[open] gimme fuel, gimme fire

who: Tony Stark and Open
what: Tony and his bots making themselves at home
when: September 4 - 30
where: Tony's workshop, shared housing, and anywhere in between
warnings: None yet

To the surprise of absolutely no one who knew him, once Tony's workshop was even moderately livable he essentially disappeared into it. He could occasionally be found heading back and forth towards where he (technically) slept, but that was mostly to grab something he'd forgotten or on the extremely rare occasions where he decided seeing actual daylight might be a good idea. Or someone else decided it for him, and was quite happy to hold his work hostage until he went along with it.

But being able to actually work, having his own private space to get things done, settled him in a way he couldn't articulate. A slight tension to his shoulders had loosened, something that would have been hard to notice until it was suddenly gone. Tony smiled a little easier, seemed much more pleased with himself with his hands covered in grease and soot.

With Dum-E and JARVIS there, the armor tucked into a corner like a watchful sentinel, it was almost like the best parts of the last few years. Sure the lack of his usual resources made it hard to forget that he wasn't exactly at home, but all said, Tony was about as settled as he was likely to get.

At least while dealing with everything else that got thrown at him, anyway.

Ivar hardly seems surprised by the answer. It just confirms what he already suspected. "Of course you are. That makes what, three here now? I think this confirms that the universe or the gods or whatever is pulling people in here has a sense of humor."

Tony might want to stop Ivar now, for the teenaged nuisance is now wheeling himself over to the nearest table. Ivar's a tactile person and will pick up whatever is nearest to him, playing around with it, no matter what the danger said tech might present to him. "So are you like the other two then? Arrogant, possibly insane, broken, and brilliant?" Ivar's seen a pattern in Starks around here.

"Yeah, I lived with one, and I've met the other. One of them built me these." He holds up one of his arms, showing off the arm brace. "Not the really drunken one, the other one." He frowns. "There really needs to be a better way of telling you three apart. I suggest shirts with One, Two, and Three stitched on them."

Ivar looks down at the metal contraption he's got in his hands, giving Tony a withering stare. He's young, but he's not stupid. Anyone who both handles weapons and also relies on his hands as much as Ivar does knows how to handle things with sharp edges. "Why would I steal anything? I don't even know how this stuff works." He doesn't consider so much as science as a strange form of magic he still doesn't understand.

"You want people not to come in here, lock the door. Otherwise, it's fair game for curiosity." Ivar's thumb pushes a wire into the way of another's stripped end. The two touching create a spark, which startles the teenage Viking enough to hastily drop the contraption. He's at least got enough sense to know that messing around too much with Stark tech was going to end badly for him.

"It's not that difficult, just more confusing when you're talking about three people who all have the same name." He gives Tony a long once-over look, as if he's judging him silently. It's especially effective with the piercing blue eye color he has. "I wonder what you could come up with for me in that strange mind of yours." Much as he doesn't understand how the tech really works, he rather likes what the end result can end up being.

Ivar grins sharply at the words, and while there is the sliver of a knife's edge in that smile, there's some general warmth in there too. "You'll learn to like me." Then he shrugs. "Or you won't." Ivar had one of those love-them-or-hate-them personalities. There was really no in between with him.

"I don't pretend to understand what you people do. But I like the end result." He holds up one of his arm braces, making a flicking motion with his wrist. A hidden blade comes popping out. When it came to weapons, Starks had all the best toys.
