Plus I cook, apparently you guys have been living off weird gross space stuff in your space castle? So that probably helped.

*Last time she talked food with Keith was when Keith arrived. And she could offer to make real food. That had flavors and ingredients.*

Well, I guess he's warming up to me a little. Since I first started talking to him. So that's good. He got a little weird about stuff after the fire.

*Was that Keith being protective?*

Yes, our lovely food goo as Hunk started calling it. Looks a little like green jello... except its not. About ninety percent of the time that is the only thing available to eat. That is one of the things I've liked about this place. Real food. And recognizable food at that.

[He does raise an eyebrow at her comment though]

Weird? Weird how?

Flying space castles sound awful if that's what you have to eat.

*Lola not everything is about food. Except, you know, living, living is about food.*

Like, he just ran into a burning building and was clearly worn out and hurt but decided to worry about me instead? I came out of the fire really okay. Except for the freaky powers I have now.

Well to be fair, it is an alien castle for us. The Alteans are more used to it. There's nothing weird about it for them.

The castle was nice otherwise.

[He barely has to think about what she tells him there]

That doesn't sound weird for Keith. That sounds pretty normal for him. If you're his friend, he's going to worry about you.

What kind of powers did you come out of the fire with?

Still sounds like you should find other sources of food.

*Lola that's not the only important... oh nevermind.*

Oh, well, he still kinda came out of a burning building and really should have been more worried about himself.

I was just tired cause I kinda heal people if I focus too hard on them. I think. I'm still not done figuring out what's up with me.

We've done what we could.

[And leaving the conversation about food at that]

Again, that doesn't sound weird for Keith. He would be the person to push himself in order to make sure someone else is alright.

So that's what you are able to do now? Heal people?

Huh. Good to know, I can pester him for overdoing it.

I guess, I know people can feel when it's happening but there haven't been enough injured people to test it on.

*She closed her eyes for a few moments and tried to focus her thoughts on Shiro... making the link. It's a nice calming sensation, feels like not being alone. Being watched over.*

[Shiro chuckled at that] Get in line. There's a list for that.

[And Shiro's at the top of the list most of the time.

He tilted his head at her comment but after a moment, he began to feel that aura around her. It's definitely not what he was expecting, but given how he tended to feel a lot of the time, it was nice. Almost safe]

That's what you can do?

I guess other people can do it while I get a handle on this... whatever it is.

*She yawned and lay back down. Not curling up on Shiro but just... not trying to sit up anymore. Her power hasn't shut off.*

It does some sciency words that mean it closes wounds and restores energy. It can't do anything really big though, just... like a super effective band-aid. But the way you know it's happening is you that.

[Shiro hadn't done anything to push her away so even as she laid down next to him, he still didn't. Okay, it was odd that she had found her way to his bed, but nothing was going to happen]

I see. That's a useful ability. I'd think there would be someone here who would be able to help you with that ability. So it just showed up after the fire?

More useful if I could control it completely.

It showed up a few weeks before the fire. But I couldn't really tell what it was doing, nobody was hurt so I was just tired. A lot.

So it showed up completely unprompted by anything? And this is not something you were aware of being able to do before?

*Lola nods, sleepily. Her power has finally petered out, mostly because she's tired.*

Just started happening... nothing like it on my Earth. Not a thing I could do ever...

Huh... I wonder if it is something to do with this place. Either with the portal or something in the air. It could be that its effecting people. I wonder if other people have gotten powers that they had never known about before.

[He feels the difference as her powers drop away. She looks like she's getting tired again. Well, definitely not kicking her out. She can stay there and get some rest]

I think someone else... powers... but they're not really someone I talk to...

*And Lola's hair has turned white. Guess who went back to sleep.*

[And Shiro is going to guess she's gone back to sleep based on the hair color change. So he shifted as much as he could to the other side of the bed so that they could both get some sleep]
