[ They do put on quite a show together, and John finds himself doing something as bizarre as... having fun. He even laughs and just kind of lets her do her thing, happy that at least his dumb idea seemed to go off well.

As the float nears the end of its route, he lets her down gently, and the breeze fades away. He huffs a little, flushed in the cheeks from exertion and excitement, and wipes his brow. ]
