(after some time, his eyes drift over — the look is simple, something wide and unblinking.

he could kill him right now, really. no one would be able to stop him, not at the sound-like speed he'd be applying to his jutsu, a bullet that'd drive through the centre of eichi's forehead and out of the back of his skull before anyone could even process the motion. even sasuke, whose eyes aren't active, whose blood is watered down with alcohol that'd delay his reaction time by even a millisecond. yeah, that'd be enough.

it'd paint the grass and then they'd react, which would give him ample time to leave. as much as he'd like to drag out his death or maybe stay with the body to make his cut and satisfy an urge, he'd probably make enemies at the campfire who'd react pretty suddenly. by their responses, they're all pretty innocent in this life or death game — definitely enough to take his actions personally — but could any of them really kill him? would sasuke take offence, or join him?

questions suigetsu steeps on, stare unmoving.)

It's okay, Sasuke. I had a brother. I didn't really wanna trample on the mood, since he's dead now, so I didn't think of answering. If you really wanna know, though, then that's fine.

[ Ooh, he really did hit a nerve. But his smile doesn't falter at all. He thinks Suigetsu deserves it, with how he acts, that something sensitive is brought up... ]

Death shouldn't ruin such a nice scene, don't worry. I'm surrounded by death and could die any day now, so it's not so startling for me. I'm sorry, though. I can't imagine how that must feel, since I've never had a sibling myself.

If you think about it, it's like drinking in his honor. Feel free to share as much or as little as you'd like and relax, Suigetsu~.

(standing up jerkily, all fingers curling into a tight fist. except for index and thumb, like a gun by his side.

[ The air seems to shift and Sasuke knows that feeling well, suddenly reddened eyes immediately going to Suigetsu with the barest shift of his own weight, still seated. ]

Don't. [ A single word that's both an order and informative, enough to tell him that should he attempt anything it won't succeed without some serious effort. ]

... as I said-- [ And here his stare settles on Eichi instead. ]

--we don't need a story. That's enough, Eichi.

[ During this, Sans realizes two things:

One, he kinda got screwed up and he's supposed to drink now.

Two, he sorta kept drinking, watching the rest of this interaction unfold until he's sipped his way through about a third of his cup. So he sits there, one phalanx dipped into the contents, giving it an assuredly unhygienic stir while he stares. ]

So, uh--Who's up next?

[ Eichi at least seems to get it, quietly eyeing Suigetsu and then Sasuke. He's done, he's done! ]

[ A short time later Gladio finally reaches back and claps a hand against Suigetsu's back. It's a friendly gesture, long after the outburst and awkward silence has fallen heavy among them... and Gladio picks up the mood. Well, more like changes the subject. ]

Siblings are great. You should see how cute my little sister is!

[ And with that he drains his cup. ]

(UNSURE. CAMARADERIE IS FOREIGN.

WHAT'S HAPPENING... HE'S BEING PATTED... FOR THREATENING EICHI? DID HE DO A GOOD JOB SOMEHOW?)

A-Ah. Um, right.

(raises his glass a little.)

[ He'll even pour, how about that! Is... he getting drunk? ]

finally gets the courage to ask what he's been wanting to ask since he saw him on the network.)

Why is your face so hairy, but your body isn't.

[ Sasuke's cup is held out to be refilled as well, interested in pushing his limits for the sake of the game and he's now out after that sibling round, but... ]

... you're also hairless. [ As he looks at Suigetsu. ]

I can't grow a beard like that, neither can you.

(MOTIONS)

But here he's got a hairy face... Shouldn't it extend downwards?

I hadn't thought it over much. [ Though Suigetsu has a point. It does seem inconsistent.

Here he joins his teammate in openly looking at Gladio; neither of them are particularly fussed by nudity or talking about bodies in general and for that I'm sorry. ]

... perhaps he removes it.

Hooh? Are you really that interested in me?

[ Gladio is deeply amused by the conversation. It might not be the first time it's happened. ]

...If you're that curious, I guess just once is alright --

[ Gladio grunts as he gets to his feet, then makes a deliberate drop of his gaze down to his belt, letting his hands settle at his sides...

And then reaches for the buckle. ]

[ I... okay, this is happening. ]

You're so helpful, Gladio!

(sits there, staring openly, with an aside to sasuke:)

It won't answer the question of why there's none on his chest, but at least we'll be able to compile what we do know from this.

Welp.

[ Sans starts to get to his feet, shaking out his hoodie and pushing first one arm through it and then the other.

Y'know. For effect. ]

This is my cue to leave.

[WHAT IS HAPPENING... He practically jumps to his feet in turn, very clearly swaying before he reaches for Gladio's arm to give him a tug back down.]

Wait, wait, is this really something you should be jumping to? It must be that your head isn't clear, so you should sit back down...

[He's flustered about nudity, ok!!]

[ Gladio bursts out laughing after what is FAR too much solemn silence, heavy with anticipation and anxiety. ]

You should have seen the looks on your faces!! Pfffhahaha!!

[ He wasn't serious after all. ]

Eichi sighs and his shoulders droop a little, and both of his hands clap lightly over his own chest. He sways a tiny bit more.]

I nearly had a heart attack just now, so I hope you're satisfied.
