Why is there poking? Sleeping should not be interrupted by poking. Ever. She does eventually blink her eyes open. Hair still that half-asleep snowy white. She's looking at Keith, she definitely recognizes Keith, but she's tired enough that what comes from that is missing some key levels of 'why this matters.'

"Why are you waking me up?"

Yeah, she's not there yet, she's tired. She'll just curl right up against Keith again for a moment. Just a few moments. Her hair then goes from white to... well, his shade of red. The one from his jacket and his armor. And sits back up again. "Am I in your bed, or are you in my bed?"

Lola's glad the plan involves not wearing kimonos, she's a little more concerned they are heading away from the communal housing building instead of toward it. See, Lola's a bit put out because she has no less than six super cute bikinis and she'd have totally worn one under her kimono if this was the plan.

"So..." Lola does figure out they're alone. Or at least out of any direct line of sight. Lola's mind puts this together with their lack of suits but gets a totally different answer from Yuffie's. "Princess tea and skinny dipping was your date idea?"

Not that she's opposed, she just wants to be sure.

Boys get so weird about being checked out. Boys check girls out all the time but the moment a cute girl gives them the once over they get all weird and discombobulated. Lola isn't immune to competition, she just generally isn't hurt to lose.

But she totally takes this chance to get ahead of him. She's a lot of energy in a tiny little form and has no trouble going handhold to handhold. Letting the fun wash away her concerns about how this might impact the look of her arms. Leaving him with a smirk as she passes.

"If strange things only happen at night we'll have to see what tomorrow looks like. Maybe other people did the same thing tonight, maybe more will do it another night. So yeah, waiting."

He nodded at the rest of what she said, smirking at the cold armpillow crack but not commenting. "I'll keep an eye out, but in the meantime you should definitely get some sleep." He should too, but he might be up for a bit thinking about this now. "Good luck finding the right bed this time."

Plus I cook, apparently you guys have been living off weird gross space stuff in your space castle? So that probably helped.

*Last time she talked food with Keith was when Keith arrived. And she could offer to make real food. That had flavors and ingredients.*

Well, I guess he's warming up to me a little. Since I first started talking to him. So that's good. He got a little weird about stuff after the fire.

*Was that Keith being protective?*

"I- uh..." Keith faltered for a moment, but then her hair changed color suddenly. Oh, look... red... For a second, her question caught him off guard, and he actually had to look around to be sure. After all, he'd been in other people's beds, and now people were in his, and... yeah, this was just weird.

"You- you're in my mine," he said.

At first, Keith's competitive side kicked in, and yes... he totally did want to win. Not that he was an overly sore loser when it was a good challenge and the winner didn't rub it in his face too much, but he liked to win.

But, what kind of late teens male would he be if his hormones didn't give him that nudge to actually check her out as she went past? Not that he hadn't before, but sure, he was going to again. And he was definitely going to notice the cute... and that she had a nice shapely figure... and- wait. Was he being creepy? Was that a thing? Lola had definitely never given him the idea that she didn't like being checked out, but Keith was pretty aware that some people didn't appreciate it.

He softly cleared his throat and focused back on the wall for a moment, still sort of stuck in that spot while his head worked through his thoughts and feelings a bit, and then finally started climbing again. Yeah. Get it together, Keith.

Yuffie began to tug at the obi around her waist, turning back to look at Lola with a devilish grin. "Sorta, yeah." She laughed as she slipped her Kimono from her thin frame. Yuffie's skin was very pale and her frame small but lethal. She was wearing a plan pair of cotton black underwear.

"I wanted it to be a surprise." Hopefully it was a good surprise.

Yes, our lovely food goo as Hunk started calling it. Looks a little like green jello... except its not. About ninety percent of the time that is the only thing available to eat. That is one of the things I've liked about this place. Real food. And recognizable food at that.

[He does raise an eyebrow at her comment though]

Weird? Weird how?

Flying space castles sound awful if that's what you have to eat.

*Lola not everything is about food. Except, you know, living, living is about food.*

Like, he just ran into a burning building and was clearly worn out and hurt but decided to worry about me instead? I came out of the fire really okay. Except for the freaky powers I have now.

Lola considers a moment, confirms what she's wearing, then just decides to curl back up against Keith. He's warm, not a stranger, not really old, not dating her best friend, and he's warm so this seems totally okay. "Well, it'd be weird if you were in my bed. Mostly because of what I wear to bed."

Said as if this isn't weird, which it clearly is. And Lola don't remind Keith your idea of pajamas are showy and breathable because that won't help anything. He doesn't need that, that's not fair to him.

