who: Re-L Mayer & Friends what: Assorted Shenanigans when: The month of September! where: Her apartment, around Riverview, the Ruins, anywhere really... warnings: None yet? I'll add some if it's needed for sure
After what had seemed like an eternity, Re-L was back to feeling at least relatively normal. There's still a little bit of weight to put back on, if she's honest with herself, but around a month of trying to fight colds and the like would do that to a person. Since seeing Bones she's kept a low profile in her apartment and the detective's offices, mostly working from home when she felt up to it. Occasionally there'd be a cursory message shot Bones' way to tell him about her progress, or to give him a clue of how bad cough medicine tasted, the like, but her progress was mostly upward with a little treatment. There's no stopping a busy body like Re-L Mayer, of course, but at the very least the good doctor had been patient with her and her inability to just sit the hell down and get better. Or even, at times, to ask for help in the first place.
With the asking for help part over with, and much grumbling on the good doctor's part about being too damn hard headed and the lot, Re-L returns to Bones and Jim's place to, finally, receive her vaccination to hopefully prevent any further episodes of chronic colds.
She'd thought about just going by the hospital, but... it might seem out of place to pass him a bottle of whiskey she was told was good while in the middle of his work day. So instead she'll keep it in her bag, for now, as a little consolation prize for putting up with her shit.
"I thought I'd need this before I tried going out of the city, at least."
for Bones
