So - there's this herb here that kinda tastes like lavender, but it's a little more full bodied? Gonna see how it goes with a blueberry macaron, see if the flavors balance well or if I gotta try something more subtle.

Shit, that sounds good! Lavender-y with blueberry... purple or blue for that?

I dunno, bubbale. We've got like, what? One of us every couple months, maybe it'll keep happening. [And then, because he has a feeling he can guess where this is coming from, Taako actually pauses what he's doing to look at Lup.] Do you miss him?

...it's weird, right? It's only been like... two months and I'm used to waiting for him up to a whole year whenever he got his stupid denim ass killed.

[Lup makes herself comfortable on the counter again, moving her egg bowl so it doesn't fall over.]

I guess I kinda want to show Barry this place? Merle and our illustrious captain, too... it's like one of those cycles when only half of us lived and now we're stacking up experiences to bombard them with once they come back.

[Macarons can definitely wait; Taako wanders closer so his hip is resting against Lup's knee, reaching out to lightly bop her on the nose.]

They could show up tomorrow, could show up in a couple years after we've gone, it's the not knowing, right? That's what's got you fucked up?

Taako hits it all on the right spot, though, and Lup sighs a little bit before reaching up to play with a loose lock of hair. She could never just sit still and talk, needing to occupy herself with something else just to focus.

[Lup isn't sure if to be happy or worried about that, but she's still grinning. She knows full well what he's doing, and it's appreciated.

Of course death loves me, I'm hot shit. [It's easier to make jokes about it than to actually seriously consider the fact that someone (outside the IPRE) loves him.] He didn't care about like, the face thing, either.
