Yeah, he is pretty cute. And he's got a good personality. I get the feeling they are a flock animal because he wants to be around me or others in the house so much.

[Lyle snickers, looking at Kara before setting Kara down again when the bird started to squirm. The bird hopped around between them, looking like it was trying to play hopscotch very badly]

Maybe. It's hard to tell. He does like to hang out with Haro too.

[oh... the bird and Haro might be cute together. now he’s imagining it!]

It’s like you’re gathering a team here. Haro, Kara, me. You better take good care of us!

Oh of course I will. Kara's real ability is being cute.

[He'd seen it. Haro purposely propping himself against something so he didn't roll and then Kara hopping up on top of him and snuggling in. It was adorable]

That's my real ability, too! [he laughs, because he's joking. but Osomatsu tries to be cute. sometimes... most of the time he's garbage, though he has his moments]

Anyway, I could use a break from shopping. You wanna go get lunch?

Well, yeah. Of course it is. And you are very good at.

Yeah, let's take a break. I think Kara needs some lunch too.

[oh, Lyle. flattery will get you everywhere! Osomatsu looks proud of himself]

Oh, yeah? [then he looks at the Porg] What does Kara eat?

Plants and fish. So he has a bit of both a few times a day.

Plants and fish, huh... [he stands up straight again, and grins at Lyle] Should we get sushi, then?

[Well, that was an expensive version of what to give a porg, but sure, why not]

Yeah, sounds good. We can do that.

[maybe Osomatsu just wants sushi]

Great! There’s a really nice authentic Japanese restaurant right around here. I went there once, when I first got here, an’ I’ve been wanting t’go again.

[There is that too, but they would probably have stuff Kara could eat too]

Sounds like a plan. Let's go. I wonder if they've ever had a bird dining there before.

[Luckily Kara didn't seem too interested in wandering off without him so it shouldn't be a problem]

[Osomatsu laughs! that's right, Kara would be joining them. hopefully, it'll be okay. there are aliens all over the place, right?]

So what've you been up to? Besides makin' new friends.

[they're walking in the direction of the restaurant now, Osomatsu leading the way]

[Lyle starts walking in the direction of the restaurant as well, glancing back over at Kara. When the bird seemed distracted, Lyle whistled for it and the porg chased after them to follow Lyle. Yep, he's kind of figured this bird thing out here]

Not much. Working. Bird sitting. Trying to get Haro adjusted. Oh and the festival. You?

[ah, right. the festival]

Work, work, more work. Preparing for the festival at work... Oh. A few days ago, Aoba-kun came over to clean our house, so I helped with that.

Oh yeah, the cleaning part of it. Well, hopefully that was productive. I still need to do that. It's a little hard with a bird following you.

[hm] Yeah, guess it would be. Does it like t'make messes?

Well, he is a water bird. Before I got that wading pool, he liked to splash in the sink or shower. Also he either thinks the broom is a toy or a threat because if Kara is awake, he'll try to attack the broom. I have to wait for him to sleep.

[aw man! this all sounds adorable]

You got a wading pool for 'im? Haa! You're a good friend!

[they're coming up to the restaurant now, too. now they can see if pets are allowed to come in]

[He is adorable! The most adorable alien bird there is in Lyle's opinion]

Yeah. Kind of wish I could have something more for him, but that probably requires getting a bigger place.

[Well, the staff had probably never gotten a request to bring a bird into the restaurant, but oddly enough, they didn't turn them away for having the porg. Looks like Kara is having a fancy lunch today]

[fantastic! so the three of them are led to a table, and Osomatsu's practically bouncing in his seat at the thought of getting food he's familiar with. he also orders a beer right away. he's in a great mood]

I moved into a bigger place with my brothers recently. It's a lot nicer, and, surprisingly, affordable. I haven't been here for very long, yanno? So I didn't have a lot of money saved up. But getting a house was cheap.

[The staff seems to be amused by the idea of the porg eating there like it is a person because only a few moments after reaching the table, someone brought over a booster seat so Kara could sit at the table and see Lyle and Osomatsu. Okay... this was fun.

So with Kara in his chair, settling in and curling up like getting ready to take a nap (this was a comfy spot okay), Lyle ordered a beer as well]

I've noticed that. We've started to get more people from my world. Might be nice to look for a place that will hold all of us without possibly having to climb so many stairs.

[look at the porg in his booster seat! a thought occurs to Osomatsu, but it's silly (and weird!), so he doesn't voice it out loud]

More people from your world, huh? That must be nice.

[Lyle can probably guess what it is, but he's not going to bring it up. Nothing weird here... just a bird in a chair...]

Yeah it is. Also adds to the insanity. My brother is here now. Would you believe I'm technically older than him now?