Lola considers a moment as she has better luck getting out of her kimono than she had putting it on. Her boyshorts matched her hair (because of course that was important) and her tank-top was, unfortunately, white. Lola considered for a moment. Heart beating really loud in her ears as she thought, which made thinking harder. Before both garments joined her kimono on the beach.

Well, Yuffie didn't correct on skinny dipping. And neither garment would really cover once wet anyway. "It's a good surprise, but if I had known we'd go swimming I'd have just worn my bikini. Would have saved me time fretting over underclothes."

Lola had been focusing on climbing but she had been listening for movement. The fact that Keith didn't start moving right away was a little concerning. Until she glanced back to see where his focus was. The smile on her face says 'yes she knows' and also 'she quite likes being looked at.' At least when she knows whose doing the looking, and appreciates them in some way. It makes being appreciated a little more meaningful.

She may have winked at him? Just to sell the point. If the smile and the knowing look didn't. Still, with that out of the way she's climbing again. She's good but Keith can catch up if he can focus. It probably helps Lola's a lot better at teasing, being checked out, and checking others out, than Keith is.

Uh... okay. Keith sort of tensed up a bit, almost like he was afraid to move. He had to mentally remind himself a few times to just chill. If she was okay with this, then okay. He... felt a little weird? But, honestly, it wasn't the worst thing that could happen. She was nice. She was cute. She wasn't trying to force herself on him. All things considered, this really could be a thousand times worse. Just... calm down.

Wait, what?

"What you wear to bed?"

No, Keith... you shouldn't have asked that.

Keith felt his face get warm for a second, meaning it was extremely likely he was blushing, so he immediately looked at the wall, attempting to hide that. He didn't want to be Lance here or anything. Just... climb the wall, Keith. That was what you came for.

He pushed harder now, focusing more the the climbing and the idea that he could probably get to the top first, even with Lola's current lead. That was a safer train of thought.

Though... if she got stuck and couldn't reach something? He'd probably actually turn back and help her...

Lola was sleepy so her response came out exactly the worst way it could, "Summertime is for not wearing lots of clothes..." This isn't to say she slept naked, that'd be ridiculous, but she did show almost all of her legs while she was in bed. Later in the year she'd switch to full covering fuzzy pajamas, of course. But that wasn't now.

Like, if she were awake she'd realize maybe not sharing that information if she didn't need to. Keith wasn't on her half of the floor so he didn't really need to know.

Well to be fair, it is an alien castle for us. The Alteans are more used to it. There's nothing weird about it for them.

The castle was nice otherwise.

[He barely has to think about what she tells him there]

That doesn't sound weird for Keith. That sounds pretty normal for him. If you're his friend, he's going to worry about you.

What kind of powers did you come out of the fire with?

Yup. His mind went there.

"Oh... uh. Yeah. Then it's probably better this way."

Yeah. He didn't want to freak her out about that. So, he would just agree. That sounded good.

"You're okay with being here, though?"

"I'd just wake myself up more if I walked back to my bed and got changed," Lola's hair faded out from the full red to a sorta washed out look. When it came to thinking this plan through, maybe she hadn't exactly. But Keith was nice, warm, and honestly this was close enough to her own bed she didn't feel too bad just sleeping here.

"Do you want me to go?"

Yuffie snickered when she turned to look back at Lola. "Next time I'll let you know before hand. I'd never plan a boring date." And she had known that the tea ceremony was boring. There were reasons why Yuffie skipped most of her princess related lessons and it wasn't just to piss off her dad and steal food from the kitchens.

When she sees Lola strip completely she follows suit. She wasn't going to leave her alone in whatever state of dress. Solidarity.

"Ready? Now you'll get to see me actually swim."

Lola may have been averting her eyes, doesn't mean she didn't steal a few glances here or there. Ninja was a good workout. Lola might need to compare notes.

Lola, in spite of stolen glances, does take a moment to drink in all of Yuffie. before running up and kissing her. It wasn't passionate, it was a quick pressing of lips, ending in a smile. "Thank you for not being a boring date. Now let's swim!"

"Oh! Uh... no..." He faltered a little, because it wasn't terrible, and she was really snuggly, and it felt kind of nice, even if he wasn't sure. But, if she was okay with it... "You can stay."

"Thank you." Look Lola's going to just drift back to sleep cuddling up to Keith like this isn't a big deal. Keith can just deal with how this looks in the morning. Or worry about that all night. Whatever works for him.

Lola's hair is completely snow white now.

Still sounds like you should find other sources of food.

*Lola that's not the only important... oh nevermind.*

Oh, well, he still kinda came out of a burning building and really should have been more worried about himself.

I was just tired cause I kinda heal people if I focus too hard on them. I think. I'm still not done figuring out what's up with me.
