He figures she's one of the 'regulars' that Edward mentioned to him before. And even if this is the case, he feels bad waking her up into confusion, in what's probably a weird environment for her, so he offers her some kindness.
"You want some cereal or something?"
no subject
With that her hair became a very vibrant bubblegum pink as she's now very awake. This was definitely not her. She'd probably need to take it easy for a few days if she's going to keep having issues falling asleep like this. Still... she's imposed, there's only one thing she can do.
"Um, if you have time, I can make something more than cereal for you, like scrambled eggs. If you have eggs in your kitchen anyway..." She can't impose unless she's helping in some way, making breakfast for both of them would make things... well, less weird? If that's a thing.

"Actually, eggs do sound kinda good." He does, actually, have some eggs. He had bought them in an attempt to try cooking real food, but it didn't go well, so he needs to get rid of them without actually attempting to cook them himself.
"Oh—by the way, I'm Magnus."
no subject
She doesn't wait for an answer as she heads over and starts taking inventory of the stuff she'd need just for general cooking of breakfast. "I'm Lola, Yuffie's friend. Sorta Ed's friend too. Al and Jason seem to like me. I mean, I keep bringing cookies so what isn't to like?"
"I don't normally just fall asleep on other people's sofas. But I've been really worn out the past week."
no subject
"Sorry. Scrambled works for me!" He pulls his carton of eggs from the fridge, then starts retrieving the supplies. "Thanks for cooking. I... don't know how." He shrugs. "I tried a few days ago and it ended badly. I'm gonna hold off on trying again. But if I can help you out at all, let me know."
Once he's through with setup, he maneuvers himself out of her way, but still in a decent talking distance. "What's got you down, kid?"

Lola hums to herself as she starts to work on cooking, there is a lot to do and she probably should figure out about her tired issue. "Don't worry about it, a lot of people come here not knowing how to cook. I think it's just... a thing."
"Huh? I'm not down, just really tired all the time. Especially after spending time with someone who I worry about a little. Things like that. I dunno... it's new." Lola mused about herself, completely undistracted from cooking. Her hands moving and making sure everything is just so as if she's been cooking for a long time. "I feel pretty good right now but I'll probably just get tired again when I go back to my floor, or to work, or school."
no subject
He reacts when she mentions school. "That's probably what's making you so tired. School suuuuucks." Super Cool Relatable Adult Magnus has all the answers.
no subject
"I don't hate school, it just feels harder starting over. Without my friends." That's because, Lola, most of your almost passing grades are thanks to help from your friends studying. Working on it by yourself has been messing with you.
no subject
But do you, Magnus? The reason he ended up here in the first place is because he felt like he didn't belong where he was. Like he didn't have anyone to leave behind. ...But he's already dedicated himself to being Cool and Relatable in front of this Youth, so.
"Hey, I hope it's not rude to ask, but how'd you end up on this floor, anyway? D'you sleep walk or something?"
no subject
Lola still hadn't figured out what to do with Li's gardening supplies, she'd have to work on that. Or she could keep culling it of stuff ready to be used and then just get rid of it. It did help with budgeting food but not by much. "And then it was morning."
She was making quick work of breakfast, cooking and prepping plates like she's seen done a hundred times at the diner. But she manages to break long enough to check her reflection and will her hair back to her more favored blue color. "At least it was a good sleep, I don't normally end up with pink unless I slept really well."
no subject
Since she's just about done cooking, he walks to the fridge and pulls out some juice. "You want a glass?"
no subject
Lola was working on plating, "Sure, definitely! Thank you." She's smiling and happy, that's good right?
no subject
"That's something you can do here? You can just walk into a barbershop and say, 'Hey, can I get some of that magic hair'?" He seems excited at the prospect. "Awesome!"
no subject
She set down the plates and took her own glass, "But this place has some amazing tech, I mean. I have hair that kinda reads my mind to change color. Who would even think of a thing like that?"
no subject
He digs into his breakfast. He's been spoiled with Taako's outstanding food lately, but there's nothing wrong with Lola's cooking. "Good job on the eggs."
no subject
"You can't really... mess up scrambled eggs." Lola doesn't understand how to screw up eggs, but she's been around food all her life so she's pretty okay with it. Still, praise is praise, she's smiling as she works on her own food.

He checks the time on his phone. "Oh, crap, I gotta finish getting ready for work. I wasn't paying attention." He gets up from his chair. "Don't worry about clean-up, I'll handle it before I head out." Before he walks away, he turns to her one last time. "Thanks again for breakfast. Will I be seeing you around Floor Six again?"
no subject
See, she helps. "Um... not, in the morning. But like, so long as Yuffie and Ed live here I'll probably be around?"
