[ Genji is perhaps realizing his slight error in judgement as well. He's never had to meditate in close proximity to... someone had an affection for. (He's nearly thirty-six years old, it isn't a crush.) He supposes his Master would just chuckle and say something about 'adversity' and 'change.' He misses that monk.

He takes a deep breath. ]
It is something you have to sort of work toward. It took me weeks to reach a sort of breakthrough with it, so it can depend.

[ He crosses his legs. ] I found that focusing on one specific thing and only that was a good starting point. Like a making a phrase a mantra in your head to help ground you. Or maybe an object or a memory? Something you've found calming in the past.
