If needed, he supposed he could point out how he did work in Unstoppable and thanks to his current job, had firearm experience. That wasn't quite the same though and he knew it. If it came to anything else... Akira had learned not everyone granted with Persona abilities were able to be trusted.

Yu could feel the tingles of actual fear going down his back at the thought of going beyond the wall. He trusts Makoto with this, in fact- he doesn't know a person better than him to have on the team. But... he doesn't really trust himself. He feels his powers wavering and he has to push that thought aside as Makoto comes in the view.

He waves back, returning the smile. "Thank you for this. I hope I am not bothering you with this request." Hopefully, this doesn't turn into a huge catastrophe instead of a training.

That was unexpected, but a pleasant surprise. His little communication device gives him a blip and pulls his attention, and the message on his screen gives him a smile. It isn't long before he'll reply.

I am. That sounds wonderful. When and where should I meet you?

Mhm, I know I haven't done any fighting or anything since we killed Nyx. And Yu seems like he's a bit rusty too. Plus, the more the merrier, and all that.

That sounded good, right? Really, Makoto was only used to being in charge out in the field. He'd never really been the one to plan a lot. He would tell Fuuka or Mitsuru when he wanted to head into Tartarus and they'd all go. Or they'd get everything prepared for the Full Moon operations.

Makoto wouldn't let anything happen to him. It was probably one of the reasons Akihiko and Mitsuru had made him SEE's leader. Reckless as he was with himself, he would always put himself in harms way before his teammates if he could help it.

"Nah, I could use the exercise anyway. I've gotten kind of lazy here." He missed his kendo practices, even if they sometimes ended with ramen. And just spending time with all his friends. "You just gave me a reason to stop making excuses."

That was believable, right?

The Perimeter Guard building sound good?

He didn't mind the location, really. At least there they had the space to play the music without disturbing anyone and Makoto could more easily display his Persona. Without disturbing anyone in a much less acceptable manner.

Nyx...? Something for him to note, and maybe ask once he felt he knew Makoto better. They were just preparing to fight their way into the cognition of Tokyo before he arrived. Akira frowned more as he debated on how to exactly answer the text.

Are you on the defense force? They're the only people that need to worry about it. Right?

He presumed it was untrue - he expected it to be untrue. But, he felt like he needed to know Makoto's intentions. Akira knew he wasn't the easiest to trust after what Shido did. It took him awhile to open up to others. But, once he did? He never left their side. They'd win him over for life.

That is where they stand on the equal grounds. And perhaps why they were marked as 'Fools' in the beginning. They still are, in a way, considering their way of thinking.

Yu chuckles: "Well, I'm glad I could help." Shifting, he rubbed back of his neck. "I tried working out at the Center's facilities, but it doesn't seem to be cutting it." Especially with Personas. He can't just summon Izanagi and blow up the place in name of practice.

I mean, I'm with the Perimeter Guard. So we won't get into any trouble. I think even regular citizens can go out anyway? At their own risk or I think they can ask for an escort. I'm still learning how this works.

Everyone keeping up some training is probably a good idea though.

Like some freak virus that somehow only affects the Guard or something. Really, Makoto liked to be as prepared as he could be. He'd been caught off guard too many times back home during the Dark Hour. Mitsuru and Akihiko would probably be proud of him being so pragmatic about this.

Oh, he could understand that feeling. He hadn't had the chance to summon either of his since he'd arrived. And he didn't want to scare anyone with how he managed it either. Not many people understood when they didn't have that power available to them.

"Yeah. Orpheus has been itching to get out. Probably can't really use Agi, but I'm sure, between the two of us, we have a lot of legs that need stretching."

... Is there anywhere to explore here? A place they wouldn't run into us training at?

He liked the idea of privacy. He was used to doing things in the shadows; not having his own abilities tied back to him. The other two had somehow figured out his own abilities. Even stranger, they seemed to have it as well. Just like someone else he knew once.

"I had some action with Izanagi, mainly back up," Yu says as he heads towards the gate, "but not nearly enough. Just relying on basic spells can help me only for so long."

Ah, Agi. He doesn't have that spell yet either. All of his Personas have either ice or electric attacks. He wonders briefly how to obtain more of them. Not having all the elements at his disposal makes Yu feel rather vulnerable.

"So! What is the plan? Where do we head out to?"

Makoto nodded, slowly, and watched him. He could imagine, and understand, being left with basic spells and only a few Persona's. He liked having a variety of elements at his disposal but he was comforted by Orpheus. And Messiah's Megidolaon.

"I figure maybe... half a mile out? Give us enough room to train but close enough to run if we need to."

I figured a little outside the city would give us the privacy we need while still have the security the wall provides.

Yeah, Makoto definitely understood that. He liked privacy himself, which made his accommodations a bit annoying. So he really just went there to sleep.

Alright. I'll meet you there.

Akira simply hoped this wasn't going to come back and bite him. Like Akechi could have. Maybe it was time for him to be a bit more trusting of the other two apparent Persona users.

He wouldn't blame Akira for his distrust. Before he'd moved back to Tatsumi Port Island, he never let himself close to people before. Once he had warmed up to S.E.E.S though-

Makoto made sure to grab sword and Evoker before heading to the meeting spot. He even pulled on his Gekkoukan uniform out of habit.

It does. I can be there soon. I'm not far from it right now.

Not far at all. He can be there in a matter of minutes if he really wanted, but he'll take a leisurely walk over there when Makoto decides.

In the mean time, Makoto would head there and hook up the speaker and his music player. He even set Burn My Dread to start playing before Wing could get there. And the start stretching.

It wasn't a chance he got often before heading into Tartarus. They usually didn't waste time since it was only there for an hour. And their muscles still ached after because of the strain of being active during the Dark Hour.

Yu was extremely glad that he had Izanagi with him when he first arrived here. While his adaptation ability is high (considering the amount of moving from city to city with his parents he did in the past), having his innate Persona with him felt like a warm cup of tea on a cold day.

"That sounds like a plan to me." Yu grins a bit as he pockets his hands while they walk. "Have we actually sparred against each other before? I don't think we did."

Akira arrived only a few minutes after Makoto did. He hadn't tried any of his abilities since he arrived in Riverview. After all, they were based in the Metaverse. Riverview was strange and unusual, but it wasn't the collected subconscious of humanity. He gave a firm nod to Makoto and toyed with the hair that came between his eyes. This was... going to be interesting.

Oh. Good question, he actually had to think back a bit before shaking his head. Nothing came immediately to mind. They'd all adapted pretty well to working together that sparring had never come up.

"I don't think we have. We should definitely try though. Maybe not outside the city though, just in case. Although, I'm sure either of us would be able to drag the other back if we got hurt." That applied either way though. At least Messiah had healing skills though.
