January/Arrival Log [Open]
who: Tim + You
what: Getting settled, mapping/exploring the city, meeting people at the community center, shopping for clothes, potential paintball/catchall log.
when: January, after the Glow Ball
where: Mostly around and about the inner city. May branch out for wildcards.
warnings: None at this time!
Action or Prose, both are fine, just lemme know which!
I. Mapping the City
A. Tim balanced on the balls of his feet as he looked over the city, perched on the edge of a rooftop covered in leafy vines. It's night, but it feels brighter here than it ever was back home. It had to be the big blue orb in the sky, or maybe just how much greener it was. No fog or smog to hide in. Nobody much but birds up here, too, and the occasional apartment resident smoking below. He kind of wonders if any of them are fliers. Hopefully not.
B. Once he has a good idea what the height is like, it's time to explore downward. Tim will be wandering around, all suited up. He may be riding on top of the sky tram, investigating the nooks and crannies of the business and residential districts, and/or on his way out to the abandoned city area.
II. Community Youth What?
Tim's first day of the job mainly consists of checking around the government building and finding a spot. He's not really sure where everything is yet; and can be found checking out the other offices and figuring out if there's any secret rooms or people to run into.
[Closed to Tony Stark (MCU)]: A helpful person does point him towards where the Community Head is, though, so he makes his way to the workshop of one Mr.Stark, knocking on the door.
III. Shopping for Clothes
Tim is in dire need of something other than his uniform, a fancy suit, and one t-shirt to wear.
He can be found wandering the shopping district or in the mall. His first stop is the secondhand shops for any hidden gems, but he does need a suit that isn't embroidered, so he'll be browsing the upper mid-end shops for formal wear.
A. Tim sifted through a pile of clothes, coming up with some serviceable plain tops and a couple of pairs of pants that wouldn't fall off his hips. Loaded up, he might not see anyone in front of him over his armful of clothes.
B. It was almost refreshing not having salesclerks fawn over a Wayne. That being said, it made shopping harder. He didn't technically need a nice suit for what work he's planning to do, but it was always nice to be prepared with a good one. Tim window-shopped as he thought about what would work best, pondering the merits of a three-peice over a business casual look.
IV. Wild Card!

IV. Wild Card!

"I know some people on the Perimeter Guard, but not a ton about survey. No drones, as far as I know. Mostly people going out and taking a look. There's some crazy shit out there, but it can be handled if you're careful." Or in a flying suit of armor.
no subject
"So improving the energy sector. Do you need anything for that?"
"Crazy is kind of what we have to work with back home, too. I haven't seen anything too bad but everyone keeps telling me about huge monsters somewhere out there." It did sound like everyone was pretty much relying on manpower. With how there seemed to be a surplus of it, Tim could kind of see why. "Someone was saying a god came out of there covered in burns."
no subject
It was one of the stranger parts of Tony's life that he could say that so easily these days. But it was amazing what a person could get used to when everything was just baseline nuts.
"But I don't need anything, no. Well not at the moment. We'll see what happens if we can expand into the abandoned parts a bit more."
no subject
"I heard there are missions that go past the wall. Reclaiming the area is going to need a big expedition if it's really as dangerous as they say it is." Maybe he'd stop by and check out what was available. "You could probably post one. We definitely have enough bored heroes to check something out."
no subject
The rest of it makes him shrug. "Dangerous yeah, but people do go out there. Survey teams and everything. The Perimeter Guard keeps themselves pretty busy." And tended to be the highest concentration of bored heroes aside. "One step at time on reclaiming."
no subject
"Have you been out there?" Tim was curious, mostly. It seemed like anyone could go out, really, but he wasn't sure how many of the current residents had.
no subject
Which, speaking of. "Been out there a few times, yeah. There's some weird shit over there."
no subject
"So you've seen giant monsters and cryptids? Everyone tells me something different, so far. You'd think there'd be a lot more noise with all that outside."

"I guess I have my work cut out for me. Thanks for sparing the time, Tony. If you ever need an extra pair of hands, let me know. I'm not a genius, but I know my way around coding and I tinker around with engines, sometimes, if you think I could be useful." He smiled a bit.
no subject
"Best thing I can suggest is just to keep your eyes open. There's more than enough to keep everybody busy around here."
no subject
"Thanks for your time, Tony-- and the tour. I'll definitely drop by again." He smiled and made his way out of the workshop.
