[ Clark knows he's safe in Taako's hands. It's okay for him to feel afraid. ]

[He isn't entirely convinced but he won't push it, either, though is does decide to switch up which spell he was going to go for next.

He smile widens.]

Wanna turn into a dinosaur?

[This is a higher level spell than he was planning to use, but it isn't harmful, so he's thinking it'll be less unsettling.]

[signifies]

Are you serious?

[ Clark is a huge nerd. ]

[He knows.]

Hell yeah, my dude, I got pteranodon, allosaurus, ankylosaurus, triceratops and my personal favorite, the t-rex. Take your pick!

[signifies]

[ Jon should see this. ]

Would you mind trying out the T-Rex?

Nah, I just told you about it so I could refuse to do it.

[Which is all the warning that Clark gets before Taako waves his wand again and, well, Clark's a tyrannosaurus rex now. The spell transforms his clothes as well, so there's need to worry about modesty.

Taako laughs, looking up at Clark, raising his voice just a little since his head is a lot further away now.]

You're not gonna be able to talk, so just like, roar twice when you're ready to go back.

[signifies]

[ Clark swings his new tail. He grins at Taako with his new (very pointy) teeth and bends down to nudge him playfully.

This is THE BEST ]

[Look, despite the fact that Taako has cast this spell on himself, it's still vaguely unnerving to have a big fuck off t-rex putting it's face near him. He startles a little but laughs it off and makes a half hearted attempt at batting Clark away.]

Yeah, yeah, I'm glad you're having fun.

[He is, though, he's glad this very sneaky plan to cheer up Clark was successful.]

[signifies]

[ Clark walks around the campsite leaving huge footprints on the ground. He does this for a solid half hour before coming back to where Taako is.

He roars twice. ]

[Alright buddy you have fun.

Taako keeps himself amused for that half hour by checking out Clark's luxury camp accommodation, wishing Magnus and his carpentry skills were here to fix it up. There's probably a few things he could do with magic to make it a little less shitty, but he'll save that for a day he's not spending spell slots on Clark.

When Clark's finally done, a wave of Taako's hand drops the spell.]

I'm gonna have to specify that you're not allowed to ask to be a t-rex whenever you feel like.

[He's teasing.]

[signifies]

[ The accomodations aren't very luxury. The shelter stores food and wood. While there's a place to comfortably sit, there's no place to sleep.

He looks down at his body in wonder. All his clothes were transmuted with him. ]

I knew I should have nibbled you.

[spellslots]

I wish you'd said that in literally any other context.

[He couldn't resist. Clark only has himself to blame.]

[signifies]

[ Clark is usually smiling at Taako. This time he laughs. ]

I deserved that. All right. What's next?

[Well, clearly Clark is feeling at least a little better, maybe that's why Taako is looking smug.]

C'mere, I gotta be touching you for this one, but it's pretty harmless. You'll be able to understand other languages.

[signifies]

[ He trusts Taako. Clark moves near him at once. ]

Is it permanent?

[spellslots]

Nah, there's very few spells that stick.

[Taako puts his hand on Clark, casts the spell, and then when he continues talking, it's in Elvish.]

I mean, except when you kill someone with a spell, that's usually pretty permanent.

[signifies]

I thought as much.

I'm glad to know you can't turn me into a frog for long.

[spellslots]

[With a grin:]

Not yet.

[That's.... not a joke, although it's not an easy spell to pull off and he won't be capable of it for a while.]

Next one is pretty fucking useless for you, it's called stoneskin and it does exactly what it says on the tin. Ready?

[He reaches out again, hand hovering near Clark's shoulder, but he won't cast it until he's got the okay.]

[signifies]

[ Clark nods. ]

Ready.

[With one hand on Clark's arm, Taako gestures with the other, casting the spell.

It... really probably won't feel any different. It just makes Clark's skin as hard as stone which is honestly weaker than he normally is. But Taako can tell that it worked.]

So far we're six for six, you wanna keep going to try 'em all?

[Since five spells working on him might be enough to show he's not immune to it.]

[signifies]

[ They made that point when Taako stopped him from moving.

Clark moves his arms and flexes his fingers. If he didn't feel so weird he might have asked someone to shoot at him to see if he was still as fast. ]

I think we're good. Thank you.

[spellslots]

[As he tucks the wand back into a pocket, Taako drops the lingering spells, leaving Clark back exactly as he normally is.]

Sorry for finding your weakness. [It's not his fault, but it still must suck for Clark.] If you're, uh– I dunno if it makes a difference but any magic user you go up against isn't gonna have as easy a time casting shit as I did, since you weren't tryna avoid it.

[Clark is fast, and a lot of physical spells can be dodged.]

[signifies]

[ Clark shakes his head. ]

It's all right. I'd rather find out with you now than in a fight with someone trying to kill me with magic.

[ He's been doing some reading since he first learnt about the existence of magic and not all of it works the same way. ]

Can you cast something that protects me or Jon?

[spellslots]

[Yeah, that makes sense, and Taako gives a little nod but decides not to comment much more on magic users trying to kill Clark.

Especially when he brings up Jon.]

I can hide one of you at a time, from divination spells, and I got a couple different shields, or spells that protect places. But wizards are kinda about the offensive magic, not protective. You'd want a bard or a cleric for that. [He shrugs, but it's lacking the real carelessness.] Sorry, bubbale.

[signifies]

[ He can go to the library and do some research. ]
